Awful, awful coffee following "rebrand". Your marketing team clearly haven't experienced the new product. Grains don't dissolve, bitter tasting, sludge left at the end. Even the packaging was cheap... Se mer

Been drinking Kenco Rich for decades and the taste is now unrecognisable. It clearly has been cheapened and now tastes like smoked sawdust with a dirty residue left in the cup. I reluctantly understan... Se mer
Kenco, what a complete let down of your loyal coffee drinkers. Another casualty of shrinkflation, and a recipe change to boot. You can wrap as much jargon around your recent changes. You've sacrifi... Se mer
How can a long standing coffee blend be updated so dramatically? It’s stronger, more bitter, takes longer to dissolve and so needs stirring and leaves a horrible residue in the mug. Basically. It’s... Se mer

You've lost a loyal consumer
I have purchased &enjoyed Kenco Rich for as long as I can remember, now in my late 70's I will be changing brands. Whatever you have done to the blend has ruined the product, it is a bad move. Goodbye Kenco
Please change back to the old recipe…
Please change back to the old recipe with no ground coffee - most people don't like the bitterness and grit left in the cup
What happened Kenco??
Bought this recently, just thought they had redesigned the jar… had a nasty surprise. This is no longer the same Kenco Rich that we’ve been buying for decades, has been changed (not for the better) without any warning from Kenco.
It doesn’t have that delicious coffee smell we’re used to upon opening the jar, it tastes weak but very bitter, it has an almost floury texture on the palate, leaves a ton of black sludge at the bottom of the cup and stains the cup too. It tastes so cheap, it truly is vile.
I couldn’t figure it out until I looked at the back of an older jar I had in the cupboard - it now contains some ground coffee. People at Kenco, If we wanted the taste of ground coffee we would purchase ground coffee! The shrinking of the jar or a price increase doesn’t necessarily bother me, the content however really does.
I, like many others, will be moving on from Kenco which is a shame.
Oh Kenco, what have you done?
Oh Kenco, what have you done? And why? Kenco Rich has been the only coffee we'd buy for years, but the last refill pack we opened has just gone into the bin! 1st cup from it this morning I thought I'd gone wrong with the milk, it was so dark, no flavour whatsoever, and just what was the black sludge that was left in the cups? And as for the "aroma" from the coffee bag, well it was indescribable but definitely not coffee. Sadly I'll have to find another brand.

A company that has seen 61% revenue increase over the past 3 years has decided to cut the amounts in jars "to fit the refills" (yeah just make the bagged refills more that's cheaper) and changed the formula by bulking it with shoddy granules. You guys have literally ruined my mornings and now I have to go find a better instant coffee, for years I've drank the smooth range , nothing would beat it now I'm it's not the same a it leaves so much dark sludge at the bottom.

Having found an instant coffee that l liked. You go and change it,.The new rich blend, has become bitter, less flavour and leaves bitter. Grounds in the bottom of my mug.
Unfortunately i will not be buying it again
Really disappointed
Really disappointed with the new blend of coffee in the Smooth jar. Have bought this coffee for years, why have they changed it? I will have to look for something else!

We have been drinking Kenco smooth for literally years , always loved it , now it is tasteless, bland , leaves a residue in the bottoms of the mug this is so disappointing .. will be looking for an alternative coffee … well done Kenco for ruining your brand and losing faithful customers !!
Thought I was going crazy
Thought I was going crazy, but glad to see others have stated the same. Horrible thick black sludge at the end of the cup. Thought I was going crazy. This WAS my go to brand (I drink lots) wondered why my migraines had flared up again… struggle with other brands as they flare them up. Will be looking for an alternative brand now. I did clear the shelf last night of the discounted old stock as the new one is not enjoyable at all
Is it actually Milicano now?
As a long-time Kenco Rich user I agree with all previous one-star reviews in every respect, and I wonder whether what's happened here is that the new version is actually Milicano (owned by Kenco). I tried that some years ago and rejected it for precisely the reasons given in the reviews (e.g. the sludge). The ingredients list now contains the information that 'ground and roast' coffee now makes up 10% of what's in the jar, which is more or less what's in a tin of Milicano. A cost-saving measure?
Kenco re-blend
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this "New, Reblended" version is terrible. It reminds me of Camp or Chicory coffee substitute of the 40's. As part of their reblending PR they forget to mention "Cheaper beans." or the grit left in the bottom of the cup.
Why on earth have you changed the…
Why on earth have you changed the blend? I like strong coffee but this tastes bitter, powdery and leaves sludge at the bottom of the cup. This used to be the best tasting coffee, but I’m actively looking for a decent alternative.

Kenco rich has been the only coffee I would buy. It is now really bad. The size reduction is also a scam. Di they really think we would not notice?
I've been drinking Kenco rich coffee…
I've been drinking Kenco rich coffee for years but I'm throwing my new jar in the bin and looking for an alternative. It tastes terrible and leaves a nasty stain in the cup. I hadn't actually noticed its now 190g rather than 200g.... I guess its less coffee to throw away!!
Kenko Smooth new recipe leaves sludge in the cup and tastes awful
The new recipe for Kenko Smooth leaves sludge in the cup and now tastes awful.
The reduction in jar size is disappointing enough, but the recent change to the recipe for Kenko Smooth is what has finally made me stop buying it.
The new product contains what Kenko describes as **10% ground coffee**, which leaves a thick layer of coffee particles/sludge at the bottom of the cup. Not only is it unpleasant to drink, but the taste is noticeably worse than the previous recipe.
I’ve been buying Kenko for years, but this feels like another example of a product being changed to reduce costs while the customer gets an inferior product.
**Smaller jars, an inferior recipe and a worse drinking experience. Kenko has now lost my custom.**
If it aint broke don't fix it
Always drank Kenco coffee for years and years, the new recipe is terrible and undrinkable, weak and leaves residue, will be looking for another brand

After being a Kenco Rich customer for more than 20 years, I will now be looking for another brand. I am unsure who signed off on this re brand but they should be fired. The coffee is no longer a nice rich flavour, but a bitter drink that is weaker in taste and leaves a disgusting residue. And to add insult to injury they have gone from a 200g jar to 190g and hoped we wouldn't notice.
The quality of this coffee is so low I won't be buying ever again.
Decades down the drain.
I don't leave reviews on products usually. But this deserved it. I have drank many sub par brands of coffee in my life, then I found Kenco coffee and stuck with it for over a decade.. it was literally the best quality coffee in my opinion, I didn't even mind paying the little premium compared to other brands, because I knew the quality was far superior. But this new recipe.. it is undoubtedly the end. I can't even get though half a cup anymore. I'm genuinely disappointed.
The real shame is some people will never know what greatness tasted like... Due to this horrible iteration of Kenco, now they never will.
Me & my husband have always drank Kenko…
Me & my husband have always drank Kenko rich ( blue jar) it is delicious & our absolute favorite coffee.
Bought the new jar, blue label, red lid.......never enjoyed a cup of coffee since. Bitter taste, black gunge resisdue at bottom of cup. Have binned it and bought the old style jar while i still can, and wow what a differdence.
Why mess with your coffee when it was perfect.
We were considering changing brands if the new coffee takes over.

Have been a Kenco coffee drinker for more than 20 years.
Looking for new coffee as this is now a vile drink with the granules not dissolving and tarry residue at the end of the cup. Yuk.
