Absolutely brilliant service! Got my bike voucher sorted with ease - quick and easy process.
Then Brexit caused several months of delays in manufacturing and shipping of my bike (nothing to do with GCI). I was going back and forth between my HR department, the reseller and the customs broker about how to resolve customs charges and VAT for about a month, then I was eventually told to contact GCI. The woman I spoke to on the phone was so helpful and reassuring - whoever you are, you're an angel. I emailed all the details to GCI and a fella called Rob solved my problem ON THE SAME DAY, in just two emails, and even waived the admin fee so I wouldn't have to pay extra.
If you're considering any cycle to work scheme, choose GCI. 10/10 would recommend

Incredibly quick and efficient process, and only bike to work scheme to not have a limited value, which is fantastic. Now have a new bike at a far more affordable price thanks to GCI :)

Applied to purchase my E-Bike through GCI and got an email response almost immediately and it was all processed and I received my voucher the next day. Brilliant service.

Fantastic company. Speedy & efficient process. Before I found Green Commute I tried a different company called Bike2Work based in Liverpool. They were awful & I ended up cancelling my deal & transferred to Green Commute instead. They charge the bike shop owners less commission & the whole setup is much more professional. I would thoroughly recommend them.

I chose GCI because their scheme has no 'sting in the tail' after 4 years. They processed the application very quickly and I had the collection voucher within 2 days, start to finish. Response to email queries was very quick also. I cannot fault them.

The first time I have used a Cycle to Work Scheme and implemented it in my business. The service from GCI is excellent, thoroughly efficient, and seamless. Follow up to emails is prompt and helpful and the whole process runs smoothly for the employee, employer and the shop.

I’ve seen a lot of 5* reviews and can only guess that these were for bikes already built and ready to buy off the shelf.

If you’re looking to buy a bike that is a high spec and/or needs to be built, steer well clear of this scheme. The individual who claims to be the MD is rude and belittling, thinking that a phone call to me and telling me I should ‘be more patient’ when the bike was ordered in May 2020 and arrived mid December 2020, was appropriate. I have never had the displeasure of speaking to such an arrogant individual in my life.

I still believe I only received the bike when I did because I commenced preliminary legal proceedings against GCI. They have no interest in chasing any order that you make and you will be stuck with no help or interest from them should you end up having to wait for your bike to arrive. The communication you will get will be along the lines of telling you to wait and referring you to their terms and conditions.

I would 100% recommend any other cycle to work scheme over GCI.

I’m editing my reply because I need to clear up the false claims made by GCI in their reply.

1. My original call wasn’t put through to Rob, MD, because of ‘my attitude.’ I have never had any contact with anyone else by email or phone with anyone apart from Rob. The first email I sent enquiring about my order was met with a reasonable response from Rob and their was no issue at this point. The review below has fabricated that he ‘had to pick up the issue because of staff being uncomfortable with my attitude.’
2. The original date I was given was NOT mid September, I was given 12 weeks from 20th May, taking us to 20th August. I was however given this date AFTER I’d paid for the bike.
3. I first raised the issue, on the 17th August of not wanting to continue with the purchase as I’d been advised by the bike shop it was likely to be October that I’d receive my bike but this could not be confirmed.
4. 49 emails from the 3rd September? I received 11 emails from this date, this number has been falsified to suggest they had been constantly updating me and trying to help, which they had not. In fact, I miraculously began to receive more emails when I began legal proceedings against GCI.
5. This is the best one; ‘I was offered a refund but was adamant I wanted the bike?’ I was asking for a refund from mid August until a week before the bike was delivered on the 20th December. I was never offered a refunds, by GCI or the bike supplier. Both continued to liaise with each other about my request to cancel and both Austin Cycles and GCI continuously told me it was tough and that I’d signed the contract for the bike. You cannot lie in your reply to suggest something else happened to make the company look more favourable after how you acted. I have emails from you, Rob, clearly telling me that I signed a contract and I have to essentially ‘deal with it.’
6. Your arrogance is clear from the lies you have told in your reply. I hope people can see that.

This review is solely based around my experience with Rob, the MD at GCI, none of his staff (I didn’t even know he had staff as my first email went straight to him and the reply I received was from home). So, if there are any other staff I’ve allegedly shown attitude towards, I can’t say a bad word about them because I hadn’t even had any contact with them.

I just used GCI to get a new bike. The process was very quick and easy. Not only that, but GCI also have the highest number of partners to get your bike from. Highly recommend them!

Very simple scheme to utilize - great incentives to both employee and employer - Strong customer service - I recommend GCI for anyone looking to upgrade or purchase a new rig

Excellent, friendly and helpful service. Very quick response, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending these people if you are getting a new bike.

Looked at various cycle to work schemes but this seemed to have the best explanations to how things worked.

Applied at 2pm and everything was paid, signed and the voucher sent to the bike company within 2 hours. Couldn’t have been easier.

My company intranet had several inaccuracies in the process to sign-up however the amazing service I received from GCI meant that everything was resolved quickly with great explanations allowing me to place the order for my bike. Truly fantastic service!

Excellent service. I put the request in at 10am which my employer approved immediately, had the papers through by 11, and the certificate by 1pm! Last time I put a request through another provider it took 6 weeks, so I am highly impressed!

Excellent customer service, amazing reliable and speedy customer service. I'd recommend them to anyone looking at cycle schemes - they don't have extra fees like other schemes do and I'm happy to have gone with GCI for the second time.

An excellent company - a few hours is all it took to go from obtaining an instant quote to getting my bike. The bike shop actually told me they like dealing with GCI as the process is smooth, they get paid quickly and they only take 5% from them.
