The 30 minute coaching session with Anita was just what I needed. It has really helped me focus on small the manageable steps I need to take instead of trying to 'change the world in one day'. Anita gave me great advice completely tailored to our school and also some great resources. I will certainly look into signing up for more CPD.

Coaching session

SEND in Post 16 sector tends to be slightly neglected. I work in an FE college and the guidance that Anita provided was structured and to the point. She has identified and focused on the area that I needed most help with. This coaching session has laid out clear steps and possible further action. I highly recommend Anita's coaching sessions.

An essential course for any new SENCo. I wish I could have had this training when I first came in to post last September! I've already planned my first term's CPD, I have ideas for ways to improve working relationships between TAs and teachers, I have a provision framework to teach my senior leadership team about how best to support our pupils but most importantly, I am buzzing with enthusiasm for my newly-found knowledge.

New to SENCO Course: This has been an excellent 3 day online course. I have gained so much detailed knowledge in SEND legislation and how it fits into my role as a SENCO. As a new SENCO I was very nervous about what I am expected to do and how I would manage my role and responsibilities but Anita has put me at ease with easy to understand information. She also provided excellent CPD ideas that I tried and can take back to my school. This has taken a weight off and I will definitely be using. I now also have the confidence to take my ideas and new information to my SLT. Also the resources Anita has shared is amazing and will reduce my start up workload immeasurably. Thank you so much for this Anita, it has really helped me.

Thought provoking, challenges established thinking and absolutely crammed full of practical everyday strategies to improve the experiences of students, staff and parents. Highly, highly recommend.

Thankyou for the free 30 minute coaching session with Anita. I came away with great ideas for staff training and how to implement them. Excellent!

This style of conference was new for me, and I hadn't really been looking forward to the format, but I found it both interesting and interactive.

I learnt about different styles of leadership and how to identify and develop my leadership style.I was surprised to learn that one's leadership style can be adapted depending on the circumstances, and what is needed at the time. I see this as being very helpful as we go forward into a changed education landscape, post Covid19.

I valued the 'core persuasion skills' content from Anita, and will consider how I can implement them as I plan two new workshops to deliver to early years practitioners later this year. I'll certainly be paying more attention to see how these strategies are used in advertising!

A great meeting.
In the session with Jez, I learnt that I don’t always lead in the same way that I like to be led. In this current climate, a commanding leadership style is less effective. Rather, we would need a combination with mainly democratic or coaching. The commanding style would be most useful at the end.

In Anita’s session, I learnt that my personal power of persuasion is by example. There are 6 core persuasion skills and 3 aspects of persuasion to capture an audience which are evident in most adverts. What stood out most is that effective influence leads to a greater commitment.

There was so many nuggets and tools for application in today’s session. I can’t wait to put them into practise.
The first thing I will do is focus on a set of steps to take when moving out of the crisis. I will endeavour to employ the 3 aspects of persuasion when leading meetings. I plan to identify my networks of leverage when needed.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you. I cannot tell you how meaningful and useful my 30 minutes with Anita were. I wish I could have something similar weekly! Today, I have found a new motivation, and, for the first time in a long time, I have felt productive and purposeful. More importantly, I seem to have re-found my passion!

Practical support, helping me think about how to move forward with my role in these difficult times and also enabling me to rethink my research for my NASENCO course. I cannot thank you enough.
