Three things I've taken away from this session:
The importance of being neutral.
How positive the process can be, which keeps everyone on board and prevents staff feeling another process is being done to them.
Lots of resources to take away and use with learners; to help and challenge them.

As a new leader the course has really helped me to understand what is needed in order to conduct a provision review with my fellow leadership team.
The guidance from the course lead was positive and also made me reflect on what current practise.
As a result of the training i have already introduced some positive tasks for the staff that the pupils have witnessed and wanted to be a part of which was evidence that the activity was purposeful to the who school.
The ideas and examples that were shared have really made sense and also offered reassurance that simple can be more.

The Provision Review training has been very supportive. I feel confident to carry out the provision review in school and I am excited to review the information that we gather. Anita has been able to advise on several aspects of our school provision and has provided us with useful tools to move forward as a team.

The training we have had as an SLT, has truly been outstanding. We are a new team and we needed clear guidance to raise standards and expectations. We have got this and more out of the three sessions. Anita shares her knowledge at a perfect pitch and is able to both get a clear picture of our setting whilst supporting our progress. I have just finished the New to SENCo course with Anita and it has been really valuable. So many resources and ideas to try out and it has really improved my understanding of how to be a SENCo and how best to support our pupils. It has also made me think more carefully about the importance of different tasks and whether they are leadership or management tasks.

3 online zoom meetings with Anita to focus on the New to Senco CPD. Allowed lots of small group work and the ability to ask questions all the way through.

Clear delivery of information with plenty of opportunities for discussion. Supportive training that requires you to apply the input to your own setting, using guided discussion to encourage best practice across the whole school.

As a Principal of an 11-16 academy I have been working with Anita alongside my SENDCo. Leadership of SEND is the responsibility of every member staff within an educational establishment and our bespoke programme has refreshed my thinking with regard to provision.
