alles bestens, Discount Airline halt - kein TV, Drinks nur gegen Bezahlung. Essen nur auf kostenpflichtige Vorbestellung (bei Buchung, der übliche Mikrowellen-Fraß).
Sitzplatzreservierung kostenpflichtig, ca. 25€, das ist mir ein Fenstersitzplatz immer wert.
Alles sauber, ordentlich, pünktlich.
Einzigst die Lautsprecherdurchsagen waren kaum verständlich - das Englisch des Piloten war unter aller S**.
Gepäck alles Bestens.

It has been the worst airline ever. My family traveled on Salam Air on June 29th, 2023 and they did not provide any food for my child and my wife. I have pre-paid already for the food. The cabin crew was really careless in this matter.
HORRIBLE AIRLINE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
Subject: Urgent Complaint: Salam Air - Ticket Number: 249320
Dear fellow travelers and concerned individuals,
I am writing to bring your attention to the highly distressing experience my girlfriend, Svetlana, and I, Anwar, had with Salam Air. Our complaint ticket number is 249320.
On [Date], we booked a flight from Phuket to Istanbul with Salam Air, with our final destination being Antalya, Turkey. Unfortunately, our journey was marred by significant disruptions. Firstly, our flight was delayed by four hours, causing inconvenience and disruption to our travel plans. Regrettably, after a two-hour delay, the flight was abruptly canceled, leaving us stranded.
We immediately contacted Salam Air's customer support for assistance. However, the representative, Shahla, provided us with false information and failed to offer a suitable solution. Shahla wrongly informed us that the next available flight was fully booked, leading us to cancel our entire reservation. It was later discovered that this information was incorrect, as seats were indeed available on the following week's flight. This miscommunication resulted in unnecessary financial losses and prolonged our ordeal.
After the cancellation, we were informed that our original flight had been refunded, leaving us with the only option of booking a new flight at a significantly higher cost. Despite our persistent efforts to communicate with Salam Air's customer care, they displayed a concerning lack of responsiveness. It took an excessively long time, approximately one and a half months, for them to respond to our refund request. Upon review, they claimed that the new ticket did not match their original booking final destination, adding further frustration and a lack of resolution to our already unpleasant experience.
We have exhausted all channels of communication with Salam Air, and they have failed to address our concerns or provide an adequate resolution. We feel compelled to share our story on public platforms to highlight Salam Air's unprofessionalism and poor customer service.
We kindly request your support in sharing this complaint on social media, consumer review websites, and travel forums. We have concrete evidence, including screenshots of correspondence, to substantiate our claims. Your assistance in amplifying our message will make a significant difference.

I was a passenger travling from oman and security hold my hand bags for sending through cargo??? All airsalam stuff had to do was to grab my hand bag from security and send it through cargo.I Was at the gate two hours early and airsalam staffs didn’t do it and had to talk to them and he got upset and bullying me and didn’t board meeee on the plain?? They didn’t even retain to get my handbags from security?? Outrages !?!?right now I have got stuck at oman air port?? There is no representative from salamair at the airport?? Be aware they don’t even have an office at airport? I am buying another tickets for 500 dollars and the next available flight is another 25 hours ???I seriously advice you not to fly with this irresponsible and awful airline ?

This company is professional, fast and efficient. Unfortunately I had booking issues with my card for them UK, when making the booking. Their customer service advisor I think Jamal. Was so professional over the phone, he helped me 3 times to get a refund when it was due and still advised were we need to go in Oman to buy a ticket. He was clued up about full process and friendly and calm all the way through. I am definitely going to remember, the customer service I was given.

I Paid for ticket. My bank send money but on Salam air gateway appears, the payment was declined. Need wait few days to get money back.. Connect with Salam Air is prossible only through call, but if you call there, you go through automat and then the call disconnects.. Worst experience ever!!!

Five hour delay without notifcation
AFOL6R flight on 31-12-2022 was delayed 5 hours, I got know about the delay when I reached the airport, the funny thing all screens show the flight was on time with no delay when I contact salamair they inform me about the delay and said we sent an SMS to you, I didn't receive any SMS. one of the bad experience really have, I hope they take the customers complaints in consideration.
Checking in an empty bag
Unprofessional and rude ground staff. I travelled with my wife from Muscat to Trivandrum on 24-11-22. We had two perfectly cabin size bags within limits. The boarding clerk asked me to check in one of the cabin bags citing aircraft overhead racks are full and to pack one bags contents to another. On informing that I would do at the gate if really racks are full. When we approached the boarding gate there she was standing at the gate. Another rude lecture about racks and I could see she was letting through passengers with even bigger bags… My wife finally emptied all the contents into my bag and checked in her empty stroller !! When I entered the aircraft to
my shock I saw most racks above my seats empty and by the time I asked her to allow me the bag inside the cabin, she walked away refusing ... Cabin crew informed they have nothing to do with this incident… few Omani ground staff simply stood there staring not offering a single step to help… Bottom line … pathetic incompetent ground staff employed by SALAM air… I had an harrowing and embarrassing experience in front of co passengers, meted out from untrained, rude and unprofessional ground staff… Will never fly again with this pathetic people … never expected from Omanis who are very polite, professional and friendly ... this indeed was a disgrace and am sure rare.... but with such staff I am sure where this airline is headed.... tried to make a complaint / feedback but the website doesn’t work for complaints…. Never ever fly with this airline! We need to make sure they go bankrupt and never ruin anyones plans again! We had a flight booked with them, all going ahead as normal, arrived at the airport. Turns out they cancelled the flight without notifying us. No compensation, no correspondence, no alternative route, nothing! Save yourself this pain and just pay the extra money to book with a real airline, Salam Air will screw you over. Absolute shambles of a company!
Denied mandatory compensation
We had a cancellation that was never notified, and we went to the airport at the original time. There we realized that our flight was cancelled and we had to wait for 6bhour and if we were lucky we could go in the next one. Finally we were lucky, but the company did offer any help and right now we are trying to get the compensation that it's mandatory in that cases but they are not even answer any email... Probably they think that as we are foreign we are going to forget this, but we lost one day of our holiday. That situation is not from a bad company there are going against the local lows and regulation.

It's not worth it. Flight was cancelled. No one was sure if/when we were rebooked, had to go to the airport to sort it out. Never got any follow up. No compensation. Had to follow up a lot of times to get any response and then once they realised it was for compensation and they just ignored me.

I flew from Bahrain to Colombo via Muscat. My baggage was delayed two days. I also had to go to the airport to collect it myself even though I was staying more than four hours away. The only reason I don't give one star is because at least they didn't lose it. Also worth noting original flight was delayed a couple of hours with quite poor communication about what was going on to passengers.

I bought a multicity ticket on Trip.com, one of those tickets was from Qatar to Dubai through (Omani Salam air) which cost me ~ $260. The day before traveling I got very sick and I called them for assistance to get help in rescheduling my flight. Usually rescheduling a flight won’t hurt the airline at all and I was very flexiable about flying on a different date.
Trip.com representative said the ticket is non-refundable neither changeable unless I provide a doctor report proving that I’m sick, and if I submit the doctor report then I’ll get a refund.
On the same day of the flight, I went to the hospital and got treated and I submitted the doctor report to Trip.com. 24 hours later, they got back time saying that Omani SalamAir is refusing to refund the ticket. Then, I escalated the matter with them and complained about the way they’re handling the case.. 24 hours later they came back to me saying that we can give you a voucher of $30 with the same airline (Omani Salam Air) which I would never book with ever again.
So I paid ~ $260 for that ticket and Omani SalamAir wanted to give me a $30 voucher.. what a shame! Half of their flights are empty and they didn’t want to reschedule my flight for medical reason to force me to buy a new ticket again.. no humanity..
I got contacted by Trip.com respresnetive (Oliver) was very nice and worked with me to get the case settled. Looks like Omani Salam Air is still refusing to refund the ticket but Trip.com offered me a $60 refund regardless of Omani Salam Air being insisted not to refund nor rescheduling the date back then when I called to reschedule.
