I wanted to change my flight to an earlier flight to have a lo ger connection and I could not do via Manage Booking so emailed them and after 4 emails and 6 days I have had no response (was on Socotra so could not call). When I finally got back to Jeddah and could call them I was told I had to pay a large amount to change. Had reservations responded earlier or their website worked I would not have had to pay so much to change. Then the flights from Colombo to Jeddah (2 flights) were so dirty it was disgusting. I have flights on other less wealthy countries and their plans are cleaner. The whole experience has been horrible and the flights were not cheap. Oh and the funny thing was when I spoke to reservations to change he predicted there were no delays. JUST DONT DO IT!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this Unprofessional Airline

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with this airline.

My flight was on 12 March, 2026 from Muscat to Karachi. Since the day I landed, my luggage has been missing. From day one, I have been continuously trying to co-ordinate via email and follow up with the airline, but there has been absolutely no proper response or support.

Despite providing all required documents multiple times, including baggage details, receipts, and identification, the airline has neither delivered my luggage nor processed any baggage claim. It has now been a long time, and I am still waiting without any resolution.

This is completely unacceptable and shows a serious lack of responsibility and professionalism. Losing luggage is one thing, but failing to respond, coordinate, and compensate the passenger even after full documentation is negligence.

I have lost valuable personal items, and the mental stress caused by this situation is beyond words. No customer should have to go through this level of ignorance and poor service.

I strongly advise others to think twice before choosing this airline. Based on my experience, customer support and baggage handling are extremely unreliable.

Unethical hand carry policy

I recently had a very disappointing experience with SalamAir’s ground handling team at Bengaluru Airport. Their behavior was rude, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable for an airline serving international passengers.

My trolley, which was within the 5 kg allowance clearly stated on my ticket, was not allowed onboard. Despite being under the permitted weight, the staff insisted that I must pay extra for hand‑carry, even though the trolley was below 5 kg and well within the industry‑standard 7 kg cabin allowance followed by most airlines worldwide.

This comes across as an unethical business practice, seemingly designed to force passengers into paying additional charges at the airport. Many other travelers faced the same issue, and the staff’s attitude was dismissive, aggressive, and completely lacking in customer service.

Such conduct destroys trust and creates a terrible travel experience.
I strongly advise passengers to avoid SalamAir (ScamAir) until they correct these practices and train their ground staff to treat customers with respect and fairness.

Airlines should support passengers — not exploit them.

I had to cancel the ticket

I had to cancel the ticket, 2-3 days before travel, they didn't give any option for money back and instead made me get voucher which is of no use as I won't be travelling via that route. I asked for money instead of voucher and no one responded,its been many days.

My flight Muscat → Istanbul on…

My flight Muscat → Istanbul on 10-Mar-2026 (PNR: 0ZLD5G) was cancelled by SalamAir. Despite multiple requests for a refund to my Visa card, I have received no response – instead, only a voucher, which I do not accept.

Surprisingly, the same flight was made available for booking the very next day – same flight number, same time, same aircraft. This is not a mistake, this is deception and unacceptable.

I strongly advise all passengers to be cautious. Customer service and transparency at SalamAir are nonexistent.

Worst than worst

Worst than worst. They did not bring luggage. The family is here in Pakistan for about a week and their luggage is in Muscat. One of them is on medication! Salam airline ruined their trip to Pakistan and that too on Eid.

Extremely disappointing experience with…

Extremely disappointing experience with SalamAir. I traveled on PNR: 4QF9M8, from Kozhikode → Muscat → Fujairah on [11-3-26]. When we arrived at Fujairah Airport, my baggage was missing along with many other passengers’ baggage.

The airline failed to deliver the luggage on time, and we had to wait two days to receive it. Communication from the airline staff was almost nonexistent, and no proper assistance was provided.

Due to this delay, I had to travel again to Fujairah Airport to collect my baggage, which caused additional expenses and unnecessary stress. This shows extremely poor baggage management and customer service.

Passengers trust airlines to handle their belongings responsibly, but this experience was very frustrating. I hope SalamAir seriously improves its baggage handling and passenger support to prevent others from facing the same problem.

Hände weg!

Wir haben einen Flug von MCT nach KWI gebucht. Der Flug wurde aufgrund der aktuellen Situation von SalamAir storniert. Wir haben daraufhin eine Rückbuchung beim Kundenservice angefragt und keine Antwort erhalten. Heute wurden wir über eine Umbuchung zwei Wochen nach dem gebuchten Datum informiert. So mussten wir jetzt stornieren. Es wird nur ein Gutschein angeboten, der nur VIER Monate gültig ist. Ein absolutes Unding. Keine Spur von Kundenservice. Nie wieder in einem Urlaub im arabischen Raum mit dieser Airline.

Cancelled flight, no notification, refund refused despite Flexi Fare

I booked a SalamAir flight under Flexi Fare (Bangkok–Muscat–Istanbul). The flight was cancelled by the airline, and I was never notified — I only discovered it myself weeks later while checking my booking.

Instead of a refund, SalamAir unilaterally issued a voucher without my consent. I repeatedly requested a cash refund, pointing out that their own Conditions of Carriage allow refunds for cancelled flights, but customer service kept replying with generic messages.

I used about €13 of the voucher only to buy extra baggage on an unrelated flight. SalamAir now claims that a “partially used voucher is non-refundable,” but this rule is not stated anywhere in their terms or in the voucher email.

I escalated to aviation authorities and management — no help. Result: €286 lost, months of stress, and zero accountability.

Avoid this airline if you value transparency or consumer rights.

Such a disgrace

Worst airline experience ( I have been full time travelling for 10 years ). They canceled my flight then when I rescheduled it they canceled it again and denied me boarding. I filed an official complaint waiting for compensation. Wish I could give them 0 stars

SalamAir-The worst Airline

This is one of the worst airlines I have travelled on. I want people be very careful before booking a ticket with these morons. In short the flight was delayed for no reason, poor boarding process, food was extremely poor paid or unpaid both... They charge you for a hand carry bag in addition to what is included in the package.. My luggage is also missing ..its the 5th day and their customer support never responds... Either this airline should be banned or Oman Civil Aviation Authority should also be held accountable. Last but not the least , my luggage when I landed in Qatar was broken.... This airline should be banned...

Very Poor Experience with Salam Air – Unclear Baggage Rules & Bad Customer Service
I travelled with Salam Air on 7th November from Muscat International Airport to Calicut International Airport. I have flown many times on this route with IndiGo, Air India Express, and Oman Air, and all of those experiences were smooth.

Unfortunately, Salam Air was the worst airline experience I have had.Since I was returning after resigning from my job, my company booked 10 kg extra “priority baggage” for me (paid service). My total allowance was clearly confirmed as 40 kg check-in (2 bags) + 5 kg cabin.

There was no information anywhere — not on the ticket, not on the Salam Air website — about priority baggage size restrictions. To be safe, I even called Salam Air customer care before travelling, and they also did not mention any size limitation. They only confirmed the weight allowance.
At the airport, I was suddenly told that my 10 kg priority baggage was not allowed because my trolley was medium size, and they only accept cabin-size bags. This rule was never communicated anywhere earlier. When I pointed this out, they took no responsibility.
Since I had already paid for the 10 kg priority baggage, I requested them to convert it into normal checked baggage. For that, they demanded an additional 75 OMR, which is completely unreasonable for a mistake caused by their own lack of information.

I was already late for check-in, and the staff kept pressuring me, saying I would miss my flight if I didn’t pay immediately. They were not helpful, not empathetic, and not customer-friendly at all.

As a last option, I decided to send the bag via cargo. My friend agreed to come and collect it within an hour, but Salam Air refused to keep the bag near their help desk even temporarily. They told me to use Seal & Go, which cost me 5.5 OMR, just to store my own bag.

Because of Salam Air’s mistake and poor handling, I ended up spending around 30 OMR extra (Seal & Go, cargo charges, taxi to collect the bag later).
I emailed Salam Air on 16th November explaining everything.

After weeks of follow-ups, they finally replied after two weeks. They refused to reimburse Seal & Go and taxi charges without proper explanation and agreed to refund only 17 OMR for cargo, asking for my bank details on 4th December.
Even after that, there was no response for weeks. Every time I followed up, they replied with the same message: “It is under process.”

No clear timeline, no apology, no concern.
After almost three months, on 4th February, I finally received only the 17 OMR. The rest was never paid.

What disappointed me the most was:
• No clear baggage rules shared in advance
• Staff behavior at the airport was rigid and unsupportive
• Very poor communication and extremely slow refund process
• No apology, no accountability, no care for customers

Salam Air treats customers very poorly, especially when issues happen because of their own lack of transparency. I wasted money, time, and mental peace just following up with them.

I would not recommend Salam Air, especially if you have extra baggage or are travelling during important personal situations. There are much better airlines that respect passengers and handle problems professionally.

They cancelled my flight but didn’t refund

They cancelled my flight and gave me a voucher instead of a refund. I cannot call the customer service from Finland, and I cannot chat with anyone on their website. There is no email addresa on their website, and I can’t even send a feedback form for refund matters.

The worst airways in my entire life…

The worst airways in my entire life specially in checking counter in Qatar airport even the agent I checking counter unprofessional and they’re money monster money for everything in other airways I can take 65 inch TV in salam air I can’t even take 55 inch guys even the fishing rod also they ask me to pay 100 dollars to put in luggage even it’s not exceed the allowance everything worst strictly not recommend

You're on your own here

Me with other passengers of the plane got stranded by this airline in Kuwait airport for 8 hours without any information (flight to Muscat on January 22 2026) , water or food provided by the staff. Only to be locked in an area by local airport Police without a bathroom. The airlines complain form online isn't even functional. It results in an error if you try to send them a message. That shows a lot. They also ignore other emails. By Omani law they should be giving a compensation for delays over six hours but they ignore any form of contact. I would never ever take this airline again or recommend it to anyone. No apologies from anyone for a delay or the situation as well, not even an automated message. The plane they provided was barely functional and I assume that was the reason for the delay..
