Wir sind am 23.03. von München in den Oman geflogen und wollten am 01.04. über Istanbul zurückfliegen. Bei unserem Eintreffen am Flughafen war der Flug gecancelt worden....ohne Angabe von Gründen. Der völlig unmotivierte und gelangweilte Mitarbeiter am Salamair Schalter bot uns einen Flug ZWEI Tage später an, obwohl wir ihm MEHRFACH sagten, dass wir noch am selben Tag in Istanbul sein müssen, weil dort ein Hotel und der Rückflug nach München gebucht waren und wir in zwei Tage wichtige berufliche Termine hätten. Eine Mitarbeiterin von einer anderen Fluggesellschaft war nicht so faul und hat uns geholfen, einen Flug über Dubai nach Istanbul zu buchen! Das ist angemessenes Arbeiten!

Über opodo gebucht, 10 Tage vor Flug, Hin- und Rückflug confirmed.
Am Tag vor Abflug um 22:00 eine email: Wegen technischer Probleme fliegt eine andere Maschiene, wir werden umgebucht. Dann via WhatsApp (!) die Info: Wir werden auf Oman Air am Sonntag umgebucht. Auf FRA am Samstag durften wir nicht umbuchen.
Weil Flug weiterhin in MUC scheduled und auch A321-Neo in Oman angerufen: Flug ist überbucht! Also eine glatte Lüge in der email. Weil nix in der Hand außer einem WhatsApp chat zum Flughafen. Weil es uns das Personal in MUC möglich machte, doch auf "No-Show" Sitzen mitzufliegen, und wegen gutem Safety Record noch 2 * ; trotzdem nicht mehr mit dieser Airline.

We had a pleasant experience with Salam Air. Everything went as expected. Water was provided at no cost but food was not included, even on our 7 hour flight. No worries, it's a discount airline and we got a great deal on the tickets so we can't complain about paying a few euros for a snack.

I was mistreated and discriminated by one of the senior cabin crew of Salam air during my flight. Here I am trying to convey my dissatisfaction and not able to find a way to do that as there is no proper means to get contact with the customer care

£200 for 20kg Baggage
Salaam Air is the worst airline I have ever used.
I booked my flight through edreams from Abu Dhabi to Oman (Qatar Airways, I purchased 25kg Baggage for this flight) and Oman to Doha (Salaam Airways), the option was not there to add a bag for Salaam Airways at the time of purchase, a few days later or on check inn. I called the call centre and there was no answer. I checked the website and it states: if you buy your ticket through an agency you can not add a bag, you also can not add a bag at check inn. So there is no way to add a bag. They also don't answer the phone. It states you can pay for Baggage at the airport as the ONLY option.

I arrived extra early to the airport and the lady at the check desk said 'I am aware of the being a problem with Salaam air and they just there have been many complaints about it and they have decided not to fix the problem.

I was told to go to the Salaam air main desk and sort out my Baggage issue. They told me to call the call centre. The airport called and she said she couldn't do anything. I was on hold for 1 hour.

The only solution all staff members repeated was to pay for the Baggage per KG (5 OMR or 10GBP per kg).

I had to pay even though the fault was with Salaam air. I will never fly with them again. I will not reccomend Salaam air.

I want to specifically complain about the gentleman at the Salaam air desk office. He was absolutely pathetic. He provided no help whatsoever, laughed to his colleagues about me and spoke about me in Arabic- which he thought I did not understand! He also did say that this has always been an issue with Salaam air and they need to fix it in Arabic and later in English.

Ruined my experience of OMAN. ANYONE WORKING FOR SALAAM AIR NEEDS TO GET OUT

Das es eine Billigairline war wussten wir, allerdings wurden dann in Muscat unsere Tickets von FDI nicht anerkannt und eine Beförderung nach Salalah abgelehnt. Wir mussten auf eigene Kosten mit einer anderen Airline weiter fliegen. Wann man denkt, dass gibt es doch gar nicht, dann diese Airline buchen!
Von München nach Muscat hatten wir auch noch zwei Stunden Verspätung.

Took three flights recently. DXB-BKK and back, and DXB-CCJ. All via Muscat. All the six departures and arrivals were on time, if not a couple of minutes earlier than scheduled. I had checked the past two weeks history online for these flights before booking and before the travel dates, and all of them were regular or only had minor delays. Transit thru MCT was super easy. Food pre-ordered was promptly delivered to me. Crew were polite and helpful. Didn't face any issue with the luggage either despite having a short transit time.

They cancelled my flight which is in a few weeks and nobody answer at emails or calls!

They over sold my flight and told me at the gate there was no seat. 7 of us were denied boarding. I missed my connecting flight home. I had to go via Munich and buy my own connection to London. It took days and cost me a fortune. Plus I got ill because I wasn’t prepared for the cold.

Avec cette compagnie, ce fut mon pire voyage vers l’Asie.
Oman vers Bangkok 6 heures en A321 neo , des sièges type métro parisien, ce fut très inconfortable. Les écrans étaient hors service
Toutes les consommation et boissons sont payantes.
On en a certes pour son argent, mais au prix du voyage, je m’attendais à moins pire

Everything went great, crew was helpful and very kind! I would definitely fly again with salam air! Recommended!

I took flight from muscat to munich on 23rd december and everything was good! i cannot confirm all the bad reviews

Sind 7 Stunden geflogen, die Sitze waren sehr unbequem und nicht zum etwas zurücklehnen, bei Langstreckenflug, man bekam nichts zu essen und wenn man was kaufen wollte dann ging der Apparat nicht, nach 5 Stunden Flug bin ich zur Crou gegangen und wollte mit der Visa Card was zu trinken kaufen, habe nichts bekommen, die Crou war sehr sehr unfreundlich wir werden nicht mehr mit dieser Fluggesellschaft fliegen, haben uns im Urlaub mit anderen Gästen unterhalten die erzählten uns sie haben sehr viel zu Essen und trinken bekommen von anderen Fluggesellschaften

They are scammers. When buying a ticket on the website is shows what is the cancellation / modification fee BUT they don't highlight that if you need to cancel for any reason 1. you need to call the customer service with around 10 min waiting which costs money, no option to do this online 2. you can ONLY get the remaining amount in a voucher, no way to get your money back. BEWARE of these scammers despite all the nice reviews on youtube I would never chose them again

Flug online gebucht, mit Kreditkarte bezahlt. Nächsten Tag wurde Buchung gecancelt, weil angeblich nicht bezahlt. Neue Buchung getätigt, natürlich teurer, als am Tag davor. Aber welche Überraschung der gecancelte war natürlich auch abgebucht. Zwei Emails geschrieben keine Antwort. Nachdem ich mir jetzt die Mühe gemacht habe, leider zu spät, Bewertungen abzufragen, konnte ich feststellen das diese Methode systematisch statt findet. In Europa würde man dazu Betrug sagen.

I recently booked a flight for my elderly father from Dammam to Muscat on 08/12/23 with Salam Airlines. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my concerns.

My father, being an elderly passenger, requested wheelchair assistance at the airport. Shockingly, the airline's officers refused this basic assistance, demanding a medical report despite his recent travel from Abha to Dammam with a different airline, which did provide the necessary support.

This discriminatory action resulted in my father missing his flight, causing immense inconvenience and distress. I want to express my disappointment and frustration with the airline's handling of the situation.

I had booked with Oman Airlines for a different leg of the journey, and I must commend them for their exceptional service. They promptly provided the required assistance, emphasizing the stark contrast in customer care.

Regrettably, I cannot recommend booking with Salam Airlines based on this experience. Such treatment of elderly passengers is unacceptable, and I sincerely hope the airline addresses and rectifies these issues

I am satisfied with Salam air Airlines as the flights are quite affordable and convenient. I will certainly choose this airline again.

First and last you need to know: they dont have any customer support. They have only phone number you should call in case of something happened.
As for me, I dont have extra money to spend it for waiting in the line, with international roaming prices like 1$ minute.

They dont have Email, or contact form at their website. If your flight will be changed or cancelled you have nothing to do with it, but buy a new very expensive ticket because there is no more choice.

MUC-MCT-MUC: über 6 Std in einem eng bestuhlten Airbus 321 eines LCC ist schon herausfordernd für den Körper (Thrombose Risiko). Allerdings war das Flugzeug neuwertig. Die Englischkenntnisse der erstaunlicherweise überwiegend männlichen Kabinen-Crew sind sehr optimierungsfähig, das angebotene Essen ok, wer's sehr orientalisch würzig mag, ist hier richtig.
Ansonsten: Abflug pünktlich (Seltenheit für MUC), Ankunft in MCT 15 Min vor der Zeit. Supermoderner Flughafen, Koffer in Rekordzeit - 15 Min!
Empfehlenswert, wenn man/frau körperlich fit ist und langes enges Sitzen mag.

Its a great Experience as they have improved alot connecting flight to many new destinations & very supportive to offer attractive fares & more baggage option to their passenger.
