Drivers lie that they were at your premises
Absolute terrible service. The only reason The Courier Guy is still operating, is due to the fact that online companies like to use them...otherwise, it would have went under water long ago. The main problem I have with them, is their staff. Their drivers have the tendency to lie and say they were at your premises and there was no one at home. This occurs on a regular basis with people all over the country. They don't even make an effort to call, as if one must stand at your gate the whole day. Their office staff make you feel as if you are a burden when you ask questions relating to you expected delivery. I would NEVER want to interact with this Company, but as I have mentioned; online companies like to use them to deliver online purchases.
Driver is so unprofessional
Driver is so unprofessional. He said he doesn’t have airtime to call me directly. He called using whatsap and returned yesterday because my wifi was slow. Today he also called with WhatsApp. I had to wait for him to do whatever he was doing at the hospital. Very poor service. I don’t know whether it’s specifically Capetown drivers.
Worst service ever
The bad experience I have with this company is cost not only to me mentally but also financially. I ordered an order that was supposed to be delivered yesterday but I never got my order even although on their website it says "delivery attempt failed". There had not been any communication from the company or the driver responsible for the delivery to say they are at my location I should come fetch my order. Bad service I would really have liked if I didn't even give a sing star.

My experience with the courier guy is bad beyond repair I was first scammed 900r from their stupid company yesterday I ordered them again to collect the parcel but their driver refuse to take it for whatever reason I paid 700r Wich I never got back their email service assistance is very bad I'm really disappointed this is a crook people company find other alternatives cause this company is a big failure just like their owners

I am beyond disappointed with The Courier Guy and how they handled an incident caused by one of their drivers, Chenston, driving an Isuzu bakkie
Chenston drove into my parked vehicle, causing visible damage — and the incident was caught on video.
Despite several promises to cover the costs of repairs, Courier Guy and the driver have since gone completely silent, ignoring all further communication and failing to take accountability.
Chenston was on duty and acting under instruction from Courier Guy — meaning the company is directly responsible for the damage. Yet their complete lack of accountability and professionalism is appalling.
If you value your time, property, or peace of mind — think twice before using The Courier Guy. I will keep the public updated on legal progress.

This past Saturday I visited the The Courier Guy Crown Mines Depot, we had an exceptional service from Andani & his team. I must say we arrived late when they were about to close & we had issues with our account but man they were patient enough to help us sort our courier. I want to really say thank you Andani for going out of your way in helping us successfully process our parcels. Appreciated.
The Courier Guy - BEWARE - 300 % more on large deliveries compared to other couriers
I recently used The Courier Guy to transport 10 parcels from Pinetown KZN to my factory in JHB. They were very light by size but large parcels. I was charged R7437-50 for this. The same sizing and cost for the 10 parcels quote from KARGO was R2189-32. Both were for normal Economy Delivery. What and absolute RIP OFF! When I tried to contact them, I was told I had to make use of their online email service which was absolutely useless and their staff need to go for elocution training. I am shocked that in this day and age people can charge 300 % more than their opposition.

Always 5 star with these people, had some delays at times, but understand the volume of parcels these people deal with on a daily basis. Always have received all my goods via these guys, without a slip. Just one or two day delay at times, but understand that, just a few years ago, a 2x day delivery from Gauteng to KZN for this cheap didn't happen.

The drivers and Sandton Ops team failed to follow my collection instructions and completely ignored them. I sent numerous emails to explain why the instructions needed to be followed, but they ignored me; as a result, my parcel could not be collected.
Hidden costs for Natis pickup
I was asked to pay an additional R500 two hours after already paying R170 for an agreed upon courier service.
Their excuse was 'new policy' for that pickup location. SURELY that is discussed before the first payment?
When asking for a refund considering it's almost triple the price which is expensive. I now need to jump through hoops to get my money back. I must provide a Letter for reasoning, banks statements, ID, etc.
So quick to take my money but they make me work for it to get it back because THEY have issues with frauds.
I spoke to support who seemed understanding and apologetic about the new policy and having to charge me more but gave the option of paying the surcharge or they can't help...
If i didn't know any better the 'new policy for that location' is to try make more money considering it is a vehicle licensing establishment. Where important documents are issued that people need to legally abide by the law so they will just 'cough it up'. Penny snatchers I tell you.

They damaged my parcel. Plus 3 perfumes were stolen from the package. When you now tell them about the damages and the packages they ask you all kinds of questions so as to remove themselves from taking responsibility. It's obvious that someone mishandled my parcel and tampered with it... I am so disappointed. Very bad service from the agents.

Their service offering is vast, the delivery timing is excellent, I could not recommend them enough. Very rarely have I experienced any issues.

Good Service all the time
I've always had a good experience with the Courier Guy, specifically Cape Town. I cannot speak for other regions as all operate differently when it comes to customer service. Cape Town are the best, I've been dealing with them for years and to be honest, had no issues with them. If they unable to collect or deliver on the day, communication will be sent out as unforeseen events does occur and we are all human, but cannot rate based on your mood for the day as some people will rate according to how they feel on that day and need someone take their frustrations out on.

Judge for yourself (I have emails to prove all the above if needed)
I signed up my first delivery as an express parcel. The actual charge was double what the 'quick' quote was, then a further 'small sum' of money went from my prepaid account. No explanation was given even when I wrote to them. My parcel sat with them (my 'express paid for parcel') four days before it was delivered to its destination - a cpt to cpt local destination. I tried contacting them (this was the worst part of my business dealings) and went from pillar to post. They'd say that they will escalate things, then the escalated contact made me repeat info, and they'd say they're escalating it, and the new person needed a repeat or it lead to a dead end. Over 20 emails later, nobody EVER got back to me about anything, i thought that they had lost my parcel when it came to four days of an express parcel. After things resolved and my parcel miraculously found its way to where it was needed, I got bombarded with more circular emails, also those who (had not) helped me before by escalating to other escalators. Worse business dealings I have EVER had and I used to sell oon Amazon and Ebay. Never again.
