I can't sit around all day on my weekend waiting for THREE different deliveries from THE SAME courier company - you can cancel the rest of today's deliveries put all parcels on the SAME van and deliver on MONDAY."
On op of that they haven't responded to the email I sent for the last 1.5 hours - USELESS!
Courier Guy Hijacked -Parcel Stolen. NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL!
Courier Guy sent me a notification saying my parcel was being delivered on the 10th December - nothing came. Today I received a notification saying my order is cancelled. I tried to find out online and it just kept saying my order is cancelled. Got on the phone and was told that i no longer had a parcel because their driver had been hijacked. This was a Xmas Gift for my Granddaughter who arrives this Sunday from the U.K. and they hardly acknowledged it and i got a vague apology. I asked what was being done about it and was given an email address for the account holder, who I ordered it from. I got online and the company in question, who made the effort to send my parcel off quickly, had no knowledge of the parcel being stolen and have been very honourable and agreed to replace the gift, which will now arrive later than I expected to present this gift.
Well done The Courier Guy
I've worked with many courier companies in the last 25 years. To date, I'd have to rate The Courier Guy as the best local shipper. Have never had a problem, and they have gone out of their way to accommodate my needs.
Ignoring Customers
On every single channel you can try to contact these people on, you are ignored flat. They refuse to answer any queries after hours of trying to reach them. Courier Guy should just close its doors at this point.
Be careful when using courier guy…
I want to share my recent experience with Courier Guy to help others make informed decisions. I had a genuine leather bag (valued at R1700) sent to me from George, but it was never delivered. After extensive back-and-forth with the company, I was told that the courier had placed the parcel “in a pot” at my home. This does not seem possible, as the box was over half a meter in length and about 36 cm in width, far too large to fit into the small pot they claimed to have used.
During the situation, the delivery person came to my house in tears. I explained that the matter needed to be handled directly with the company, not personally with me. However, she parked in a way that blocked my garage for around 25 minutes, despite knowing we needed to leave for a school function. This added unnecessary stress to an already frustrating experience.
Even after providing all these details, Courier Guy still sided with the delivery person, leaving me without my parcel and without any reimbursement for the loss.
I am not accusing anyone of bad intentions, but based on my experience, I would advise others to be cautious when using Courier Guy—especially when sending or receiving valuable items. Provide very clear delivery instructions and request strong proof of delivery beyond verbal claims.
I hope sharing my experience helps others avoid similar issues.
No good Courier guy
People are un educated cant read addresses or speak properly on the phone. A manager is never available and always drop the phone in your ear. Drivers dont know the areas where they deliver and parcels never get dillver without fghiting for it. That is Polokwane branch. After 4 hours the manager only reatch out to tel me they cant deliver as they have charged me not enough money and want extra money to deliver. Stil did not delivered my parcel had to drive and collect it so why do we as customers have to pay them for a delivery that never hapens.
Unresolved Missing Items – Unreasonable Requests & No Accountability
I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from The Courier Guy / PUDO.
I sent a parcel through a PUDO locker containing four items, but my client only received one. I reported the issue immediately and expected a proper investigation. Instead, I was told that their cameras showed “no tampering” and was then asked to provide footage of myself packing the parcel an unreasonable and unrealistic request. No normal customer is expected to film themselves packing orders.
The fact that one item was delivered clearly shows the parcel was not empty when I dropped it off, meaning the loss occurred while the parcel was in their custody. Yet instead of checking their own systems locker footage, access logs, weight scans, and depot handling records the responsibility is being pushed back onto me.
As a business owner, my livelihood depends on reliable deliveries. The current handling of this matter has been unacceptable, and I still have no resolution, no clarity, and no accountability from their side.
I am requesting a proper investigation and will escalate further if necessary.
Bad service and poor service
Bad service, they are very slow and telling lies about when they will come to collect the order, they keep on saying Collection failed due to no parcel collection while I didn’t even receive any call or message

If I could give The Courier Guy zero stars, I absolutely would — that’s exactly what this company deserves. Their service is nothing short of a nightmare. Deliveries are always late, delivery dates get changed constantly without any explanation, and the way they handle packages is completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, their customer support is practically non-existent. Calling them is an exercise in futility — you’ll either be ignored, passed around, or given empty promises that never materialize. There’s no accountability, no urgency, and certainly no professionalism.
The Courier Guy is, without a doubt, the worst courier company I have ever dealt with. Save yourself the frustration and use literally any other service. This company has turned incompetence into an art form.
This business shouldnt be in business
This business shouldnt be in business. Its only purpose is deliver and they refuse to be helpful and deliver. I will never ever support this business again. They delayed delivery and lied about attempts to deliver and when the app says it is out for delivery, it is not out for delivery. Customer service is infuriating. A manager named Shane was horrendous.
They don't understand post codes
The last 6 times Courier Guy tried to deliver to me they took the parcel to the wrong address, on the other side of Cape Town. They had the correct post code every time but chose to ignore it. They've also lied to my about where they are. Avoid.

I am so disappointed with Courier Guy Durban services. I requested a parcel to be shifted OVERNIGHT from JHB to DBN. The Midrand team did a good job, they were on time, collecting, transporting and getting the parcel to DBN. A lady from DBN called to confirm my address the following day at 10 am... I did and then no delivery was made.
What does OVERNIGHT option mean if they can't deliver the next day, and why are we charged more if it's not delivered overnight????
Disappointed in the service, the lack of professionalism from their drivers
I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I’ve received from this company.
For two consecutive days, your drivers have contacted me asking for my location, despite the fact that I clearly provided it when placing my order. This not only shows a lack of communication and efficiency within your operations, but also caused unnecessary delays and inconvenience on my end. As a paying customer, I expect a smoother and more professional delivery process — one where information is properly recorded and shared so that customers aren’t repeatedly asked for details they’ve already submitted.

The first incident they actually delivered my laptop at the wrong adresss never called never confirmed , luckily the people were honest people and I got it back . The second time they went to the wrong again never confirmed by call , they just went with my parcel again . I had to wait again .
Sub par fix for their mistakes.
Great courier 90% of the time, but when it goes wrong they make the client feel that we made the mistake, they do not go out of their way to fix it and they pat themselves on the back when they fixed their mistakes thinking they are amazing. I've been a client for more than 10 years thinking it would mean something but they do not care.

Biggest Thieves Ever - Use Someone Else - Zero Support - Totally Incompetent - ALL OF THEM
The list of complaints is so long with The Courier Guy I will have to cut it down to the most recent frustrations. The worst part is that their staff are:
1. Totally abrupt, totally untrained in customer relations, and totally incompetent. All of them.
2. None of them know what they are doing, and none of them take responsibility for anything.
I ordered what they call stationery boxes. One was short, and I've sent more than 20 emails explaining the issue and even offering solutions. None of them acknowledge it or come up with ANY solutions. I can barely get a reply, and when they do respond, it's nothing useful.
Before the order even arrived, it was totally late. No apology, no explanation, nothing. The box quality is total crap as well.
It's so frustrating working with these clowns. For anyone reading this, do yourself a favour—because this is one of hundreds of complaints, lots more serious as well—save yourself the frustration and pain and use someone else.

My business has been with this shocking courier company for over 20 years- since it was sold last year, they go out of their way to provide terrible service- they DO NOT listen to their customers and don't care about retaining clients- They over charge by incorrect parcel measurements and have zero idea about customer care and retention- what a shame!!
