Opening the 1 year fixed account was easy . The online "signing the account application form" was a bit unusual . First time in 24 years of online banking have I done that and not too sure what the point is . I mean , it's purely symbolic as it wasn't my signature .
Monthly interest arrived at my linked account though , as others have pointed out , it didn't state who the payee was .
Not at all displeased so far .

OMG real customer service.
Having had two "run-ins" with banks offering similar fixed bonds with comparable rates, dealing with Streambank renewed my faith in customer service.
A login issue, my error, quickly resolved by customer service by phone and another online query was answered within minutes...so no apologies for 5*s.

The good, the bad and the delay in paying out on maturity
My 1 year fixed saver has just matured and I have the following comments to make regarding my experience.
Opening the account and paying in was straight forward. The interest rate was good but benefits were wiped out by the delay in payout on maturity.
As reviewed elsewhere, there is a complete lack of information in the online account regarding monthly interest payments. No statements, no nothing, even at maturity. If you want to know how much interest has been paid, you will have to comb through your linked account into which the interest is paid. These payments arrive out of the blue a few days before the end of each monthly, but the bank statement gives little clue that the payment is associated with your StreamBank account.
What really annoyed me was that my savings matured on a Friday, but nothing appeared into my linked account until the following Monday, costing me c£25 in lost re-investment interest. This essentially erased any benefit from the slightly higher original interest. I have asked for an explanation, but non is forthcoming.
On balance I will not be using StreamBank again, there are many others that are able to operate faster transfers on maturity.
No interest payment records can be…
No interest payment records can be found on an accpunt holder's account records. This is a serious non-compliance matter. The lack of transparency is inexplicable.
Also, interest payments made to the nominated extrrnal account give no inidaction whete they have come from -no mention that from Stream Bank - this is a serious HMRC offence

Disappointing trying to open A/C
Disappointing on trying to open a deposit account where it asked for my sort code it wanted it THREE times and then wouldn’t accept it❗️ the only way I could find of getting assistance is to email them which doesn't get an instant response. This also puts me off opening account because if I need help I’ve got to wait to get a reply to an email.

I’m trying to open a one year fixed rate savings account since Monday !
I’ve emailed which reckons I will get a reply in 24 hours and we are now going into 48 hours !!!!!!
How hard is it to just reply to me .
Hope streambank see this message and can help me out.
Starting to question if it’s the right savings Account for me , if there customer service is anything to go by!!!!!

I found out about stream bank via money saving expert and thought it would be a good place to store some
of my savings.
Unfortunately it took over a week to even be registered and issues with logging in from the immediate.
It took over 40 minutes to get to through to customer services over the phone as I couldn’t reset my password without my account number which at no point was given to me.
I had my credentials reset and followed the process again, same result I cannot log in.
I’m not waiting another 40 minutes to reset my information.
Worrying online portal technical issues does not encourage me to store my hard earned money here, if they can’t even set up an effective log in system how can they protect your money? In the case of an emergency you’ll be in the queue for at least 30 minutes.
They also called me back and were quite abrasive once I informed them I wanted my account cancelled.
Terrible.
Cannot recommend.

Have very recently opened a StreamBank 1 year fix. As I’d never heard of them, I was slightly concerned. So I tried all 3 c/s numbers on their website and none of them
even connected.
Obviously I’m worried putting my cash into a bank I cannot talk to!
