These people recently listed a "like new" Associated Equipment 6002B battery charger on their auction website. Lot # 1084J. I pity the poor soul who bought it for $320.00 plus fees. Knowing the condition of items I bought in the past, I first checked out the condition of this charger before trying to win it. Upon inspection I saw that it had SEVERE damage due to a drop but yet these "honest folks" listed it as like new. Gives you an idea of how the principals are in this business. BUYER BEWARE

The last few bids that we received have been crap, weight bench missing screws, cart missing casters and a pop up tent broken and missing the most important parts. I know that the open box can have some issues, but these boxes were taped shut. I will not buy open box again and will very hesitant to use them again

All items were listed as new-opened box or new like-like new. Almost every item was severely used and/or badly damaged. On top of the false advertising showing you (in some case over exaggerated) brand new price and advertising a huge savings percentage on new/like new items.....

I think Mac.bid is the best thing since sliced bread. I took me a couple of bids to understand the process. However, it’s been great finding the items I needed to complete some remodeling work on my mom’s house. I’ve saves hundreds of dollars with the purchases I’ve made. Although there are fees attached for each transaction, they seem pretty fair. The customer service department was extremely helpful and I appreciate the care and consideration that was extended to me to protect me and make sure my transactions were handled appropriately. I especially appreciate Justus, who went above and beyond to protect me and verify my account.
I would highly recommend Mac.bid for anyone who is bargain-hunting and willing to be patient. Some auctions take a few days to close. I believe they are worth the wait. I wish we had Mac.bid in my area. I hope they consider coming to Southern California.

Mac bid sucks. 8 out of 10 items I had to throw in the garbage, even thought description of like new

Bought a bathroom faucet that was in a "new" box. Described as "new" but the pictures were vague. Got it home and every part was at least 10+ years old and nothing like the box picture. Also the faucet was covered in soap scum and toothpaste spit. Called and all I got was an "Oh well, you lose, we do sell used items." Never again will I deal with them.

I buy a few things I see at pretty inexpensive prices. Today I purchased a wet dry vac. Craftsman. Retail 169.99.
I won it for 30. Plus lot fees. Looked brand new in photos. So I got home plugged it in and it doesn’t turn on. I came back to MAC bid today to see if I could return even tho I did not purchase the insurance (7$). He was nice but quoted the open box policy . When I mentioned that the retail price was misrepresented As it was only a 5 gal that does not retail for 169. He said when I click the link it’s my responsibility to ck the pic and description of product and look for that size and price. However the 169$ price was for a 16 gal if that is the case. When u scan it into the system why would u put 169$ retail? like I am saving 80% when it actually retails for 59$.

I have bought many items from Mac Bids but have now stopped. First of all way too many items missing parts and/or broken pieces. If you don’t purchase their overpriced “insurance “ then you’re stuck. Also the staff are generally helpful unless you have an issue, then it’s all over. I had two instances of being charged for items I didn’t bid on. I was told I had to call customer service which I believe is in Pennsylvania. I call 8-10 times and no answer. I was forced to leave a message which was NEVER returned! So, broken items and non existent customer service means I will not do business with them.

Went to get my order at the Beaver Valley location and was told by the people waiting to get in that I would have to check in and there was a 90 minutes wait before your name was called to get your item(s). I know that not only I left empty handed because of this but 2 others left at the same time. Never saw anything on this on the website or any other location in the Pittsburgh area. There were a lot of people waiting and I bet they were not happy either and I could not afford to spend that long to wait. Keep the items and enjoy my money.

I was the “winning” bid on two king Continental Down pillows. My winning bid was $61. When they added in the taxes and fees, the total was $79.28. When I opened the package, to my surprise I had an old Sealy and a stained Nestwell pillow.

There’s no way they could have inspected the pillows an not seen they were used and not Continental Down,

They’ve taken me before, but this was the worst.

Macbid doesnt take good pictures...which is how they get you to bid. You are taking a big chance item has everything in box and works. They charge alot for insurance so that you can return it in 5 days. Website sucks, it is slow to refresh and you cant even tell if your bid won. Dont depend on watchlist. Bid on one thing at a time. You can get lucky if you do due diligence but you have to put a lot of time into it. Also, you are buying used and returned items and the price ends up being close to retail brand new. Store hours are not favorable for people that work. It just seems they make it hard to get a good item, especially from the lack of good pictures. They only take 2 pics. one of the box and then one with box open. You really cant tell if everything is there.

Where to start I was bidding on a party tent. The auction ended and I had a higher final bid than what was shown. So I won right, wrong right before my eyes with 0time left it went 150 then 160 but I still had a higher bid the 175 right over my bid with no ability for me to bid. it said unction close 000 time and it went right over my high price which was there for more than a half hour. What a scam. This is not the first time.

Everything I bought was either broken missing parts or filthy pots and pans seemed like they used them right before I picked them up STAY AWAY FROM THE DAVENPORT IOWA location

Horrible service. The item I won wasn't even there, so it was a wasted trip. I went to go back a couple of days later and it disappeared from my pick up screen. It was no where to be found and they had no answers, so they offered a refund. Due to being a missing item, it required a manager approval. Still no refund and I've been back in there 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Scammers.

Where do I start? 1. Poor descriptions & photos. 2. Missing parts. 3. Damaged items. 4. Dirty items. 5. Lack of customer service. 6. Fees and insurance are outrageous, lot fee and buyer's premium, all auction houses have just a buyer's premium!

I would give them a less than one-star if possible.

I purchased an item for 35. $, macbidd said, I want it, and I have a photo of it saying I wanted for $35. They charged me $354.40. I've called him 3 or 4 times and finally had this beat it with my credit card company. They really are not a trustworthy company.

Outrageous fees, missing parts, and suspicious bidding behavior

I’ve used Mac Bids a few times now and honestly, it’s been nothing but a headache. First off, the fees are absolutely outrageous — between the buyer’s premium and hidden charges, you end up paying way more than the final bid. It’s borderline deceptive.

Even worse, most of the items I’ve received are missing critical pieces or accessories, and there’s no mention of it in the listings. You’d expect some transparency, but it feels like they deliberately leave out important details.

On top of that, the bidding system seems completely rigged. It’s pretty obvious there are bots or shady accounts driving up the prices at the last second. You never know if you’re actually bidding against a real person or just being manipulated to spend more.

Save yourself the money and frustration — this site just isn’t worth it.

Mac.Bid charges way to much! You need to be aware, there is a $3 fee for each item you bid on and a 15% fee. So when you think your getting a deal getting it for a $1 NOPE! $4.15! They DO NOT let you return items unless you pay $7 buyers assurance. So I checked, didn't know I bid on something, won it. Then bid on it again on accident. I called to ask for it to be canceled. They said Sorry your stuck, or i can pay $7 for buyers assurance (which is as much as I bid for the item), so my only option is to give it away or resell it myself. So if you get broken or scratched or missing parts you are screwed!

most of the items that I purchased at mcbid are broken or damaged that I cannot use, they ended up in the trash, spend a lot of money trying but I keep getting Items that are not usable. employees doesn't take pictures of the items that are damage so they know that the items are unusable but they list it anyway.
