Awful Experience
After months of correspondence with Jet2.com the outcome is that whilst they are very sorry there is nothing they are prepared to do. They have even implied that we could have stayed at the rental property after the burglary as their agent said the property was made secure and was tidied and accused us of lying. Given their agent never visited the property not sure how he would know this. Basically if you have an incident with Jet2.com whilst on holiday you will be liable for any extra costs as they have zero interest in you as a customer.

Flights were ok, though I thought the overall cost of the holiday was not good value for money. The outbound flight also did leave late with no explanation.
No Jet2 rep at Palma airport knew where we had to pick up our shuttle bus to get our car hire.
The paper work for the car hire was wrong and the excess should have been €1500 rather than €900, though the car hire firm accepted the €900 limit.
There was nobody to welcome us to the villa and the welcome pack had to be down loaded from a QR code which we never found and therefore could not operate the alarm system which seemed to be faulty as it was going off when we were in the villa.
On the 9th July our villa was burgled and a number of items were stolen. It took over an hour for the owner to turn up to say there was nothing they could do with the damage and to secure the point of entry. Local Villa Rep recommended staying in the property and they would not even try and find another property for us to stay at. We therefore decided to cut short our holiday and return home the following day.
During the robbery, our son's insulin was stolen. The Jet2 staff were very understanding but the medical information they sent us was for doctors in Palma whereas we were in the north of the island. We eventually managed to find a local medical centre and pharmacy who could help.
Finally given the situation, I was surprised that Jet2 charged me to return home early given the flight had a number of spare seats and would have been seen as a good will gesture.
Overall not impressed by the quality of the villa and given the owners response I would advise not having this property for rental. Also some of their staff at Palma need to be given information on all the car hire firms you use so they can better direct customers to the right pick up points.
At this stage we as a family will never visit Spain again and also would find it hard to recommend Jet2 Villas give the issues with the rental property and car hire.
Typical British business with typical appalling customer service
First time booking through Jet2Villas via our travel agent. We were on our honeymoon and had chosen the Playa Blanca Beach Mate villa complex (actually operated and managed by Solmar Villas by the way) in Lanzarote in March 2023.
Due to an unexpected bereavement we had to make a short-notice change to the dates are were clobbered with a £300 administration fee. We thought that the figure was excessive for a minor date change. However, we had no choice but to pay up.
Car hire was arranged with Jet2 Villas and they changed the car hire company at least three times (four I believe, possibly even five times) without explanation, including one of those changes to a manual gearbox when we had already paid extra for an automatic. So much for Jet2 staff double-checking the details. Luckily we spotted the error and challenged it but were then charged a surplus for Jet2’s mistake. Unbelievable.
For the flight and villa itself, firstly Jet2 failed to meet us at the airport and we had to track them down (outside the airport), where they gave us a welcome pack with completely inadequate directions to both our car hire desk and to the villa complex itself. The car hire company, GoByCar, are actually located on an industrial estate well away from the airport (can’t fault GoByCar because they provided a great car and an excellent service, unlike Jet2). The Jet2 maps and directions to the villa were a complete joke - basically poor-quality fuzzy photocopies - and we spent about two hours driving around the resort at dusk trying to find the property. As it turned out the villa complex had been renamed and was known locally as Camelot Villas, which Jet2 staff failed to mention.
When we finally found the place the entry instructions were incorrect and another holidaymaker helped us gain access to the property.
Inside we were hit with the stench of stale bleach where the cleaners had placed a dirty cleaning bucket inside a closet without bothering to properly empty it beforehand. The foul fumes made our eyes water! We had to air out the villa for a couple of hours before we could even settle for the evening. In general, the villa interior was dusty with layers of fluff under the beds and other furniture. Various facilities were dirty or broken or simply didn’t function as expected (roller-blinds, etc.). On top of the problems we were frequently assailed with the presence of sewer odours. We did contact the villa “manager” but she wasn’t efficient at all, she just sent the “pool man” and he was worse than useless to put it mildly.
When we returned to the UK we contacted Jet2 Customer Service and reported the various problems that we encountered. The Jet2 response was a typical cowboy tactic of blaming the customer. According to Jet2 it was our own fault for not notifying the villa manager. Get serious Jet2! We should never have encountered such problems in the first place, why didn’t you inspect your property? Realistically, who wants to spend their holiday photographing and documenting in details all the faults, let alone when it’s a honeymoon? The fault we did report wasn’t fixed anyway. After much wrangling we were eventually offered a measly minimal refund by Jet2.
Overall we were not at all impressed with Jet2 and their unhelpful attitude. Certainly we would not recommend this company with their apparent low-calibre and uncaring staff.
Advice: anybody travelling with Jet2, make sure you document every concern immediately via email, don’t rely on phone calls because out-of-hours coverage is virtually non-existent as far as we could tell.
Expected more from Jet 2
First time booking through Jet 2 Villas. Only 3 weeks before departure, we received an email advising us of a change to our original booking at 'Olivine Pearl' Villas in Protaras, citing building works and noise nearby. We were offered a villa in 'Katerina Heights', Pernera - but this was further away from Protaras. We asked for alternatives nearer to the resort we originally booked and were eventually offered 'Blue Pearl' (no 3), just a few hundred yards down the road from Olivine Pearl. Although we knew the area would be noisy due to the works, we felt we had little alternative but to accept what was offered at this late stage.
The villa was very tired and grubby, with bare light bulbs in bedrooms and mismatched and broken furniture - nothing at all as advertised. It was in the condition that you would expect towards the end of the season. We were shocked that the villas were only 3 years old. After a very cold first night, we had to ask for additional bedding as beds were made up with one sheet and a very thin, decorative bed cover - completely inadequate for the cold nights. The Jet 2 rep admitted that she had never been inside the villas and didn't know what condition they were in. Halfway through our stay, the electricity and water were cut off at 8.30 one morning, just as we were getting dressed and ready for breakfast. We contacted Jet 2, who advised us to go and use the gym showers at a local hotel - completely unacceptable. Fortunately, the villa manager, Athina from Imagine Villas contacted us to offer use of an alternative villa nearby, which was greatly appreciated.
We wouldn't book accommodation through Jet 2 again, as they clearly don't inspect the villas before they are rented out.
Total disaster from start to finish
Total disaster from start to finish, spent 2 months trying to phone, email, direct message, Facebook, twitter. Never replied. Stanstead a disaster, even with special assistance which failed both ways. I'm still ill 3 days after returning,
Flight was not jet 2 but something called titan air. Plane and service terrible
2 hour wait for hire car. Villa up a dangerous mountain track conveniently not mentioned in description.
Villa basic shabby dirty and equipment broken. Owner made us double lock 4 4 doors zand gate as the area was dangerous!!!!!!? Why on earth was this not mention.
Will never use jet 2 or stanstead again. Suggest you avoid like the plaque.
