Abandoned by Jet2 in Majorca

Holiday nightmare material when we turned up at the villa and it was already occupied.!!

Ring Jet2 24hr helpline, and although very polite they were hopeless in trying to help us.
I was put on hold 4 times over the space of 3 hours , while Jet2 "investigated" ....

You might imagine that their first priority would be getting us some urgent accommodation for that night ..but we heard nothing from them for hours, into mid evening.
We found ourselves a hotel and it cost me over £300 quid for one night and drove to find it.
8pm local time and Jet2 eventually rang me back - with a stunning plan - to put us in a hotel overnight while they tried to find another villa.
One was sourced the following day by being in direct contact with a boss at Solmar Villas - but disappointingly Jet2 were pretty hopeless .

If you read this Jet2, your number one priority should've been to find us overnight accommodation without delay.
You need to establish and reinforce this with your in-resort support teams . The welfare of your customers needs to come above all else and you really need to get that right.

We'd been travelling since 0300 and we reported the problem at 1600 ...and you left us with no support or alternative accommodation until 20. 00 .
Telling us "it was being investigated" is no help at all when you're sat in a rental car, its getting dark and you have nowhere to stay that night.
Please take some learning from this .
BTW its 8 working days and you still haven't refunded my hotel.

Great ground & flight crew!

Overall, we are very happy with the service received by Jet 2 Villas. The booking process was easy, we had a vast selection of villas to choose from and the offer of ‘free’ hire car rather than transfer appealed greatly to us. We were met with enthusiasm and a lot of assistance at Bristol Airport, clear instructions and swift book in, we found this very helpful. The flight was good, on time with friendly crew. We had lots of legroom and plenty of choice from menu, duty free etc. upon arrival we saw lots of jet2 staff looking for those with transfers booked but we had to follow instructions to hire car pick up. The holid took a slight downturn here as we were waiting for at least 30 minutes and it wasn’t obvious if we were in the right area. We arrived at Goldcar hire and the holiday literally nose dived right there and then. We along with at least 3 other couples were told that whilst we had paid for the additional top ‘fully comprehensive’ cover during booking this wasn’t recognised as it was not part of Goldcar! We could hear the frustration and concern throughout the reception, same words being received by all and absolutely nothing you could do other than agree to take out Goldcar’s policy or pay the full cost for claims and then claim back via jet2 when back in UK! We told them absolutely not whilst at least two couples (older couple) were too afraid to risk it. Once we had were assigned our car we had to walk two blocks in the heat with all our luggage to begin the arduous task of inspecting the vehicle. Do NOT take this step lightly!! We walked slowly around the exterior and took a video of the whole car. We then photographed every scratch, dent and rust spot. Several scratches and dents were not on their checklist but even after they insisted that the damage was not “deep” or “long” enough to warrant noting we insisted they did and took even more photos. We were told that the scuffs & scrapes on wheel rims didn’t count, they do, photograph everything!!! When we returned they car they told us that we woukd have to pay for the scrapes on wheel trims as “ much worse than when we received the car”, thankfully we showed the photos, the guy still sucking in his breath shaking his head so I told him I had video and then he backed down. Please ensure you capture everything!!! The villas was pretty much as we expected but much more tired than we had hoped. Great location, magnificent views & lovely pool! The villa really needs updating as and a really thorough cleaning. The kitchen bathroom surfaces etc were very clean but the sofas, walls exterior of pool need a good scrub, there were chocolate handprints on doorframes and green mould on the pool decking surround. The decking (not real wood) was so warped that it should be removed as not only a trip hazard, there were exposed screws & some areas felt as if your foot would go right through. The double bedroom was poorly furnished, a small double bed, unstoppable open sliding door that was so water stained you could barely see out of it, leaking air con but ensuite was nice with great shower! The oven was very old and shelves could not be moved as rusted out. The fridge was fine as long as you don’t store anything in door, we put water bottles in door on arrival only to have them fall out on opening the door breaking off a plastic shelf in door! No welcome pack, water so ensure you shop. Flight home was pretty much a repeat, good service from ground & flight crew and comfortable flight. Overall, we are pleased with Jet2, they need to update wording in car hire procedures to ensure others aren’t met with same issue, just be more transparent and not brush off as in country issues outside of your control!

2 cars booked for us by Jet2 at OK…

2 cars booked for us by Jet2 at OK Mobility in Mahon. Paperwork said we had to pay a €1200 Deposit. After getting the hard sell on their insurance they tried to charge me €1950 per car. This was beyond the credit limit of my travel credit card. Multiple calls made to Jet2 being pushed from one dept to the other. We ended up with the cars cancelled and getting taxis after wasting 3 hours. Still waiting for a response from Jet2. Oh and to compound it the cleaners ran over by an hour. They don't deserve 1 star

Great experience & the easiest villa option!

Great experience - Any villa is clearly advertised so completely up to you to see it fully and make an informed decision.

Total price of flights, baggage, car and villa definitely makes it one of the best, cheapest and easiest villa options to book!

Ill keep coming back and highly recommend it.

Unsupportive

I haven't even travelled yet and am beginning to regret booking with Jet2
We have 12 hours between check out and our flight and despite Jet2 claiming they are supportive of people with disabilities we have been refused a lated check out - they claim it takes 6 hours to clean a villa
I've even offered to pay
I'll be looking elsewhere next time. Very poor

JET2 Villas and Villa March Martorell, Majorca, really not worth it!

Flight and Airport issues:
We took an evening flight to Majorca with JET2 because the midday flight was over £300 extra. The flights were ok, but seats not comfortable, particularly as arm rests for the aisle seats can not be raised.
On arrival, we were made to queue for over an hour with small children to go through immigration at Majorca airport. Some of our party without children went through the facial recognition barriers but found they were difficult to use because the cameras were positioned too high and the queues were long as everyone was having the same problem and was left to struggle with it.
Car Hire issues:
The local staff were doing their best to communicate in English, which we are grateful for but just be prepared for some confusion and it takes a long time to clarify difficult and important matters. For example, we were not clear how to report damage to the vehicle we were hiring before we drove away, that had not already been reported. There were no staff near the pick up points to help.
Also, JET2 did not explain in advance that as much as 300EUROS was needed to be held in reserve on our credit card for the car hire and that for the full protection insurance we would need to pay for any damage to the car rental company upfront (in this case we used Hertz) and claim the cost back later through the JET2 agent. Also, Hertz could not confirm about their policy on excesses with coverage bought through a third party agent. A very troublesome process. We felt it would have been more straightforward to hire a car directly with Hertz rather than go through JET2.
Villa issues:
Because of issues with immigration and car rental, we didn’t arrive at our villa until 3am into the second day of our holiday.
There was no welcome pack with basic groceries on arrival as other villa companies have provided. We were too exhausted to go shopping early after the terrible travel experience, and my four year old daughter had no milk, it was a really uncomfortable situation.
The villa and pool are a nice construct but inside the villa is absolutely filthy. The appliances are cheap, old and barely work, the dishwasher is practically rusted through, the refrigerator also doesn’t work; fresh food doesn’t keep for more than a day. All appliances need an upgrade. Likewise, the sanitary wear is badly worn and the toilets absolutely stink. We had to clean before we felt comfortable using the place, particularly the kitchen, which doesn’t make a relaxing start to the holiday. There is no air conditioning in the kitchen, which meant having no option but to open windows and there were no nets so mosquitos came flooding in. There is also an infestation of ants which made storing food impossible.
Also, only one of the two air conditioning units in the dining/ sitting room space is working.
Finally, using the whirlpool tripped the electricity supply every time and we had to reset this ourselves which was really annoying. Considering the amount of money we paid it is not acceptable.
Other concerns we have are that inside the villa there are pieces of old farming equipment on display including an old plough with lots of large spikes positioned over the kitchen door. This is very dangerous and should be removed.
Also, there is CCTV we think surveilling outside the villa. For UK customers to feel comfortable there should be a notice at the villa that states CCTV is in operation and in the customer notes there should be an explanation of what this CCTV is surveilling and by who. We felt it was a massive intrusion of privacy.
Overall, this holiday was really not worth the £5,000 plus we were charged for a week, even during August peak time and we are all very disappointed. The flights offered at no additional cost are not at comfortable times for young families to travel and the quality of the accommodation is not assured.
Before this I couldn’t find any detailed, honest review, particularly on the standard of the villa, which makes me think now it can be so bad it is better to forget about it. But it is important to post this review, so people think twice before paying so much money.
Advise/ areas for improvement:
Flight and Majorca airport:
JET2 shouldn’t make the midday flight such an expensive extra. We would have had a much more comfortable journey going to Marjorca if we could have taken around the same time flight in the afternoon as we did coming back to the UK at no extra cost. This return flight was half empty we suspect because it was expensive to take, it just doesn’t make good business sense.
We suggest more signage, at least just with pictures, at Majorca airport to guide you through security procedures. Particularly, at the facial recognition barriers, to show you need to remove your glasses and headwear, would have been useful.

I would just like to say a big thank to the jet2 girls at Menorca …

I would just like to say a big thank you to all the jet2 girls at Menorca airport who made sure myself/Daughter an Grandson got on our flight back to stanstead as we were late getting to the airport thankfully the gates didn't close on time however we were feeling very stressed but the jet2 staff girls had us on the flight intimate for home so if you were one of them girls on the 17th August 5pm flight a very big thank you 😊 🙏

Casa Amor, Algarve, Portugal

Had an amazing stay at Casa Amor, lovely big villa with plenty of space, really decent sized pool that is kept clean by the staff and a tennis court. Villa has everything you need to enjoy a week in the sun. We met a member of staff later in the week, he was lovely and very helpful. Very happy, will definitely be back.

Villa Amelia- Calpe Extortionate price…

Villa Amelia- Calpe Extortionate price for a very average villa. We had a major issue as we were burgled, the burglars had a key. Please be very vigilant and check that the locks have been changed, it was devastating to be burgled the day before we left. I am wating to hear back from Jet 2 having raised these concerns.

Do not book a villa through Jet2

Do not book a villa through Jet2. They charge on a "per person" basis and not for the property. I learned this the hard way. If I'd booked Villa Siesta on Zakynthos directly with Villa Select then I'd have saved about £3k. I've booked a villa directly with Villa Select for next year and saved £4k on the same villa with Jet2. Absolute shysters.

Incidentally, don't book Villa Siesta with anyone. The photos are very misleading and it is to be avoided.

Currently staying at Villa Julaga in…

Currently staying at Villa Julaga in Corraleja Fuerteventura for 7 nights.
First of all the villa itself is great, clean, modern and plenty of room.
Now the pool! We’ve been here since Saturday 28th June & writing this on Wednesday 2nd July and all of this time we’ve been here we’ve been unable to use the pool due to it being so dirty!
Jet2’s 24/7 helpline is a total waste of time and couldn’t be less helpful if they tried. We’ve called & emailed them numerous times each day and are still waiting for someone to come to the villa as promised. They even called on Tuesday at 8pm to say someone had been but wasn’t able to get in as we weren’t there, which wasn’t true as we were there and had been all day!
Be aware Jet2 Villas don’t have their own resort reps, so you have no one to contact locally and have to go through this waste of time UK helpline.
The villa is through Solmar Villas of whom we’ve contacted but unfortunately they’re even worse!
In short due to this whole experience and appalling customer service we would not book another holiday/villa through Jet2 or Solmar

ZMare mini villas Turunc

Villa was better than expected.
During our stay in June 2025, we had the pleasure of residing in one of the mini villas at ZMare Villas Hotel in Turunc Turkey. The villa was truly a haven, featuring a private pool and offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lush greenery. Additionally, we had exclusive access to a private beach and restaurant, enhancing our overall experience. The villa was extremely comfortable, offering all the usual amenities, including a washing machine and a cooker hob.
ZMare Villas are conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Turunc town, which boasts a variety of shops and restaurants. For a small fee, you can take a water taxi to Marmaris or Icmeler. Turunc is a much quieter place compared to Marmaris, making it perfect for a peaceful getaway.
The best part of our stay was the staff and owner, Zeydan, who were all very welcoming and helpful especially Sebahat, Overall, it was a very peaceful, relaxing experience in a beautiful location.

We wish to complain about the wholly unsuitable hire car provided for our villa holiday. You would expect a remote villa to be off the beaten track, and we did review the villa information carefully, so were aware of the surroundings. We have been on many similar villa holidays with similar locations. However nothing prepared us for difficulty in navigating the treacherous track in. The hire car provided is totally unsuitable as only an off road type vehicle would suffice. Therefore we are frightened to leave the villa and be marooned and cannot enjoy exploring the island. We have travelled using jet2 on many occasions and this standard is not acceptable. Our much needed relaxing holiday is basically ruined. We cannot believe your company would put us at such a risk.
We await your comments.

Just booked, not departing for 8 weeks. They have already screwed up the car insurance. I had to be insistent on the WhatsApp chat that it was wrong. One insured the other not. The car provider is OK Mobility, oh dear....Wish us luck.

Very disappoint in the service of jet2.

Very disappoint in the service of jet2.
They offer a package, flights, transfers and a villa.
Flights were ok, very noisy and staff grumpy, stuck on runway as we missed our slot and pilot never gave any updates, so late arriving.
Villa was great.
TRANSFERS, DONT BOTHER. I opted for transfers, it was car hire, the cars were too small for 10 people, never mind luggage. turned out the cars were at separate destinations and although told to go to the same bus stop for both it only went to one destination.
NO STAFF TO HELP AT AIRPORT.
As we were late arriving and didn’t get to second car hire place in time as they shut at 10pm (we were unaware of this), we were stuck at the airport.
We rang 24 helpline to be told there was nothing they could do we would need to sort ourselves out.
We went to the 2nd car in the morning to be told we would have to pay again for the car.
I wasted my week contacting 24 helpline as they did nothing to help.
We ended up paying for taxis both ways to the airport and couldn’t get around on our holiday.
THE WHOLE HOLIDAY WAS RUINED.
DONT BOOK VILLA HOLIDAYS VIA JET2. It is not a holiday service

Booked villa El Fadri in Calpe for 2…

Booked villa El Fadri in Calpe for 2 weeks, 6 adults, 4 children and a toddler with car hire x 3. Car pick up was a nightmare, took over 2 hours of waiting to get served. Was then asked for more money to upgrade the insurance, which I refused, very rude member of staff told me I wouldn't be covered if we had an accident but continued to give me the keys to the car !!
Arrived at the villa, which was at the bottom of a very steep narrow lane, cars had to be parked behind each other, taking up space getting to other villers. Entering the villa we could see it wasn't very clean. We had a space for 2 cars on the villa grounds behind large locked gates, however no key fob could be found to open the gates. I called Jet2 who got the Solmar Rep to call me, long story short after having me look everywhere for the fob it wasn't found. So everytime we needed to use the cars they had to be reversed up the steep hill, as there was nowhere to turn around.
First night in the villa the floors had to be swept as there was so much dust and debris on the floors, we could not let the toddler go onto the floor in fear she would pick something up. We moved the sofa and found food underneath, the kitchen bin was rancid, food had been put in without a bin bag and was stuck rotting on the bottom of the bin. There was an air fryer again with left over food in it. No tea towels or dish cloths, nothing at all left in the villa, we have had villas in Florida and there was always dishwasher tablets etc left by previous occupants. The pool was really nice, however the surrounding area was strewn with plastic cups,a newspaper, dirty rags that looked like they had been used to clean the BBQ, which was filthy. The decking from the villa to the pool was filthy, the childrens feet were black after walking over it. The kitchen window was cracked from one side to the other. Double glazed windows overlooking the pool had blown so view of the pool was restricted.
Now to the bedrooms.... our bed had a duvet cover turned inside out as a bottom sheet, it wasn't big enough to tuck in so each time we moved the cover came off which was not hygienic as none of the beds had mattress covers. To be honest the bedding looked like it had come out of a rag bag, nothing was ironed. The floor had to be swept, hair, plastic tags and dust, none of it ours. One double bed had a fitted bottom sheet that had been put on top of another fitted sheet that had sand on it. We had one bath towel for each person which were changed on a weekly basis, not very good but hey ho we had a washing machine...when I went to look at the washer it was full of wet towels and sheets from the previous occupants and the machine looked like it had never been cleaned, the door rubber was thick with hair and leaves. Again I contacted the Solmar Rep, he came out the next day and told the cleaner to come and change the bedding and clean up outside and the BBQ. Well now I understood why the place was unkempt, she had not got a clue, came to clean in a white tennis dress, yes every bit a cleaner.
When will this end I hear you thinking. After she left we had not water, called the Rep again, by this time we are on first name terms, he asked for my husband to go to the cleaner cupboard outside to see if the cleaner had taken the plug out of the hot water heater, she sure had and plugged the Hoover in instead of the hot water,so no hot water for that night. Day 3 night we had a flood from the sink in the kitchen, had to mop up with our bath towels...who did we call...the Rep he sent the plumber out the next day, who advised us that the septic tank was full and needed to be emptied. So on a boiling hot afternoon we had the pleasure of watching and smelling someone else's mess being extracted...wonderful. I have missed out about the all singing all dancing jacuzzi bath that didnt work and had the plug stuck in and the beautiful roof terrace that was advertised and we couldn't use as it was chained off. Contacted Jet2 when we got back nearly a year ago now, they dont come back within 28 days took them till January this year to over £400 compensation, on a holiday that cost near to £17,000. I refused and took my complaint to ABTA in February this year another waste of time they have just come back to me this week telling me that Jet2 will not make me a other offer. I am thinking of going to small claims because Jet2 should not be able to get away with treating people like this.

Villa Vica,Cala d'Or. Poor villa did not meet expectations.

Poor villa.
Moud in upstairs rooms. Fewsty damp smell.
Astroturf around one side of pool. The rest of grounds poorly maintained - we had to sweep some areas on arrival.
Poolside shower blocked.
BBQ area unclean.
Variable amounts of hot water in showers no hot water at all on last day. Upstairs shower would cut out then return on full power with scalding water.
Some beds uncomfortable ( too many toppers used).
Towels in poor condition.
Advised Jet 2 who offered no comment other than...book with us again and give us another Chance!!!
You shouldn't need two chances when things were so poor.

Stayed at villa no 30 imagine Vila’s via jet 2 aka esprit no 30

Villa a bit tired. Mismatched glasses and not enough of them. We bought some from then market. This is not meant to be a rant far from it as we are having a lovely time just some things to be mindful of if you are or have booked,

Instructions to villa. Just terrible. Yes we know there are signposts to the villa. However, there is no lighting on the roads, the signs are for imagine villas, solmar villas no mention of. Esprit villas or jet2. It’s midnight and we are stumbling around in the dark with mobile torches for two hours, jet 2 customer services trying to be helpful but hampered as unfamiliar with the area. No we don’t have acccess a taxi, we can’t go back into town as latchi is closed,

Eventually found the villa, if you have any type of mobility problem, do not book this villa, steep steps up to lower level. Further steep steps up to villa level. Steps are uneven rock formation, ahoy when carrying heavy luggage. I honestly would not have booked had I known this.

Villa interior. A bit tired and needs a freshen up. Kitchen very small, three wine glasses for 6 persons, no beer glasses, knives blunt. Kitchen well equipped otherwise. Microwave. Ah. You have to move the microwave physically over to a PowerPoint as there is not one located on that particular wall. The oven fell out of the housing on first use as a screw came loose and fell out.

Bedrooms. Main bedroom air con unit sounds like a plane taking off. Suspect fan elderly,

Note you can only have air con on for set period.

Note pool has thtee stepped ladder and no easy way to get in or out if you have limited mobility,

One parasol which cannot be moved anywhere apart from current location,

That said. Jet 2 have been very responsive with the oven and the property management team fanoula have been excellent.

The views are stunning down to latchi but you do need a car.

The villa has the potential to be lovely but a bit of t l c would really make a huge difference and attention to detail is really lacking so we are a bit disappointed.

Finally it was public holiday here for the last week so a lot of the villas on the complex were booked by crowds of singletons and the noise of rock and rap from various villas was awful from noon till midnight.

Apart from that having a lovely time but I will check reviews more closely in future before booking again.

Villa pomelo Latchi Cyprus

Firstly I’d like to start with saying it’s the first complaint I’ve had with jet2 villas. We stayed in villa pomelo in latchi in Cyprus. We arrived in the early hours of the morning after a day of travelling, the first thing that hit us when we opened the door was the stench of foist, mould smell. After some investigation it was evident that there had been a leak under the kitchen sink and all the lower cupboards in the kitchen absolutely stank. Obviously we were unable to leave the windows open at that time of day,The villa was clean despite the smell, all the bedding looked new and very clean. There was nothing to welcome us there and luckily we brought coffee, tea, milk and coffee mate etc for a drink. The villa looked very sparse and like it had just been decorated and nothing had been put back afterwards, there ceiling lights had no light shades, just a bare bulb, there was curtain rails but no curtains and there was no information booklet explaining how anything worked. There was everything we needed but just the absolute bare minimum.
There was a large crack on the patio door and the safety pin wouldn’t fit into the hole to secure the door safely when out. We spoke to jet2 and they sent the cleaner to try and eliminate the smell but I explained it’s engrained into the wood of the cupboard and can’t be cleaned away as we bought air fresheners and zoflora and it still smelt horrible. The smell just hit you every time we walked into the villa. The villa manager came and really played down the smell and she interrupted me constantly and I had to ask her to please listen without interruption. The bedroom drawers and wardrobe also smelled awful and as a result I didn’t empty my case, I just lived out of my case the entire holiday. It was very disappointing and like I said it’s the first time we’ve had to complain. Luckily we loved the garden and spent most time outside but it was very disappointing to spend so much money on a 2 week holiday and not be completely happy.

Disappointed to find out a week before…

Disappointed to find out a week before our holiday car hire wasn’t included in our Villa holiday and they wouldn’t do anything about it. The Villa in Lanzarote was nice but needed some repairs and felt a bit unloved. We won’t be booking with jet2 again
