Disappointed
The Resort was very nice and the Villa was fabulous with two good sized bedrooms, a well stocked kitchen, large living space and garden including swimming pool. The Villa reflected the outlay we paid. However, we were very disappointed by the amount of renovation/building work being done on both Villas either side of ours. We were not made aware of this prior to arrival. This ultimately spoiled our holiday to the extent that we left the site during the day for most of the week. The noise level from the disc cutter and shouting between the workmen whilst demolishing and installing a new pool was unacceptable - thank goodness for the hire car and we were able to visit other resorts. The garden, pool and terraces were not usable during our stay. When we handed in the keys and explained our uncomfortable stay we were told that the workmen were not scheduled to be on site during our stay. What a shame because the Villa was lovely. I feel we weren’t given all the information at time of booking because the renovations were quite extensive.
Not even traveled yet ! and…
Concerned about our travel already and not even been yet but just been told we need to cough up €600 for our free /in included car hire phoned up today and really not convinced about this lot just by reading the reviews and not a single reply from this lot not even the lobby mouth paddy ohhhhhhhh dear
Perfect location
We stayed at villa mitto in albuferia was such a lovely villa very clean perfect location close to the strip and no noise at night only thing I could say was it could do with a table and chairs with umbrella near the pool area , it does have one at the rear near the bbq area
Won't be using Jet2 villas again
First (and only) good point: the villa itself is very nice, clean, well appointed and cool.
The remaining points:
The flight out was delayed by just under three hours.
We missed our car hire as a result.
The Jet2 reps at Faro did their best but could achieve nothing.
We had to take a taxi to the villa for 90 Euros
We returned later to pick up the hire car but were informed by Centauro (the car hire cowboys, see separate review) that we couldn't have the car as it was more then 12 hours from the time of the original booking.
We had to hire a car at a cost of nearly 1000 euros as the villa is some distance from Albufeira.
As it turns out, the villa is actually rented from Solmar Villas, who seem to be doing a good job, unlike Jet2 and Centauro.
Obviously we will be claiming back these additional costs from Jet2.
Added on 17th June: Jet2 refuse to pay the taxi fare to the villa and the extra cost incurred in hiring a replacement car. Looks like a small claims procedure may be required.
Villa Siren Heraklion Crete- BEWARE…
Villa Siren Heraklion Crete- BEWARE this villa is attached to a studio apartment and attached to another villa at the back of the property so you don't see this in the website pictures. The pool is for private use but the guests staying in the attached villa have to walk past the pool area to leave their villa. NOT private. Found old clothes and false eyelashes in the bedroom, presumably from the previous guests! Mould in the upstairs bathroom shower. Not a high standard of cleanliness. RIP OFF car hire with OK Mobility (booked via Jet 2 package) was told Jet 2 insurance which I paid when holiday booked is not adequate! Had to pay an additional 330.00 euros. Have made a complaint. Would not recommend Jet 2 villas-first time I booked with them and will be the last.
Good holiday but really bad car hire
The villa and holiday was good but issues with the car hire took the shine off the holiday. We took extra insurance out Jet2, the voucher had this on only to be told that we needed to either pay the car hire people (OK Mobility) €315 for more insurance or pre-authorise €1350 deposit via a credit card which we weren’t expecting (this was also a very hard sell approach). As my partner hasn’t got a credit card and the car was in her name so they wouldn’t accept mine we could only have the car by paying for their insurance as well.
We paid for the extra insurance via Jet2 for a hassle free holiday, this was anything but that.
Unhappy customer prior to holiday
Have not been on our villa holiday yet, just wish I had looked at this site before booking. Received our villa details the other day and noticed we were expected to be out of the villa at 10am day of deparure. Our flight is not until 23.55. We are a group of ladies in our 60s with one member suffering with reduced mobility. What do they expect you to do all day. Received a message from jet 2 Mathew to say he understands the problem but the villa will not allow a later check out time. Come on Jet 2 you go on about looking after your customers but are happy for people to walk the streets for a whole day. Surely needing to look at timings when selling villas.
Landed at Lanzarote
Landed at Lanzarote, then headed to Playa Blanca We drove around for 2 half hour looking for are villa, ( villa Vimar ) We had a phone call from someone from jet2 to ask us if we had arrived i said no because we couldn't find the name so he had to help us to find the villa using Google maps, then to learn it now called JOELLE !!!!! and not Villa Vimar.
So we had the wrong name on the paper work and on are voucher. Bad start, and when we did manage to find the villa the pool was green like a snooker table, so they told us not to use it. So we had to a pool man round 3 time a day trying to sort it out while we was trying to sunbath, it's not good enough the pool should of been ready for us and it was not. We booked a villa with a pool but could not use it for 5 days. We didn't use the pool as the pool man was round every day of are holiday putting in chemicals trying to clear the water. It felt like the pool man was on holiday with us. Sorry won't be booking a villa holiday with jet2 very soon. Going by the reviews i would like to say, jet2 please stick to just holidays because your trying to take to much on.

Villa was poor and so was customer service after!
Nice holiday but a few issues in the villa. Lamps were dodgy and we have young kids. Took a video to show them and was told it passed an electrician test. Told them only one of four outdoor lights worked and there was no light near the bbq, didn’t respond. Told them doors were old and not fully secure, didn’t respond at all to that. Safety for a family villa is crucial. They did respond to lack of pots and pans in the kitchen of a villa for eight, was told I should have asked for more! One, I didn’t know I could but also a Villa for eight should be kitted out correctly to live. I was told no compensation and no real apology. So won’t book again with jet2 villas. Poor! Their flights were excellent though so would use them. You have definitely lost customers over this.
update - a week later they got back to me and continued with the line that all was ok and no compensation would be given, plus no real apology. Safety of your children is a priority and they should recognise that. The customer service was awful. So i said i wouldnt book a summer villa with them again.
Regretted using their car hire and parking not as described
We booked car hire through Jet2 - they used OK Mobility. It took 2 and a half hours to get our car due to a combination of incompetence and attempts to convince everyone to buy more cover. Jet2 had stated that parking was available at our villa. However, the area was densely populated with limited parking and we ended up not using the car much because we were driving around for up to 20 minutes looking for a space each time we returned to the villa. Jet2 tried to blame the villa owners which was unfair because their brochure was honest about the parking. Our first day (of a week long holiday) was spoilt because of the problem with the car hire and being unable to park near the villa to unload our luggage. Jet2 apologised and said they would not use OK Mobility in future, but were very slow in responding and would not make a compensatory gesture. ABTA just relayed a further refusal and suggested we pay for arbitration.
Customer Service non-existent
Holiday cancelled. Initially had issues with the car hire offered, as a party of 6 we didnt want 2 cars so asked if we could swap car hire for airport transfers, this was refused with no discussion or alternative offered. 2 weeks after booking we were informed that the Villa we booked was no longer available. We were offered a 'comparible' Villa which was the cheapest Villa on the Jet2 website (we had originally booked a mid-price Villa) and were told this was the same price as our original booking. We informed Jet2 that we had compared the villas on their website and on another website and the price was not the same but they insisted this Villa was the same price and offered us £50 for inconvenience. They then offered a 2nd alternative Villa which was further away from amenities so was unsuitable. We have refused both options so are cancelling our holiday. Jet2 seem to have a monopoly on Villa holidays but we won't be booking with them again
Lefkada May 23
We went to Lefkada during May 23 and after reading the other reviews thought I should add mine.
The process of booking was straightforward, we upgraded our hire car to a small SUV. We took a gamble as the villa is still a building site on Google Maps.
We travelled from Birmingham airport and although it is undergoing some renovation work we went through security without issue. We arrived at Preveza airport and the airport staff upon seeing my wife (waiting on a hip replacement) offered us a wheelchair and fast track to passport control. The car hire service was straightforward and again, when the staff member saw my wife's mobility asked us to wait and they collected the car and brought it round to the front door. We found the villa without any problems and upon opening the door instantly felt at home. We've been lucky enough to travel quite a bit and never felt this before. The next day our holiday rep. Victoria came by (known as Vickipedia for her knowledge of the island) and gave us plenty of places to eat and visit, all of which were spot on. The villa was beautiful, peaceful and very neat and tidy. The only negatives I have was the coffee machine gave up after a few days and the pool isn't heated which meant it was very cold in May. We normally try not to visit the same place twice but on this occasion, we are heading back to the same villa this year in September. We have done multiple villa holidays and city breaks with Jet2 and had a great experience each time. Keep up the good work Jet2.
Urgent Maintenance Required at Buganvilla Vistas @…
We stayed at the Buganvilla Vistas @ Callao Salvaje, Tenerife.
1. Dishwasher is rusty inside. The dishwasher needs replacing. Solmar Villas said it could not replace this.
2. The washing machine needs replacing have to keep pressing the ON button several times before working - looks like it has actually been pulled out of another villa.
3. The toilet is running water into the bowl all the time which is making a screeching noise - en-suite bathroom. The flush button not working. Solmar Villas offered to sort this out 2 DAYS before departure and blamed Jet 2 for not getting a prompt message over to them.
4. Power keeps going off in circuit breaker box when using two or more appliances in the kitchen are used at once. The property is only pulling in 25 AMPs - no wonder there is no air con and the power keeps going off.
5.The airer is rusty and held together with pieces of rope. An airer does not cost more than 20€ to 30€ in Tenerife at the most.
6. The mattresses are cheap - it’s like lying on springs!
7. The electric live boxes - just outside on the wall of the property is open with no padlock on. This is a health and safety issue especially for children.
The plus point to Buganvilla Vistas is that there was a nice pool with plenty of outdoor space.
Clearly, Jet 2 can’t inspect the Villas it sells. Jet 2 quality has plummeted to appalling levels but with high prices.

Do Not Use the Included Car Hire
This is a criticism of the lack of care for the businesses they add onto your holiday and their total ineffectiveness to provide accurate or helpful information. We chose a villa booking with Jet2Villas and car hire was included. Which seemed simple and helpful that it was a full one stop shop. We flew into Fuerteventura at 8pm ish, give or take a few minutes. The instructions to find GobyCar were very vague, cross over into the car hire car park, then left, go the end and a shuttle
Bus will arrive every 5/10 minutes take you to car collection. By 8.30 we had followed these instructions and found ourselves at a full car park with no signage to suggest this was the correct place. In fact GobyCar has no signage whatsoever on the entire car park or instructions as to how you may find their collection point. We walked the entire length of the car park back to where the Jet2 reps were, a good 10 minute walk. She told us that the instructions were useless that Jet2 provided and that we should go back to where we’d been and wait at the Sixt car hire building. I said that seemed incredibly unhelpful if this is a common occurrence and her answer was well it’s a third party company so not their fault. I booked this as a package 1st hand with Jet2, they are responsible for providing accurate information, to blame the care hire company is ridiculous. We went back to this area and (something we had attempted previously) called the care hire company. He assured us that his collection vans were there waiting, they were not. A good half an hour later we saw a mini bus with the company name parked someway down the car park, we all ran, cases and hand luggage to catch it and the driver was incredibly rude. Refused to look at our paperwork and drove off. We eventually convinced the man at the GobyCar office that there were no other buses. He had to close his office, drive to the airport and get us himself. We landed at 8 and the bus collection ends at 9pm! What on earth are they doing using a company off site and having no idea how or where your customers might be collected. Utterly cost cutting nonsense. Thank god it wasn’t later and the place had closed totally otherwise we would have been either without a car to hire or paying again to rent another car. We eventually signed the paperwork at 9.50pm, it had taken almost 1.5 hours. Jet2 sort your paperwork out, understand what businesses you are using and stop letting paying customers down. We have used you for years and as ever the service is getting year on year worse. We will
only ever booked directly with villas and car hire companies after this experience.
Villa Monte Leon 7 in La Manga
Stayed at Villa Monte Leon 7 in La Manga Club. The inside of the villa was beautiful couldn't fault it. The outside of the villa was badly let down by the awful outdoor furniture which had absolutely no resemblance to the photographs on their website. The ratan furniture on the roof top was fit for the skip in tatters. The patio furniture was filthy with dirty black marks on arms which made my skin crawl. Had to clean them myself on arrival. The sunbeds were revolting. Impossible to clean as it was some sort of stretchy material, caked in people's body sweat and sun cream obviously never been cleaned. We never used the roof terrace or pool area because of this. I have been recovering from major surgery so the outdoor space areas were very important to me and it was so disappointing. I really couldn't get over it despite how beautiful the villa was indoors I obviously wanted to spend most of my time outside. It did not meet even the very basics of cleanliness. I have made a complaint.
Villa Hillside Hideaway, Dubrovnik
We booked villa Hillside Hideaway near Dubrovnik, Croatia through Holidays by Design, Brigg, Lincolnshire, through Jet2Villas (also with Solarmar villas).
Firstly I must say the villa itself was outstanding, everything you could wish for, recently renovated to a very high standard. Villa hosts were fantastic. The problem was that it was at the bottom of a very steep, cobbled windy track which we didn’t know about until we arrived late and in the dark after problems with the hire car caused by the incompetence of Holidays by Design, if it hadn’t been for the fact that someone met us at the top and helped/guided us down we would never have found it or got down there as I needed assistance.
My issue is that nowhere in the villa overview did it mention this. Because of issues with the hire car insurance and the excessive excess of 2,300 euros we felt unable to use the hire car once we’d parked it down the track. I have mobility issues and would never have booked this villa had I known, we should have been told. Holidays by Design did say that “other people managed”!
I booked the holiday through Holidays by Design but they are taking no responsibility for this as they say they only have the information Jet2Villas have given them. Cop out or what? Still waiting to see what Jet2Villas have to say but not holding my breath!
Shame as villa is gorgeous, just not suitable for people with mobility issues, quite dangerous trying to walk up and down the steep windy track especially when raining, very slippery.
UPDATE - I was told I should have made my own enquiries before I went - unbelievable!!!!
An Apartment on a Building Site in Cyprus
We were allocated an apartment facing an active building site which started work at 7am. Our view in Aphrodite Hills Paphos Cyprus was of half built villas unlike the flashy pictures on the Jet2Villas website. We had to negotiate a change of location with no help from Jet2Villas losing a complete day of our holiday. We complained to Jet2Villas on line and we were promised a call from the local representative. We are still waiting for that call….
Extremely Noisy
Currently staying at the Villa Rubimar in Playa Blanca. The Villa itself is comfortable with everything you need BUT:
1. We had a very noisy group of 6 lads staying next door who played grime music very loudly all afternoons, came home at 4am shouting and banging into furniture for an hour
2. There is building work going on nearby digging up the road, so loud the Villa is shaking
3. After 5 calls to Jet2 customer service we were told all that could be done was for us to complain to the police. Eventually they offered to move us to a different Villa in a different resort at a cost of £1670. As it was half way through our holiday this was not a viable solution
4. If after reading all this you decide to book, you will need a car as it’s a 15 min walk to nearest supermarket and 30 min walk to the beach.
Think twice before booking with Jet2 Villas
Flights with Jet2 are always my preferred airline to fly with, however this is the second year (thought we would give them another try) of booking with Jet2 Villas. The Villas will be massively oversold to you! Take the pictures with a pinch of salt. We are currently in Polis Cyprus and the Villa whilst nice does not have a private pool in the literal sense. The pool is our ‘own’ pool however it is on a street with a small wall next to it for everyone to walk past and just stare at us. Also private beach to me implied the Villa was ‘on’ the beach, well not our Villa, the estate of villas do get sole use of the beach but our Villa is set back so not ‘on’ the beach front as I feel is implied! The sea view from the top balcony is even obscured by trees (to add insult to injury). The third bedroom is in the basement. We have had to move the mattress to the living room as the basement room is so so loud as you can hear all the ground level noise as well as the pool filter system etc.
We made complaints about our Villa last year as there were some major hazards but Jet2 didn’t really care. So I appreciate we were mad to book again but we hoped it was a one off.
Also be wary of the car they ‘add’ to the package. We did have a lovely car last year, but this year the car is run down (automatic which we were not told), central locking doesn’t work. And as a family of five our bags only just (Tetris styles rearranging) fit into the boot.
All in all flights as always with Jet2 are great but don’t be fooled by the Villa you are being sold! Jet2 need to have a think about being in the Villa business.
