For many Years...
For many years, I have plotted my family tree on Ancestry, and although I amassed considerable people from the past, I was not entirely satisfied with the overall search capabilities, to say nothing about the expense.
In the short time I have been with Find My Past, I have managed to find an immediate relative I knew nothing about. That in itself says it all. Moreover, the cost is more attractive, with the bonus of having the 1921 Census and the regular email hints.
Thank you, Find My Past, for having such a professional website. Forgive me for only giving you a four-star tick, as I believe there is always room for improvement. It does not reflect on the overall status of my appreciation.

To follow what the ancestors come from and what they did in their trade and life , also why the ancestors moved to live in other countries with their reasons .
To find correct people , I know it is not easy to pick correct ones . DNA helps me to follow cousins family whom we knew nothing. My paternal grandmother’s sibling whom we had never met . One of her family had contacted me several years ago through ancestry . I found interesting information.

Quite a waste of time considering you haven’t actually told me anything that I haven’t known all my life but you expect me to subscribe and pay to get a few details out of the several details that I have. I actually have more information than you give me so why would I pay to be told less than I already know????

Find My Past is exactly what I wanted / needed to complete my ancestral research
I have been using various ancestral providers for about the past 12 years and now find very little extra on them. A few months ago I subscribed to Find My Past and have been finding more on just about all of my ancestors although I still do not have a family tree on Find My Past. It does take a bit longer to search for information of ancestors but I have found the information is accurate as it has been saved from actual records - not what individual people have added to a site from what they have found (sometimes incorrectly) about their sometimes mistaken ancestors.
I also have found the correct records - including several newspaper stories and reports which corrected the dates of the happenings and the age of a person who is a pivotal part of my ancestry . All other sites I have checked have that information incorrect about that person because of incorrect research results being added to family trees on those sites and other people accepting that as correct and using that misinformation as gospel.
I have on a couple of occasions telephoned and spoken to various staff members of Find My Past with a few inquiries and have received excellent response and service with my inquiry being completed to my satisfaction.
I am very happy with Find My Past.

If you do ever fancy importing your tree you can do so at any time with a GEDcom file. This would then allow our system to work in the backend to generate hints which may help you find some even more unique records.

Searching on both FindMyPast and…
Searching on both FindMyPast and Ancestry for details re MARY SAUSSE born 1777 in Ireland, died 1821, married John SLATTERY - no places, except Ireland known and date of marriage not known but first child Ellen born 1798, then James (my ancestor) born 1799 at Carrick-on-Suir in Tipperary.
Using both search engines keying in her name, year of birth and IRELAND on FindMyPast a Griffith's Valuation for 1850 came up. If I put her death date, no place to put her husband's name, No Result.
On the other hand - on Ancestry - keying in same information with the addition of her husband's name - up came 49 Family Trees!! and seven entries of women with similar names, but not my Mary.
I have been researching family for many years and often find this very frustrating

It sounds like you have been entering in details into every search box which sometimes can be worse than a broader search. Start off with just a few details and then add more over time to narrow down the results.
This is because things like a husbands name wouldn't be on her death index so it would confuse the system causing a clash.
