I'm embarrassed I didn't read these reviews before, because my experience was the same: Ordered a great-sounding product and never received it. They even charged my card. Multiple emails - I even messaged the founder on LinkedIn. Nothing.

This company looks like it's run by some kid who knows how to code but has probably no business sense. Do not buy from this place.

Please be careful ordering from this company. I ordered a Bytetag on 9/27 and still have not received it. I have reached out to their customer support several times via email, and FB messenger. If I get a response at all, it is a canned response that it takes 3-4 weeks for the Bytetag to be shipped. We are now well passed that. As far as I can tell, from the tracking number, my tag has not even been shipped.

I was really excited about this product, such a great idea, but now it seems a scam to me as they took my money, didn’t deliver and there is no way to get in touch with them!

I have contacted Byte via there contact us page 4 times, and by instagram twice. Not only do I not get a notification and location when the tag is scanned but it also is not registered on my account so I cannot amend any details. And now the tag itself has broke.
Worst customer service I've ever experienced.

The concept is good and I have tested it and it works really well. However, customer service is horrendous! I had an issue with the product when I bought it initially, the ringed hold it onto the collar was just a normal ring versus the thick one that it's showing in the photo that you have to use pliers to open and close. Close. I bought three tags and two of them came with the cheap rings versus the one thick one. I contact them about this multiple times with no response. I went ahead and put the tags on my dogs and one of the QR codes is so scratched up that you can't even read it. So it's worthless now, the second one with the cheap ring keeps coming off no matter how tight I make it, and then my third one it has fallen off and is gone. He's a puppy so he may have eaten it..... I've contacted customer service again and still no response about anything. It says their product is guaranteed and they will do one time replacement no matter when you purchase it. So they're not holding up to their guarantee. So I bought three tags and it's 60 bucks down the drain essentially. Definitely not happy I trusted this.

Recd email with usps tracking number but item didnt ship. After waiting 18 days I emailed the company requesting info. They replied to my email with a copy of the email that they sent to me weeks prior 🙄—never answered question. I filed a disputed charge with my credit card company. Seems to be a scam.

I bought 2 tags in June from ByteTags official website. Both wore down and you cannot even read the QR code after a month. There is no reason for it to wear like like and it said that it wouldn’t. I reached out multiple times and they refused to ever respond. My dogs are not that active…

I bought 2 Bytetags. Really wanted to love these tags but I'm left super disappointed. The concept is great but the tag itself is just useless. The QR code is so small that it takes a long time to maneuver the camera just right so it scans the code. You can't scan the code with the collar on and it's still difficult to do off. Huge waste of money. I do not recommend.

I received my Bytetag and it works perfectly. I allowed my relative to test by scanning the barcode. Works great. Highly recommend it.

Nightmare company to deal with. No turning back after you click and order- no customer service. Personally, I think this is a scam. Most worrisome- call the phone # associated with the credit card charge- it goes NOWHERE.🙄

My dog has lost hers many times I have extra ones and the site will not upload photos ...will not use these again...waste of money...

I ordered 2 tags from their website and never received them. I submitted multiple messages through their contact form and never heard back.

Package "failed to deliver" although people were present to receive package. Have tried to contact customer support multiple times and have not gotten a response and it's now been a month with no product or refund. Do not order, buy from anywhere else.

Zero customer service! Site said order one get one free. They charged me for two. Send email upon email no response. Contacted PayPal all of a sudden they respond and said I didn't enter a code. And it was on fortunate. They do not offer refunds. They have no phone number to speak to a human being. Do not order.

I love the idea of this. I love that I can add local numbers to my dog’s ’found’ page. I love that it texts me immediately if anyone scans the tag. But none of those features are actually worth anything because the tag itself almost immediately fell apart. It’s been less than 60 days and it’s completely useless.

Great in theory but broke after a couple of months. Not nearly as long wearing as is needed - deffo save your money and buy from elsewhere.

I’ve bought 10 tags between two orders, seven silicone and three hard plastic. All arrived in beautiful time with lovely package. I’m beyond satisfied with these and believe everyone should try them. I’ve got these on my dogs, and even horses!

We love how easy it is to setup. We put it on the collar of our two Chihuahuas. One is 6 pounds and the other 4.5. The tag looks gigantic on both but especially on the little one. But they are super light so the dogs don’t mind them at all! And they have chewed all the other hanging tags they’ve had!

As the code itself is fairly small I would think it should be able to make it smaller for cats and small breeds.

The first tag broke off ... was very disappointed until they offered to replace it. I selected the silicone tag as it is a lot sturdier.
Free replacement tag, free shipping = happy customer.

As others have noted, the company seems to have a problem actually shipping their product. I received an email that my order had "shipped" on Jan 24, 2023. As of Feb 1, the tracking information still shows as "waiting for pickup." I reached out to the company via email and was told that the status "should update tomorrow" but nothing has changed. I have told the company to cancel the order and issue a refund or I will initiate a chargeback on the credit card. We'll see what happens.
