The light on my cooker lid. Wanted replacing after it stopped working .i contacted Big Waramtees with the problem and they sent me a E mail. Directing me to a form to fill in on my lap top . I am now going on 92 years old. Filling in forms for a new bulb is a step backwards it puts you off making a claim . Which could be the idea of the form . I could have been sorted on the first phone call by simply asking the questions then as it was when Big Warantees started.

We had a fridge warranties from big warranty. We had paid for 5 years and when it broke it took big warranty over a month to get an engineer out in the end the fridge was right off as per their terms and conditions they should had offered a like for like replacement but instead they offered a quarter the value of the new fridge- very disappointing after 5 years. This insurance skim is noting but scam.

made 2 claims in a year. First they charged over £300 but never completed the repair. I complained twice: no reply. As a cancer suffered i am appalled. Just claimed for a broken hob, irreparable accidental damage. Original cost £279 6 years ago. Replacement now around £370 + £120 fitting. They offered me a paltry £119. Unbelievable. Avoid like the plague!

Having paid monthly for dishwasher cover since 2013.
My claim for repairs was turned down as no service engineer was in the area (Siemens have supplied one) and the dishwasher was too old to repair (checked with Siemens parts department and parts are in stock). I have asked them to pay for the repair. We await the answer.

It was like speaking to a friend, and not like someone reading from a script.
