Ordered some marine ply sheets cut to size, and paid for express delivery.
Several days later, the wood had still not been shipped, and I complained and got a refund of my express shipping fee.

When the wood finally arrived, the ply sheets had strips of double-sided adhesive tape placed across them, with the backing paper still attached.
When I tried to peel the tape off, it left a sticky residue, that was almost impossible to sand away. As a result, I was not able to stain the wood as intended, but had to paint it to conceal the glue.

Wood sheets offered to send me replacements free of charge, but as I was running short of time, as result of the late delivery, and I couldn't be certain the replacements would be any better, I reluctantly accepted a partial refund of £50, which was substantially less than it would have cost them to send replacements, and didn't cover my time and effort spent trying to clean up the sheets.

There are cheaper and better companies on-line, I'd not use this one again.

Horrendous customer service.

Told my order would be with me the end of last week, now they say the end of this week and considering it hasn’t even been dispatched I highly doubt it’ll be with me even by the end of next week. Everytime I call I get told it’s been “escalated” and that is to absolutely no avail. Was told I would be called back today and am not remotely surprised no one has bothered. Wish I had read the reviews before ordering as I am not convinced if they ever turn up they’ll be of good quality.

I will be filing for a chargeback as I am so fed up with this company, the back and forth and the dreadful customer service.

Doing a DIY job at home i needed two pieces of wood the same size. Looking on-line i came across woodsheets.com. I proceeded with my order but to my dismay, I ordered the wrong size. I contacted woodsheets and without hesitation they put my mind at rest and assisted me with this. After a short time the wood pieces arrived, I was over the moon with what I received. Fantastic product excellently cut and finished off. They have a fantastic range of products for all kind of jobs. Throughout the whole experience I would very highly recommend woodsheets to all. A big thank you for all your assistance and making the whole experience a successful one.

I ordered some MDF from Woodsheets for a dollhouse that I was building. I am pleased to say that when my order arrived it was cut to the exact dimensions and was great quality.

Ordering was so simple and the website easy to navigate. I am very pleased with the product and the service received.

This was not my first purchase as I have bought other wood sheets previously. I was so impressed that I returned and will definitely be back.

Great service, fast delivery and a very reasonable price.

My item came not to the spec ordered (missing a contrast colour edging), and the item also was of poor quality, with chips to edge and front, and what look like dirty dried glue marks around the edge and also on the front.

So I asked for refund on the basis that the item wasn't what I ordered, and what came was not of satisfactory quality.

I had to email three times before I got a response (because no-one answers the phone at this company), and that response ignored the refund request and said they'd send a replacement.

I replied to say no replacement was needed, just the refund. I've now had to chase that twice by email to avail, yet.

I also sent a WhatsApp message to the "Chris" that replies to these reviews, and that too has gone unanswered. So no use there either.

I won't order from here again, and would suggest no-one else does either. Just awful all around, a lesson on how not to do customer service I'm afraid.

I hesitate to leave bad reviews, and give the company ample opportunity to fix it, but no resolution has been forthcoming in 19 days so far - so maybe posting something publicly will prompt some action. We live in hope.

I wish I’d read the reviews before placing an order. The order came scuffed with chips all along the cut and came slightly the wrong size. Sent emails and called and it took them weeks to respond. The person on the phone was rude and has no customer service skills.

Poor service. Ordered Monday am for next day delivery, paid nearly as much as the order itself. Rang the next day and was told it wasn’t going to be delivered that day and would be sent today for tomorrow. I ring today (day 3) and nothing has changed; it’s still in quality control and will be despatched today for delivery Thursday. I said cancel it; they said no; they don’t guarantee delivery and have 30 days to do the order according to their website. Just the worse service, offering a delivery they cannot do, lying to me the day before that it was going out and when challenged they said ‘well we have a lot of orders and we can’t keep track of all of them’. Terrible service don’t use them

Consider this 2.5 stars. I should've checked the reviews prior to placing my first order. The first delivery was speedy and they even double-checked via email that I had put the correct measurements, which was good, however I still received all my boards in the wrong measurements (all a few mm short) and the cutting was poor (chipped boards). I ordered three different measurements and (although a bit short) I could still utilise two of the types and contacted them about the 3rd since the measurements were unacceptable. They got replacements done for me and sent them out, delivery took a bit longer but I just received them and the measurements were perfect and the wood boards had no chips at all. Nonetheless, communication along the way was good - I do hope that they can work on these issues and reach their fullest potential!

I’m having a really bad experience,
The delivery arrived with missing pieces, I called them straightaway, I was told the missing order will be sent straightaway so it arrives for me on time, I called again next day to make sure it is coming, and one week has passed, and I have received only an email now saying the product is being processed in the next 3-5 days, while my builder comes tomorrow, don’t order from this company.

I placed my order on 8th July and was told this was in quality control on 21st July. After contacting the company via Whatsapp, I was then told that an urgent dispatch notice was issued on 30th July. I am still yet to receive the goods. It is unacceptable to wait this long for a piece of MDF.

Ordered mdf sheets cut to size. Order took a week to be dispatched (coincidence it just happened to be dispatched on the same day I questioned its whereabouts...?). Delivery then took a further 4 days, the package travelled from England to Scotland twice for reasons unknown. Opened the package, relieved to see order was undamaged, correctly measured and in fairness of good quality but frustrated to see a piece missing. Contacted "Hayley" twice on a previous message thread, nothing, no reply. Started a new message thread/ticket and finally heard from Hayley who advised the missing piece would be sent asap. Have I received it...? No. Do I expect to receive it or a refund...? Again no. I have however received two requests for reviews of their products and service. So my review is as follows....take heed of the reviews of others and order at your own risk.
Update: Missing piece finally received 13/8/25. Review remains at two stars. My issue was rectified in the end but I still would suggest avoiding.

Placed my order over two weeks ago, still not received it or confirmation that its even in production. I have chased several times via email and phone, still no response or help. I would avoid this company at all costs. How little they value the people who use their services is shocking. I feel like I have been mugged as little prospect of getting my money back or receiving the product I have paid for.AVOID AT ALL COSTS !

Really disappointed with the service.
Placed andorder and paid for express delivery to allow my son to finish project he was working on. Website indicated delivery would be 28/29 July.
Raised a ticket on 29 July to chase as hadn’t had a dispatch notice.
Got no response so phoned up on 30 July. On hold for 30 mins. Very polite phone call and express delivery fee refunded. Was told item would be dispatched that day and delivered on 31 July. Heard nothing so rang up on 1 August to be told item was just in finishing and would be dispatched today but wouldn’t be delivered until Monday because the courier doesn’t deliver on a weekend.

This is really poor - both from a delivery and communication perspective.

DO NOT USE! Terrible service. Long lead times. When the item finally arrived it was damaged.

I needed a few pieces of MDF for a DIY project and woodsheets.com delivered exactly what I was after. There was no hidden "small order fee" as it's the case on many of the other cut to size websites I looked at and the order came quickly and well packaged. I'd use them again.

Simple ordering process with simple to follow buying guide.
Prices were comparable to uncut sheeting.

Didn't receive any communication and tracking on the website is broken.

I finally got a reply on Friday via WhatsApp, that my order will be delivered by Tuesday.

I have been sitting at home, not wanting to move just in case the delivery arrives.

It is now 5:30pm and I am pretty certain I won't receive my order at this stage.

Like with most custom material companies, I tend to test companies with smaller (sub £100) orders before submitting larger orders.

I need custom sheets cut for about £2,700 and my God am I glad that once again, a test order was worth it.

Wished I read the reviews. I asked for a refund but also expect that not to happen.

In case you don't read your whatsapp but this review, please refund my order ... Thanks.

Edit: Thanks for the response, but I would have much preferred the delivery to happen when you say it would so I wouldn't waste a day sitting at home.

Also the quality. Sorry but can't use it. As I say, it was a test order for a larger project and 50 quid for this is just not good enough. And before you blame shipping, no, the packaging was undamaged so this is how you considered it good enough to send out.

Shocking company. Please avoid at all costs. Their 1-3 day'Express Delivery' service (which they charge extra for) counts for nothing. Read the small print in the 'Shipping & Delivery' section, and you'll see it's not guaranteed, and believe me, they have no intention of even trying to achieve such. Customer service is also completely inept – no return of emails, often don't pick up the phone and don't return a call when they say they will do. And when you do actually speak to someone about where your order is they have no idea where it is, or when you might actually receive it. As someone has already pointed out, my 8-year-old could be more helpful at the end of the phone! Just avoid and give your money to a company that cares.

Update: For the sake of fairness and a balanced review, Chris O'Reilly from Woodsheets has now been in contact and both apologised for the service I received and offered/ processed compensation as an apology. Chris himself has been very proactive and helpful in resolving this issue.
