Quite a large brisket.
just the right amount of fat, did not need to cut away or waste any so ordered size it what was cooked.
Smoked low & slow, my fault did not quite have enough time to get to the ideal 200f+ so little anxious but was perfect, juicy & tender, so think testament to a quality piece of meat. Did not shrink excessively, in fact impressed how little, had one from elsewhere was a fraction of its original size.
Lamb burgers as an extra, also lovely.
Arrived v.well chilled (was little anxious as DPD collected day before, tDMco confirmed will be fine & it was, could have easily been out for delivery longer & this was in the 30 degree heat.

After placing my order I realised I had made a mistake on the delivery date
I emailed and the service and response were both excellent-really impressed and will definitely use these guys again

I use farmison and Co usually but for a change tried dorset.
The mince was absolutely swimming in oil in my slow cooker I spent ages spooning it out and some items had been frozen because they were frozen on delivery.
The meat tastes nice however I won't be returning.
farmison is so fresh it's full of blood on delivery and the mince has nowhere near the amount of oil.

Flank steaks were beautifully tender, full of flavour, and absolutely hit the spot. However, the Slow Cook Barbacoa Chuck remained too tough to shred even after twice the recommended cooking time and ultimately had to abandon the dish (ended up dicing the joint into a chilli con carne). Really disappointed as had purchased for a celebratory meal and the seasoning had a lovely flavour.

By accident, I bought the Butcher's Box as my first box. The meat, (lamb & beef), was always superb but I have to mention the beef mince, something I tend to use as a butcher guide. This was simply the best mince that I have ever bought. A perfect balance of meat & fat, beautifully dry, greasy, never wet & roughly minced so you can appreciate the quality of the meat. If the mince was that good, how good do you think the rest is...bone in lamb shoulder, rump steak, Barnsley chops...magnificent!

Main item (shoulder of mutton) was as tough as old boots, even after 7 hours at 160 degrees.
I also ordered a rack of lamb, but received only half a rack (4 ribs).
Finally, I wanted some pigeon breasts but knew I would not be using these for a few days. I asked on the order if they would keep. When they arrived I found the sell-by date was before my requested date. For some reason, this company defrosts their meat before sending therefore they cannot be refrozen.
All-in-all, a decidedly poor experience.
I would recommend using Farmison or Donald Russel as never had a problem with them.

Start from packing all is tier 1 packed and stored. The package is sparkle clean it doesn’t drip or have residue on the outside. Cleaning is the first sign of professionalism.
Weight is right, the meat has a very intense colour, marbling look just perfect, a very fine grain texture. I cooked immediately as i received and it tastes great. If i have to find a down side Yes it’s costly but trust me these are money well spent, you won’t regret it, feed your family right folks!

Dorset Meat Company is excellent. Their produce is very good and of the highest quality. There is always something new to try.
The ordering and delivery is also very efficient.

They have a superb product range which causes me problems, what do I purchase this time ? With every delivery we have had has been of an excellent quality. Their prices are competitive. Their package is fully supported by an effective delivery system.

I've been ordering from this company for a couple of years, on and off. Each occasion has been a delight with quality food. Delivered as expected, packaged with care.

WOW Its the most amazing Meats I've ever tasted...Hands down top high quality that makes your mouth water for more.. even there fresh fish & deli with some fantastic tasting cheese... Even delivery service was fast and on time...You truly taste the difference when you eat grass fed meats....

The most delicious meat we have ever eaten! We normally buy all our meat from our local butcher but wanted to eat meat that had been grass fed and slowly reared. Although it is a bit pricey, it is well worth every penny and we will only buy DMC meat from now on. Never tasted such delicious meat (we tried their chicken, lamb, t bone steaks, pork shoulder & bacon) it has totally exceeded our expectations! Buy some, you won’t be disappointed :)

Standard a disappointing experience

First time ordering from the Dorset Meat Company and the order arrived as scheduled, Tried the ribeye steak and can see why there so many 5 star ratings. If this is what I can expect each time then I will be a regular. 👍

Where do I even begin? 🤦‍♂️

Ordered two weeks ago for Saturday delivery. Waited in all day, only to find out at the end of the day that it wasn’t coming and would arrive Monday instead. Wow—meat in transit for four days, despite paying extra for Saturday delivery! 🤢

The director rang me on Sunday to apologise and said they’d send another order at their expense—which I found odd, considering I had already paid for it. Then, on Monday, I got a notification saying it was out for delivery.

I contacted them, explaining I couldn’t accept a delivery on Monday, as I wouldn’t be home until Friday. They then said they’d get it to me on Thursday… 🤨

Turns out, "at their expense" meant they expected me to accept the original delivery on Thursday or Friday—which, surprise surprise, never arrived! Instead, the replacement turned up today—Saturday. So, what part of this was “at their expense” exactly?!

Now, here’s the biggest issue—I follow a carnivore diet and go through a lot of meat. I was looking for a reliable supplier to spend £500 a month with, but Dorset Meat Company won’t be getting a penny more from me!

Oh, and £100 for a big box with a tiny amount of meat? Absolute rip-off. ❌

Very happy with both my skin on and skin off chicken breast fillets. They were big and tender. Arrived when expected. I will be ordering again.

A first class product. Recently purchased goat meat from this company. It was very well packaged and tasted delicious

Exceptional quality, a little more expensive than supermarket but fantastic value. The joint of pork was amazing, best I have ever tasted. Juices made great tasty gravy, so succulent. Packed perfectly. Delivery was tracked with DHL on time. Cannot fault. Will never order meat from supermarket again. Thank you DMC

Please note when you buy the product that the sausages are full of Rapeseed oil. Be careful with the wine as received bottle that is vinegar , and after writing to company did not even receive reply. Used to be great - I'd advise local butcher for 100% meat and Waitrose for better quality wine for same price point - just my point of view
