I ordered food for a 70th birthday dinner for my husband and was extremely pleased with the quality of the meat (a delicious Beef Wellington) various cheeses and some yummy butter. The order arrived exactly when promised and in great wrapping to keep it cool. We were more than pleased with our purchases and wouldn't hesitate to order from this company again!

Ordered some sausages, rabbit and venison burgers for my dad. Arrived perfectly on time, packaged well. Quality was excellent. Just ordered some fish for my mum this morning. I emailed as there was a glitch with the delivery slot I had chosen. Had a very quick, very helpful reply and it is all sorted now. Thank you! First rate quality and service. Would highly recommend.

The box arrived at my door and the delivery driver made a huge effort to tell me it was heavy and offered to help. The meat was packed beautifully, and interleaved with ice packs which were all still frozen. The meat is really good, butter and cheese too and particularly good were the chicken and wild mushroom pies. So much better than anything you can find in a supermarket. Thank you so much Dorset Meat company, so glad I found you. Everything I ever wanted.

Bought few stuff from them including 500g of bone marrow for my baby. It has 4 bones in the packet but only 2 has marrow in it. The other 2 are just bone.

Ordered duck, chicken, fish and meat scraps for my cats. The chicken wings and legs didn’t look fresh and once the packages were opened, omitted a terrible smell, which further confirmed the product wasn't fresh. Very disappointed and will no longer order from them.

Have been working my way through a reasonably largw order and overall unfortunately disappointed.
Pretty much all meat to date has been very chewy and generally flavourless.
Was looking for an authentic company to supply on regular basis but cant justify this going forwards.
I write this as my lank shank is being left as i cant eat it.
Shame, packaging looks high end when arrives, but not for me.

Terrible. First order was delivered a mile away leaving me and 20 family members disappointed. No immediate redelivery or solution - please use other online butchers so you are not disappointed.

This is the second time I’ve used Dorset Meat Company and I’m a firm follower from now on.
I liked the ethos of the company for sourcing grass fed meat from small independent farmers who care for their animals over a good few years before humane slaughter. The meat is first class and only slightly more expensive than a good high street butcher ( fast disappearing). I’m happy to eat less meat and pay a little more for top quality produce. Highly recommend this company.

Great meat, terrible customer service unfortunately.

I placed and order with the Dorset meat company for a big Birthday for myself! Had Fillet, Rib Eye and Sirloin, included some specialty butter, cheese and wine !! Order came well packaged and with chilled control, all items had good long dates, everything was amazing, loved the steaks and the isle white and Oxford blue cheeses spectacular!! Will definitely use again ! 👍👍😁

This is a fantastic company, with excellent produce; grass-fed, sustainable and ethically raised. It is produce from small family run farms, so you know exactly where it’s coming from. The taste is notably different and superior. It is well packaged, delivered quickly and the service is fantastic. When things go wrong, they acknowledge it and take accountability quickly, professionally and with the customer at the centre of what they do. I’ve recommended to many family and friends and they all have the same excellent experience.

Fantastic service from start to finish. Easy to order and order was acknowledged immediately at the start of the next working day.

Big let down at Christmas. Ordered in October thinking that much notice would secure my food. Ordered for 23rd Dec but got a message late in 22nd to say it would now be delivered on the 24th. The whole point was to get quality meat, which it is, and avoid the shops at peak shopping time to be with family. But I went to Waitrose and got some food for the 23rd and got extra for the 24th as I had the fear it wouldn’t arrive.
The parcel arrived, but the chocolates had been swapped out and the large wellington to feed 5 was half the size I’d paid for! No communication at all, they took my money months in advance and failed on Christmas Eve! I got a refund immediately without any quibble, I asked if they could get a Wellington out to me but they just said no. So please don’t rely on this company for a special occasion.
Also the cooking instructions for the wellington were wrong - I’ve ordered a wellington from them for the last 3 years at Christmas so something went very wrong this year.
Lucky I had spare food, was quite an expensive experience and cost time away from family which I resent.
I’ve had plenty of meat boxes over the years that have been excellent. I’ve even had a call from them in the past when one item of cheese wasn’t available, so I do recognise that in the past they were a super company with excellent communication and customer care. I suspect they have been highly successful but have not managed to scale up and sadly the customer is the one to be let down.

I’ve had 2 deliveries from the Dorset meat company so far. The delivery has been spot-on. The meat has been spot-on. I originally started using this company because I don’t advocate the use of religious slaughter. This company deals with farms that use small abattoirs, using traditional methods, so that the animals aren’t stressed. Yes, they may be slightly dearer than supermarket prices but the quality is excellent, you can certainly taste the difference.

It doesn’t matter how good the meat is if it isn't delivered on time. Reliability is everything with food delivery, and this service failed. I ordered a brisket with priority delivery a full week in advance to ensure I had two days for prep work. However, it failed to arrive on Friday and Saturday, putting my Sunday event at risk. DPD now shows a Monday delivery. Luckily, I found a replacement locally to save the day, but I won’t be using this 'online service' again. You’ve lost a customer

When I phoned order in the lady was so helpful. Order arrived on time, meat was delicious and we were updated all the way. Will definitely use this Christmas.

Preordered 2kg pork loin and 400gms chicken breasts in September for delivery 24th December - paid in full. Pork arrived well-packaged and cooled on the 24th but no chicken breasts! To be fair, my email asking for an explanation was replied to straight away, but the explanation was a little lacking - apparently they are not made aware in advance of any shortfalls in their orders by the packers - incredible! Made my Xmas Eve, as a disabled non-driver, a lot more exciting and expensive as I booked a taxi and battled the throngs in Sainsbury - where I will get my meat in future, there being no shortage of chicken breasts there! Poor customer service and won't be back. **Forgot to mention full refund arrived promptly but would rather have received my chicken**
