Worst Airport Ever
Worst Airport Ever. Came early to relax to enjoy drinks & food, but Zero normal restaurants or bars in Terminal 1. Can't wait to leave this country.

The passport e check-in booths all out of order natal passport control terrible very badly organised. Caotic takes a lifetime to get through. Hope I never have to use this airport again.

The staff quite literally stood in my way today to stop me scanning my passport on the automatic barrier. I am treated like a criminal every time I go through this airport (which is every week) and I assume that it is due to not looking like a stereotypical example of my nationality. The staff also swore at me while speaking to me. There is no reason whatsoever why I should be prevented from scanning my VALID passport (8 years remaining on the passport) on the barrier
You can do better CDG. Yet another stressful experience and rude staff.
What should have been a routine transit turned into yet another stressful experience at CDG.
I was selected for additional screenings, which unfortunately was not an isolated incident. Various checks were carried out on me and some of my belongings such as my phone which was honestly confusing and strange since it wasn’t an issue the many times I passed through that same check. I fully understand the need for security and cooperated as usual though it was absolutely a big waste of time, but the way this was handled left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and singled out.
I was constantly racing against the clock because of the delays caused by these additional checks, despite travelling with ordinary items I regularly carry and have never had an issue with before. Secondary screenings may sometimes be necessary, but when it happens repeatedly without clear explanation, it creates unnecessary stress—especially for passengers with connecting flights.
What particularly disturbed me was being told that they check people who “look a certain way.” I don’t know whether that had anything to do with my queer appearance, but hearing this after being singled out was deeply unsettling.
I will always support legitimate security measures. What I cannot support is a lack of sensitivity, professionalism and clear communication in how they are carried out.
By the time I reached my destination, I was completely drained. What should have been the beginning of a lovely summer holiday instead became an experience I will unfortunately remember.
Security is important, but so is treating passengers with dignity and respect. At this point, I’d rather deal with an AI chatbot system than staff who communicate with passengers this poorly.

Typical rudeness lived up to…
Typical rudeness lived up to expectations expected from this country. However, when it comes to mobility access, it was a whole new level of arrogance and incompetence. Several times my wife had to explain our son’s disabilities and needs as they are not obvious, whilst sobbing her eyes out. The check-in assistant was incredibly rude. Very little compassion or care for how this might upset us and our son.

Flying home with easyJet from Paris to Manchester.
Flight was delayed due 19.50 arrived 20.53 take off.
Extremely rude lady on boarding desk, I am making an official complaint.
Absolutely disgusting behaviour and attitude.
Terminal very confusing, extremely busy, very chaotic.
Long waits, no staff, no organisation at all!
Seemed to have a different set of rules for each person going through security.
Staff simply ignored you if you were English.
Many people almost missed their flights due to this!
Would never fly from or to this airport again, it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish!

One hour in immigration with a two-year-old while… empty booths ten feet away.
We waited over an hour at immigration. During that wait, I watched adjacent lanes sit completely empty, not for thirty seconds, but for five to ten minutes at a stretch. Scanners open, no one being let through. Passengers were sorted into three or four queues by passport type, and the distribution was wildly uneven: one line barely moving, another with nobody in it at all.
There is no priority handling for families with small children. None. The family directly ahead of me had an infant of about one and a child of four. Nobody offered to move them forward. Nobody offered to move me forward. When we raised it with staff, they were clear they were following instructions,
which I accept. That’s precisely the problem. If the instruction is “make a solo parent with a toddler stand for an hour beside an empty booth,” the instruction is the failure, not the person enforcing it.
“It’s August, it’s peak season” is not a defence. Peak season is predictable. It’s on the calendar every single year. Staffing for it is the entire job. This is purely an operational failure from corporate.
Deeply disappointing for an airport of this profile.
You need at least 3 hours to get through
You need at least 3 hours to get through to gate. It’s is a series of long cascading queues: checkin, bag drop, passport control, security and long walks. If you have kids and need to clear passport control on departure, you can’t use the automated terminals, you have to queue for a person. They might only open 1 kiosk! As happened to us. Best avoid the airport entirely on a Sunday as they don’t staff it up. They also wipe gate information even if the gate is still open. We missed our flight despite being at the airport over 2 hours ahead. Check-in staff gave us Gate 13, which does not exist. Staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful.

Very poor experience today due to a computer glitch my wife from India we tried explaining to the counter that the computer let them know but the staff told us nothing we will boycott this place so it closes for good refunds for everyone never flying out of Paris again
Nil point awful service
Absolutely awful chaotic and terrifying. Assistance was awful 2 wheelchairs booked but only 1 available we also needed invisible disability assistance the staff were rude told us to go away I had to insist for 30 minutes to get help by which time my son was in tears. Deserves 0 stars really
Avoid!!
Avoid!!
CDG airport was a disaster start to finish.
Traveled Monday from Manchester to CDG arrived at 9:35 and left the airport around 13:30 due to all the checks.
Huge lines of people, 3 members of staff on over 10-12 kiosks.
When approaching the staff they are rude and dismissive, no help at all, yawning in your face &, miserable.
Left yesterday got to the airport 3 hours prior, again massive queues, can’t ask anyone for advice or help due to them pretending they don’t know any English!!
Went through hand luggage security where my husband was putting his water in the bin, we was stopped by a member of staff who told us we didn’t need to get rid of any fluids now so he put it in the tray which then sent us through to extra security because of the water bottle we had been approached about and told to take with us 🤷🏻♀️
Got to passport checks and we was running so late due to everything else that they put us in a “fast lane” to get us onto the flight, the guy managing the lane was useless, he didn’t understand why we’d been moved forward and continued to let others through the other lanes in front of us. When the person in front of us left the kiosk it was then our turn to get our passport checked but unless he approved you to move forward he shouted at you to get back behind the line until he said so! It’s like being back at school being shouted at. All I can assume is that he was potentially bullied at school!!
Once at the kiosk, stood waiting for the staff to rummage in her bag for her phone charger, put it on charge and scroll through instagram and TikTok before she would put my passport in the machine. We made the flight with minutes to spare.
We will never use this airport again, we lost half a day at DLP because of them and the stress of it all is not worth it.
Avoid at all costs!!!
Absolutely nightmare
Absolutely nightmare. As soon as we flew it it was a mess, 2 hours to get through security, they had 4 people on when they had enough booths for 10! And when we got to the booths every single one of the staff were miserable! Didn’t say a word! Didn’t even look at us just put their hand out. Just too busy strolling on their phones on instagram/tiktok and moving as slow as a snail because of it! All of them extremely rude! And the same when we were leaving when we got to the security gate yet again too busy strolling on their phones so slowing everything up again!
Genuinely do not go to this airport
Genuinely do not go to this airport if you can help it.
The place itself is massive, which wouldn't be an issue if it was laid out or signed well, which it isn't. Even with the digital map its very easy to get lost and it doesn't help that the staff sometimes send you in the wrong direction. Their use of long winding crowd control barriers even when there is no crowd is perplexing. There are also a lot of birds trapped within the buildings.
While transferring here I lost my hand luggage, this was very distressing as it contained ID and cash. When asking for help the staff around me was utterly unhelpful, dismissive and apathetic. We re-traced our steps after getting separated (very stressful as staff were very pushy) but couldn't find the bag anywhere. We asked 10+ staff members as we went and not a single person could help, those that tried didn't know where help desks were or what the protocol was while the majority were unbelievably rude.
I don't understand how these people can keep their jobs with the way they treat those going through this airport or if its just part of the job description to be an unpleasant and horrid person.
Every other airport I have been to has been streamlined and professional while this one is absolute hell.
The worst experience ever left us distressed
The worst experience ever. I've never witnessed a country try to prove every terrible stereotype as fast as possible. Twice on two seperate flights we were funneled into the completely wrong section, i've never met lazier more disgustingly pompous staff that are only focused on shoving people away as fast as possible. My friends bag was lost/stolen and they were either rude or down right cruel and offered little to no help, those that did were unable to do anything. Theres a woman at security that looked at me like dirt when i was desperately asking for help and was more focused on smacking her over filled lips at me. We were forced to give up as even customer service didnt do anything and offered zero advice, we asked everyone we could over an hour before we had to leave for our flight empty handed. At one point they were so focused on pushing people into queues we got separated which was extremely distressing and left us shaken along with the missing bag. So much security and hundreds of security cameras that are apparently as useless as the employees.
Disgusting customer service
Disgusting customer service. On arrival it was unclear which “pen” you should join the queue for. After 15 mins in the holding queue we were redirected to another 12+ queue where we waited a further 45mins. Families with children under 12 were directed to a shorted queue with no indication as to when we would be called. There were no toilets available and it was very hot and busy. Staff did not indicate how long it would be to pass through passport control. I have never been through an airport that is so disorganised! During our visit the screen displayed 20mins as the waiting time… this was completely inaccurate!
Worst airport in the world
If I could give this airport 0 stars I would. The staff is unpleasant, rude, and unhelpful. The airport is dirty and disorganized. They get mad if you don’t speak French and give you no help. We get yelled at for not following rules that don’t apply to other airports and are also not visibly explained. Hopefully will never come through this airport again. This is the third time I’ve gone through CDG and it gets worse every time.
