Don’t use CDG airport. From all my travels travelling through…

From all my travels travelling through T2c at CDG is the worst experience ever. My family were in tears, my daughter with her baby was subjected to the most humiliating security checks including checking every single food item, staff unsure of what they were doing. My other daughter was told to take her glasses off to put through a scanner. The rudeness of the staff was just awful. The lady who checked my bag didn’t speak, just grunted at me, was unnecessarily aggressive and downright rude. She touched everything in my bag, didn’t repack it, left a pile fir me to sort, I honestly felt liked someone had broken into my house, it was degrading and disgusting how we were treated. I highly recommend avoiding this awful place and I will never return to this airport. As an auditor I get they have a job to do, but teach them to do it properly and professionally.

all lazy horrible to customers very unhappy many border police are closed and are not open people sat in the rooms ignoring not serving they don’t deserve there check at all I’ve been stood for 40 minutes without no service 😡

You have totally forgotten about your bread and butter passengers .. full of posh shops .. Hardly anywhere to eat .. staff are extremely rude .. so disappointed.. will try to AVOID this airport as much as I can .. TERRIBLE ‼️

Poorly managed airport

If you've found yourself in CDG Paris I'm sorry to tell you, you've died and gone to hell. I can't understand how this place operates as a hub, spare yourself the drama and use a different hub. Heathrow, Schiphol and Istanbul are all far superior. We arrived 3.5hours early for our flight and still had little time left. Automatic machines to check bags in but bag drop is manned so you queue to drop it anyway, totally pointless having those machines. You queue to scan your boarding pass, then prepare for an hour to get your passport scanned at peak times, they have very little staff working. Then you will hit security so prepare for another hour. It's actually a safer bet to arrive late and make yourself known to the staff so you get to skip all the queues. I've never hated an airport more and was looking forward to mooching at the shops. In fact all the shops were dead when we did get through signifying everyone having a similar experience to us, there is simply no time to do anything but stand and wait for god knows what. Keep your boarding pass out by the way as it needed seen at least 5 times for some reason

Staff rude, very bad organisation
2 hours to go through passport control

When boarding, terminal 2E gate 23 today for NCL, no announcement was made to let us know about the boarding by zone. When queuing under sign 23, we were told off to move and ordered to wait under the sign 22. When trying to explain why we went to gate 23 ( as written on our boarding passes and as announced) , not only the first man didn’t apologise, but he called his colleagues and we were shouted and laughed at out by 3 members of staff!!! Including one member wearing ant Air France uniform.
The organisation, the signing, and worst of all the staff are appalling. Their level of customer service is non existent.
To AVOID absolutely!

Would of given it 0* if possible! Travelled the world far and wide and this is by far the worst airport I have been through! Rude, ignorant staff, two hours to get through passport control, on entering and exiting the country. Gates changed at the last minute, no warnings! Avoid if at all possible!

TERRIBLE!!!!!! JOKE OF A PLACE

PASSPORT CONTROL .
who ever signed off on the layout and system in place should be sacked immediately.
Absolute ridiculous and unless.

One queue for people travelling without kids . And another queue for families, which is rammed packed with lots of very young children who are extremely board , tired , Hungry, cranky, forced to wait in an extremely overcrowded space for hours.
WHILE THE STAFF CHILL OUT HAVING CHATS AND A JOKE .. AND THEN WAITS UNTIL PEOPLE HAVE ALMOST MISSED THEIR FLIGHTS TO DECIDE TO ACTUALLY DO SOME "WORK". If your lucky enough to have stood waiting in passport control for over an hour and your flight is about to take off then you might be the 1 out of 10 family's to eventually skip every other family who has already lost their patience waiting to get to their flight.

I dont understand why they would only open two passport control windows when they know there is a large amount of flights leaving at certain hours . Instead of having useless "staff" standing around doing f all . Sack them and hire the much needed passport control staff to keep the queues flowing..

But anyways,

If it is possible I would say avoid this airport
It has put me off of ever travelling through it again .

Completely avoidable madness

Ques, ques and more un-necessary ques.. travelled with my partner and 2 young kids from Shannon to CDG for DLP, spent 1.0-1.5hrs hrs on arrival inching our way through passport control with 2 impatient kids. Of the 8 desks available, 2 were open checking passports while 3-4 staff were "monitoring" the people in the ques trying to keep the peace and stop the fighting.. it was worse when departing, arrived 3hrs before flight and made it through with 20 mins to spare.. The worst experience we have ever had in a major airport, but completely avoidable. There appears to be a lot of staff directing ques making very little impact on progress, instead of just manning the passport booths properly, it makes no sense.. not letting it ruin the trip but have decided we will never return through CDG again. If you have social anxiety or are any bit clostraphobic, just be mentally prepared for a battle of deep breathing exercises.. unfortunately, it is the families with the kids under 16 that are suffering because we can't use the passport machines.. in summary - allow plenty of time, at least 4hrs for short haul flights which sounds like a crazy comment but is truthful..

It was terrible

It was terrible. The security was incredible rude whilst telling us to push our trays along the conveyer belt when that is there job, telling us to hurry up. One man especially was shockingly hostile. I was very angry afterwards

Terrible experience.

Got off pretty large jet down a portable stair, no jet way, and then crammed us onto a bus like sardines. We had to get to another terminal and no signage. We did find the right corridor and joined a long line at elevator for gate m. After standing there we were told gate m was the other way because elevator was broken. Horrible lines everywhere. Nobody could answer questions or respond when it looked like we were going to miss our flight as did several others. How can this be the best European airport? Will try to never come here again.

A recent poll ranking Paris CDG as best…

A recent poll ranking Paris CDG as best European airport is clearly flawed! How can a airport when passengers must systematically remove all electronics and liquids at security win when all other European airports are fully equipped with new equipments allowing to leave everything by in one’s bags ! This results in long and cumbersome security procedures. CDG has a couple of new machines at long haul terminals! Same for automated passport control gates (avoid terminal 2C !). In 2026 when all other European airports are fully equipped should disqualify Paris as best European airport.

Terrible airport

Terrible airport, layout is bad, moving within different terminals and gates takes forever. Staff are very rude. food selection is terrible! How could Paris airport be this bad.

Horrible Terminal 1 Gate 60-68 security check

Hello everyone,

I don't know what was going on with the staff at the Lufthansa (and also Swiss and Austrian) departure area last night, but when we – my wife, myself, and our three daughters – arrived, there was already a very unfriendly, drill-sergeant tone: Really loud and bossy: "Come here, fast, come on, this way...STOP...only you three..." Our other daughters were simply allowed to continue standing in line with strangers... Open all trolleys and bags, take out all liquids, take out all cell phones... "Do you have liquids in here?" "No." I thought she meant anything other than the usual 3x100ml in the resealable 1L bag. I rummaged through my trolley, the employee grinned smugly, and the drill-sergeant tone returned: "I asked you...you said no, and now I have found some..." It went on like this the whole time. Simply unacceptable. We were at a European airport, supposedly the best, awarded four times in a row. I have no idea who gave this review, but yesterday was a complete disaster, dear French. We spent five days in Paris and met only lovely people, felt really comfortable, but CDG managed to ruin it. We were in Terminal 1, which isn't great anyway, but as I said, yesterday evening was hell. They randomly opened 100ml bottles, repacked some into other airport bags, and threw them back in (yes, literally threw them). They weren't even properly resealed, as we discovered three had leaked when we unpacked them.

So, in short, CDG, that was awful. You can do better, and I hope this matter is investigated. It was around 7 pm yesterday.

I'm only giving it two stars because they were careful about security at boarding and asked for our passports. Incidentally, this was the first and only time that happened in the entire airport. We checked in with our booking number and went through security with just our boarding passes.

We will definitely visit France again. But we will be prepared for CDG next time, which in our opinion does not deserve the title of best airport in Europe. This includes how guests/passengers are treated, and you completely failed in that regard this time.

Personale a dir poco maleducato... Arroganza da far venire la pelle d'oca, per nulla disponibili (ovviamente ci sono le eccezioni ma è cosa rara). Ai controlli spariscono intere ceste per ricomparire solo dopo aver chiamato la polizia!!! La cosa bella è che ti guardano col sorrisetto come se fossi stato tu lo stupido a non vederla!!! Da far venire la nausea...

Un constat accablant depuis le flux des vols AF transférés d’Orly vers Roissy. L’aérogare 2G gère les vols pour la France (Biarritz, brest, etc…) et ne tient absolument pas compte des voyageurs skypriority. Une file d’attente, non gérée! Un seul comptoir pour autant de bénéficiaires de SP. A quoi bon continuer de voyager sur AF ? Si aucun effort n’est fait pour assurer sa clientèle! À croire qu’AF n’a plus d’intérêt pour les voyageurs sur les lignes intérieures. Et ADP ne fait rien pour arranger les choses! Si ADP Roissy n’est pas capable de gérer un afflux de vols, AF n’aurait pas dû transférer tous ses vols au grand mécontentement des clients !

CDG, ou le plaisir d’emm… les gens

Bienvenu au tiers monde.
Pour voyager depuis près de 30 ans je peux confirmer semaine après semaine que CDG est l’aéroport le plus stupide de la terre.
Juste arrivé, l’avion accoste à une plate-forme mais on te fais descendre l’escalier pour prendre un bus. Ce sont des maîtres d’inorganisation capable d’un foutoir innommable même à quelque chose d’établi, juste pour le plaisir d’emm… les gens.
Je ne commente pas le contrôle des passeports, on installe des bornes automatiques pour les voir toutes, sans exception fermée et devoir glander dans la file commune même quand tu arrives avec un passeport français.
Je serai toujours fasciné par la stupidité de cet aéroport.
En punition j’aimerais que l’on fasse vivre ne serait-ce qu’une seule fois cette expérience aux sans doutes énarques bien pensants qui gère ce modèle de dissatisfaction

Parigi CDG il peggior aereoporto che…

Parigi CDG il peggior aereoporto che abbia mai in visto. Fatto scalo e rifatti nuovi controlli , personale talmente lento che sembra essere uno scherzo. Hanno rischiato di farci perdere il volo, questo è stato perso solo perché fortunatamente era in ritardo. Alla richiesta di farci passare per il controllo bagaglio, l'addetto non si è minimamente interessato anzi se n'è andato via. Facevano passare una persona ogni 6 minuti al controllo delle valigie e controllavano ogni singola boccetta da 100 ml con una lentezza incredibile. Erano aperte solo due linee di controllo e c'era una fila lunghissima ma da parte degli addetti non c'era interesse a velocizzare. MAI PIÙ SCALO A PARIGI. Ho visto tantissimi aereoporti in tutto il mondo, mai vissuta una situazione simile. Se capita di fare scalo consiglio almeno 3 ore ( ma anche più) per il cambio aereo. Una stella anche troppo.

Beyond horrific

What can I say, passport control was an experience we will never forget (2 adults 2 children) returning from Paris to Northern Ireland. Hundreds upon hundreds of people trapped at passport control in Terminal 2D for 2+ hours. Grown adults ready to physically fight each other to be next in line. The staff "manning" the 4 queues they had created for 1 window open were truthfully a joke. It got to the point the staff vanished and there was no one to hold back the crowd, it then became a free for all the get to the window. We were in the queue for passport control from 3pm for a 4.50pm flight, we did not get through until 4.50pm, multiple families boarding the same flight were in the same position as us, resulting in a delay of the flight. Children screaming, people crying, sweat running off everyone as the temperature in the building was insane. Honestly, I am beginning to wonder was it a social experiment being filmed for some sort of reality show because truly it was the most ridiculous experience of my life. Never seen anything like it and hopefully won't do ever again.

Charles de Gaulle Airport: A Masterclass in How to Miss Your Flight

I didn’t know an airport could function this badly until I landed at Paris Charles de Gaulle for a layover. Imagine thousands of people funneled into a single, endless snake of a queue because most of the security lanes were just… closed. Not broken, not under maintenance. Just closed, while everyone watched the clock and slowly entered panic mode.
Meanwhile, the staff were moving with the speed and enthusiasm of a herd of sleepy sloths after a heavy lunch. They joked, strolled around, disappeared from their posts for 5–10 minutes for no apparent reason, and certainly didn’t bother to let anyone else step in for them. People were literally begging not to miss their flights; they looked more stressed than the staff, who seemed almost amused by the chaos.
After finally surviving this circus and passing security, I heard a passenger complaining to one of the agents because his AirPods had simply vanished after being sent through the scanner twice. Instead of showing the slightest hint of concern or trying to help, the agent answered with passive-aggressive, unhelpful comments—as if losing your belongings due to staff incompetence while you’re already late is somehow funny.
Passport control was just as shambolic: only two gates open for EU passengers, with dozens and dozens of people in line, inching forward at glacial speed. No information, no organization, no urgency. I travel all over the world for work, and I can honestly say I’ve seen better organization in so-called “third world” countries than in this so-called major European hub.
If you have a choice, do yourself a favor and avoid connecting through CDG. This place feels less like an international airport and more like a social experiment in how far you can push passengers before they completely lose it.
