I had a lovely solicitor by the name of Catherine Stewart of Lyon Davidsons in Bristol, who helped me from 15th May 2023 with an accident on theM25 , all the time she informed me of what was happening and gave me excellent advice right up until the settlement in September 2026. I would definitely recommend her as an excellent Solicitor to help.

I was disappointed that my file was not carefully checked before going forward to the other solicitors, with the result that my costs were not submitted. The document portal system may have confused me and led to me ticking a box I shouldn't have, but a check would have exposed this. Subsequently no supervisory staff were willing to talk to me to explain the situation.

During a three year process, involving injury and loss of earnings following a car accident, which recently settled, my assigned solicitor was professional, helpful and thorough, if sometimes hard to get hold of. The treatment was all good quality (27 physio sessions included). I was not impressed by the company who took my witness statement, which I had to completely re-write. Overall, a good experience with Lyons Davidson.

The one striking factor that made my experience so great has been my Lyons Davidson Advisor Antony Bailey who has looked after me since day one. I have never been in this position before & having the support & many updates from Antrony has made my journey so much moire easier. It was horrible having the initial accident but there on after this has been so easy & thats been down to one person = Antony Baily. Please note Date of my experence is frequent dates between 6th June to today 25th Sept but i could only add one date so chose today

Deeply disappointed – case closed without contact, misunderstanding of facts

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Lyons Davidson. After being assigned to them through my Halifax/Lloyds legal cover, I expected a professional and thorough assessment of my case. Instead, my file was closed without a single phone call or meaningful contact, despite weeks of delays and repeated promises that someone would get in touch.

Throughout the entire time they held my case, nobody ever called me to discuss the facts, clarify the situation, or even confirm basic details. They simply made assumptions, misunderstood the circumstances, and then closed my file without speaking to me once.

The solicitor handling my claim stated that I “refused an inspection,” which is completely untrue. I have always allowed the dealership to inspect the vehicle at my home. What I refused was a commercial buy-back that required me to drive a faulty vehicle 200 miles, despite the dealer advising it should not be driven. This is a major safety issue and a clear legal distinction that was ignored.

Their decision was made without any contact, without clarifying the facts, and without addressing the evidence I provided. To then receive a closure letter followed by a request to leave a positive review — including mention of staff vouchers and “employee of the month” nominations — felt entirely inappropriate.

After weeks of waiting, unanswered calls, and no communication, I did not receive the level of care, accuracy, or professionalism I expected. I cannot recommend Lyons Davidson based on my experience.

Absolutely shocking service from this company, avoid if possible. Its taken a year and half to at a settlement offer for an accident and I have had to prompt all the way in that period to get any progression.

I would highly recommend Matthew Tebbutt, following the excellent support he gave me with my accident claim.

Throughout the process, Matthew was professional, approachable and most importantly to me, very honest. His advice was always clear and straightforward, and he took the time to explain everything so that I understood what was happening with my claim. Whenever I had questions or concerns, I felt comfortable asking him and was kept informed along the way.

A property developer installed fencing and gates across an access road. My deeds state the unmade road is to be used for all purposes at all times.

The customer portal is very good and is easy to use, you can look and sign documents upload photo and any supporting documents for your case. Elli was easy to contact and took all of my calls even at 5:30 pm on a Friday. I would highly recommend this firm.

⭐ **1 star – Extremely poor communication and unacceptable delays**

I am currently dealing with Lyons Davidson in relation to a personal injury claim following a road traffic accident in February 2026. The third party has admitted full liability, yet I am extremely disappointed with the way my claim has been handled and, in particular, the lack of communication and apparent progress.

I attended an independent medical examination shortly after the accident and received the medical report approximately a week later. Within one day of receiving it, I challenged the report because I believed it contained factual inaccuracies and significant omissions regarding the injuries I sustained, the impact of the accident on pre existing issues, and new physical and psychological symptoms following the accident.

Since submitting that challenge, I have been repeatedly trying to establish what is happening with my claim. Messages through the portal go unanswered, emails receive no response, and I have escalated my concerns to management without receiving a meaningful response.

When I do eventually receive any information, I am simply told that my challenge to the medical report is “being reviewed”. Months later, I still do not appear to have reached the stage where a decision has even been made about whether the medical expert should be asked to reconsider or amend the report.

I fully appreciate that personal injury claims can take time and that medical evidence has to be properly considered. What I cannot understand is why reviewing my written challenge to a medical report should take this long, particularly when I raised the issues immediately after receiving it.

The most frustrating aspect has been the communication. I should not have to repeatedly chase through different channels simply to find out what is happening with my own claim. At the very least, I would expect acknowledgement of correspondence, clear updates, an explanation for the delay and a realistic indication of the next steps.

At present, I have very little confidence in the handling of my claim. The medical report currently on file does not, in my view, accurately reflect the accident, the injuries I sustained or their impact, yet months after raising my concerns I am still waiting for the challenge itself to be properly progressed. I will not sign a factually incorrect report or a report with important facts omitted. I am still paying for recovery treatment out of my own pocket 7 months on.

Based on my experience to date, the service has fallen significantly below what I would expect from a firm handling a personal injury claim.
