Great company to deal with
Hobgoblin would have to be the easiest and most agreeable company I've dealt with in ages. Get in touch with them and you get prompt replies from actual humans. The obscure musical instrument I ordered from them made it all the way to Aotearoa/New Zealand in about a week, which was pretty impressive.
The only downside to this was that the instrument was poorly set up and entirely unplayable when it arrived and was generally a bit of a disappointment.

The communication and service was great.
I ordered an item that wasn't currently in stock by mistake, and they emailed to make sure I was up-to-date on it's status. When I asked to change for a slightly different instrument they managed to source the type I had ordered and dispatch that to me, as I am pregnant and wanted it before my due date. Very sweet and kind!

1922 A4 Gibson mandolin
Messaged them to inquire about further details of a vintage 1922 A4 Gibson mandolin they had on their website. The reply said they were selling it for a customer and their representative considered the frets were worn, and he thought it could do with a refret. I responded asking for some photos of the frets, that was two weeks ago and has been totally ignored.
What a service, I hate to think what the customer would make of it, who has trusted them to "sell" it for him/her.

We are very sorry for this oversight - the email has now been sent, with our apologies. I've checked the date on the photo in the email you've hopefully recieved today, and it was taken on 12th March. I am not sure why the email did not send.
Hopefully a quick scan of our other reviews here and the reviews specifically of the branch in question on other well known sites will confirm to you that we always aim to offer the best possible customer service, and to put things right if they have gone wrong.
