Helen was unbelievable what a staff member youse have really impressed with her customer service thank you helen

We visited the Stockton store to get some items so my partner and I could start to go camping. We didn’t know where to start or what we would need. Finn guided us through our purchases, explained the differences between products, what certain products where for and what he recommended we would need to camp comfortably.
Outstanding customer service, thank you Finn.

Have not even received my goods email saying its been delivered no where in sight not dropped of at neighbours nothing

We visited the Stockton on Tees branch of Go Outdoors yesterday evening, 29/06/26 as my husband wanted a chair for the beach. The two assistants we spoke to, Thomas & Fin were extremely helpful trying to find the most suitable chair for my husband & were prepared to show us a few different ones. I would like to thank them for their excellent customer service.

Helen was great 10/10 service very helpful and helped me pick out the perf shoe for my backpacking trip :)

The product that I bought is very good. There was a good range to choose from. The man on the till was excessively rude to me, continuing to shout across the shop as I left.
Needless to say, I shall not be returning in the near future.

Unfortunately not the best of experiences last couple of visits. Lots of staff just stood chatting to one another, told a product I wanted was upstairs to then be told it was downstairs, still unable to find the product myself I yet again asked a staff member it was back upstairs , when someone DID eventually show their face in their department, dealt with me in a totally uninterested manner with no real customer service. Sold me something that didn’t fit the item requested meaning another wasted journey back to store. Where are the days when store staff really knew what they were selling in their relevant department?

Great service at a decent price.

Went with my granddaughter, on 28.06.26, who needed hiking boots, socks and equipment for Duke of Edinburgh Award, had a list from school. Helen was amazing, couldn't have been more helpful or obliging, made the whole experience seamless, pleasent and quick!

I was looking for shoes to support my in sole and still fit properly. Helen was in the shoe department and could see I was struggling to find something suitable. We had a chat about what I was looking for and Helen made some recommendations. But after a few more attempts I still couldn't find anything. So Helen suggested trying a foot and gait analysis to see what it would recommend and from there I was able to try some more shoes on. Although I didn't come away with any, I really appreciated Helen's time and patience and taking me through the analysis to get an idea of suitable footwear. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and speak with Helen.

We were helped by Helen in the walking boot department, and she was brilliant!!! Very knowledgeable and able to advise us on the best pair of boots and socks.
We were served at the till by Karen who was friendly and kind.
Thank you to both staff, you made our experience easy!

Was served by a lovely young lady called Millie. She was very nice and polite, offered advice on Yorkshire walks and was highly helpful on questions I had asked.

I wanted advice on walking boots for a trek I am doing and Jason was brilliant, advising me on the importance of ankle support for the terrain, the different makes and sizing , etc. He took time and gave lots of valuable information too, also explaining about the socks I would need for the 5 day trek. I bought the boots and 2 pairs of socks and am delighted. Would definitely go back in the future. Excellent service!

Great amount of stock / sizes. Had exactly what I was looking for. Polite friendly staff at checkout. Easy & pleasant shopping experience.

I was a little unhappy as I bought a gas pipe fitting for my cadac , at the till I asked a colleague last week if they were universal fittings , they assured me it would fit my newly purchased cadac . I went away for the weekend with my wife and VW camper . Fully stocked up on meats etc , excited to use my new cadac only to find that the gas pipe sold was indeed the wrong one .
I found out that there is a screw and a quick release fitting of which mine was . We then had to eat out which cost us considerably more money .
As you can imagine i was not really happy about the service / advice I had been given but as soon as I entered the store and spoke to Claire and Karen their cheeky charm and wit soon had me laughing and they simply asked me to swap it then served me the refunded difference. All with good craic . Credit to them both for impressing a customer who initially was unhappy to say the least . Smooth and easy with great personality.

I was in to looking for walking shoes for the 3 Peaks just before the walk ( foolish I know !) And while looking at a mass of shoes not knowing which would be best, Rebecca a staff member came over and was very helpful in getting a shoe that fit perfectly.

Since then I have completed the walk and can safely say they were an amazing pair of shoes that gave me no blisters until the very end of the walk but even then this was my fault for not having a spare pair of socks.

So in summary id highly recommended this store both for choice and service ( from Rebecca)
