The Gluttonous Gardener Omdömen 

Last year, I received a red grape vine and a bottle of wine as a big birthday gift from my school chums. Sadly, my vine didn’t make it through the winter and died 😔

Before my vine passed away, I had spoken with Jess to ask for advice on potting up and what soil to use. She was extremely helpful with her advice, so I went back to her when I realised my vine hadn’t made it through the winter.

I was very fortunate to quickly receive a replacement vine which I have since potted up and am very pleased to say it is looking good and much happier than it’s predecessor!

I would highly recommend the Gluttonous Gardener and would without question use them again if I needed or wanted a growing garden gift ☺️

My daughters bought me a grape vine as a gift early in the year, unfortunately it didn’t grow, looked like a dead stick. After a chat with the sellers & taking their advice I replanted it & gave it time- Still a dead stick. The seller on hearing this quickly arranged for a replacement, which was speedily delivered & very much alive. I can not fault their after sales service & am thrilled with a growing grape vine Great service

I called to say that my gifted white wine as part of the white and red set, wasn’t growing as per the red one and they sent me a new one! Now I have 2 flourishing vines!

I received a Christmas present from my son- a red wine vine, did everything in regards to planting but it didn’t take. I contacted Jess who explained what I had to do next and within 48hrs of me doing I had a new plant.. fantastic customer service.. very happy with the new thriving plant.. thank you.. Patrick

I received a grapevine as a xmas present and it was in it's dormant state (as they advised). I followed the instruction but it failed to come out of the state. I contacted Customer Services and after sending photos they confirmed it was dead. I received a very healthy replacement which by now was out of dormancy and was starting to grow leaves. I give 4 stars (deducting one for the original vine) for the great Customer Service. Thank you Jess.

For a Big birthday I received two beautiful plants carefully crated and packed. One lemon tree and one calamondin tree, I carefully looked after them throughout the winter but the lemon tree lost all its leaves.
I contacted Glut who gave me fantastic advice but still the lemon tree didn't survive. However Glut continued to be super helpful and even sent me a replacement lemon tree!
Such fantastic customer service and friendly company.

I ordered a Grow your own confetti set as an engagement gift but when the item arrived it had unfortunately been damaged in transit. I reported this straight away and the company were incredibly helpful, apologising and arranging that a new one was sent out to me the same day. The customer service was excellent and I was really pleased with the product.

I was sent two blueberry bushes as a gift. One was healthy the other not. Nonetheless, I planted it in accordance with the instructions but 6 weeks later it is clearly dead. Trying to get a replacement is like the famous Dead Parrot sketch from Monty Python. No amount of pictures of brown stalks and dead leaves or buds will make them accept it is dead. All I want is a replacement plant but instead I get veiled accusations of not doing things properly even though the other bush is flourishing. Definitely will not use this company again.
Update: I got a response that clearly shows this company does not read the reviews properly. I have already answered all their questions about my dead plant hence posting a review referring to the Dead Parrot sketch in which the shop keeper pays no attention to the customer's comments and ignores all the evidence...and yet here they go again with the response to this review. If I could give zero stars for customer service, I would.

I ordered the red wine growing tree yesterday as a birthday present for husband today, not really knowing anything about this gem of a company! It’s just arrived, packaged in a classy crate and with bottle labels with his name for when we harvest and convert to our own red wine - and he is over the moon! He can’t wait to get it established in the garden.

This site is now my go-to place for gifts for friends and family. It's great to give something that not only lasts but grows - and, in some cases, rewards the recipient with fruit, spices year after year. The gifts are well-packaged in an appropriate fashion (and quite exciting if in a crate). So far, all those who've received a plant or tree have been truly delighted.

I’ve bought a number of plants from The Gluttonous Gardener as gifts in the past. This is the first time I have seen one of their plants as it was a gift for my Mum & Dad’s Golden wedding anniversary. I have to say I was very disappointed having spent £62 on a plant that looked like I had spent £15. Just a very ordinary rose plant in a plastic pot, nothing special & way too expensive given I could have bought the same thing for a fraction of the price at the local garden centre. Also I had written a poem on the gift tag which they didn’t receive. It was my fifth purchase from TGG but will be my last unless the prices reflect the quality of products in the future.

I've given Gluttonous Gardener gifts on several occasions, and have always been impressed - as have the recipients! On a recent occasion I wanted a little tweak on what they offer, and they responded promptly and very helpfully. Then, when the gift (a voucher) arrived and had been damaged in transit, it was replaced immediately and without quibble.
Just brilliant customer service all round.

I ordered the medlar plant at £42 including delivery for a relative and was shocked when the wrong order turned up with a completely wrong message!! This is basic! I am disappointed by your service not only did I have the embarrassment of my relative receiving the wrong gift and completely the wrong message, I then had to ask her to give it back! The whole experience with your company has left me very dissatisfied and I feel you have made no effort to make this right! The present was expensive and the service does not reflect this.
If you want someone special to receive the correct gift in the first place… choose another plant company as from their reply message this happens often!!

I have just received a Medlar tree as a birthday gift. Beautifully packed in eco friendly , reusable container. Very healthy specimen tree. I will certainly use this company when choosing presents.
