I don’t normally leave reviews, but AJ definitely deserves one.
He called about an hour before arriving on Saturday afternoon to let us know he was on his way, which was really appreciated.
From the moment he arrived, AJ was friendly, professional and easy to talk to. He quickly diagnosed the problem with our Pulsacoil boiler and took the time to explain exactly what was wrong. He answered all our questions without ever making us feel rushed and clearly talked us through the steps needed to fix it.
The repair was completed quickly and efficiently, and everything has been working perfectly since.
It’s not often you come across someone who’s both knowledgeable and genuinely great with customers. AJ made what could have been a stressful situation straightforward and hassle-free. A real credit to Gledhill. Thanks again, AJ!

Great service
I had no hot water in my flat
I rang Gledhill they promised me a next day service but they came within 2 hours instead.
Nice friendly plumber fixed it with lighting speed

Excellent Service. My 92yr old Mum had no hot water and the whole process was very easy and professionally handled. The Engineer was prompt and the fault sorted - excellent - informative and helpful.

Time for the annual health check on the Pulsacoil. Good notice of date and then phone call to apologise for that date not being available and offered perfectly good date and time a week later. Engineer Ed arrived bang on time, carried out the check quickly and quietly and produced the paperwork with all items checked and all left working well. Excellent service from all involved. Angela - great customer service!
Angela at customer services was so helpful and reassuring this morning. Very professional and efficient in arranging a fixed price visit from a Gledhill approved plumber. She took time to explain everything carefully and our appointment for fault finding was booked for later this week. Hopefully the visit will be equally efficient- will report again after this!

Leak from kitchen sink
I had a leak from my kitchen sink, I arranged an engineer to call, AJ arrived on time and got to work straight away. He found the problem in no time at all and showed/explained to me where the issue was. He was very polite and knowledgeable and showed respect to my home. I have no problem in recommending AJ to anyone and wanted to say a big thank you.😁

Particularly difficult to get spares…
Particularly difficult to get spares from this company. I am a professional plumbing and heating company. I installed a Gledhill unvented cylinder for a client. Within a year, I was back at the customer's house. The cylinder was leaking internally. It was replaced under its guarantee, but after a long process with the plumbing supplier, who sent out a replacement cylinder for me to replace under the Gledhill warranty, after sending back my invoice and several chase-up calls, I never got reimbursed by Gledhill. Now, a year on, the drain-off valve has started dripping from the cylinder. Back to client: drain the cylinder and replace the washer. Unfortunately, the valve seat is worn and won't seal. Contact my supplier to liaise with Gledhill; I've called Gledhill customer services several times, and they've passed me between departments. They cannot use the customer's address and postcode to find the cylinder's serial number on the product warranty certificate. WHY? Another visit to the client's property to get the serial number. Call customer service again and explain the situation again for a replacement part. It's a drain-off valve. They don't call it that at Gledhill; they call it a 22mm compression elbow! Still no further on. So I looked online and bought a replacement part from a supplier. As you can imagine, the client and I are less than happy with Gledhill's results. They have now lost my business, and I install a lot of cylinders and the customer's confidence.

Poor first experience
Not the best first experience with Gledhill. Had to call them to fix a thermal store. Whilst all plumbers were polite and friendly, the work was poor. 1st plumber who cane out didn't have the suitable replacement mixer valve needed, and advised to fit the one he had, the pipes needed to be reconfigured, so a 2nd plumber came out 3 days later - however he just fitted the mixer valve the original plumber advised wasn't right. In doing so he strained the pipework and caused leaks in 3 places in the pipework, causing me to have to turn the water off for 21 hours whilst I waited for another plumber to come back. Original plumber came back and advised 2nd plumber had done it wrong. Fixed the leak temporarily (more like a sticking plaster approach), but it started leaking again shortly after he left. Customer service were very helpful and sent a plumber 1st thing next day. So 4th call out the plumber who came out did what the original plumber said needed to be done and reconfigured the pipework so the valve would fit properly. Had the 2nd plumber done this, I wouldn't have had to make 4 call outs.

We appreciate your patience throughout the four call-outs, and we’re pleased that our customer service team was helpful and that the final plumber was able to correctly reconfigure the pipework and resolve the issue. However, we fully understand your frustration that this was not completed correctly at an earlier stage and that the additional disruption could have been avoided.
We take feedback like this seriously and will be reviewing what happened with the engineers involved so that we can learn from the experience and help prevent a similar situation in future.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience and disruption caused, and thank you again for bringing this to our attention.
