We have lived in Randolph House Harrow since August 2024, and we are very happy here. The manager and the rest of the staff are all very kind, helpful and reliable. There is a friendly atmosphere.The flats and common areas are comfortable and well maintained, and the location of the development is excellent for shopping and public transport.

A caring friendly place to live
I rent a one bedroom apartment at Fairway View. The apartment is well designed and meets all my needs. Our house manager, Donna, helps us sort any problems we may find with our accommodation. She also organises events which we are free to join or not as we please. There is a friendly caring atmosphere in the building. Moving here was the best move I could have made

Brilliant activities at Beatty Court.
Our Manager at Beatty Court, Jennette, arranges no end of interesting activities to help bond the occupants of our development. Only this last week, she organised a Curry Night that was enjoyed by lots of residents. Perhaps some may have been a little anxious about the spicy tastes, so she offered us a wide range to try. She is currently organising a summer garden-party, including entertainment which all my fellow residents are looking forward to. There's always something going on, including pub lunches, trips out, games afternoons and a trip to the theatre. Recently, just to ring the changes, we even enjoyed a visiting speaker. We're never bored at Beatty Court.

Thomas Wolsey Place & the best house Manager ever
I have the pleasure of living at the Ipswich Thomas Wolsey Place development. I moved in alone, relocating 65 miles nearly two years ago , I knew no one locally.
My integration into living here has been driven by two equally important aspects. Community and friendship .
We are fortunate that at the heart of our amazing community , we have Tori Pallant as our House Manager. Tori is exceptional, she promotes and organises wide ranging events , these include Ploughman’s lunch or Soup and a roll initiatives monthly ; coffee and cake ( she’s an excellent baker ) ; afternoon tea ; musical events, guest speakers on a range of topics and interest; charity initiatives, Pimms and Prosecco in the Summer and a host of other seasonal events - the most recent was hot cross bun tasting. Sadly I missed that. Christmas celebrations are a delight , and Tori always ensures that the communal areas are decorated for the season , whether that is Easter bunnies, daffodils, red hearts or a pumpkin, and not forgetting the tree and tinsel at Christmas.
Tori is front and centre of a an empowered and happy community. My neighbours host quizzes, games nights and the odd party. We also have a nail technician come in, and on a Friday , Tori organised Active Lives - a form of keep fit for the mature person, which a number enjoy.
When it comes to running the development , Tori acts with such professionalism, she treats everyone equally, she knows her role and she gets stuff done as quickly and smoothly as possible. She keeps us up to date by a cheery and informative monthly newsletter.
I think of our development as a box. Me and my wonderful neighbours are the filling in the box - and Tori is the red ribbon that ties us all together to form a wonderful community.
Thanks also to Dave who supports us so effortlessly and with a smile when it comes to snagging and repairs.

We have just moved my mam to Clothier Manor.
I can’t thank Teresa enough for her help & support with moving our mam, from the 1st telephone call enquiring about an apartment, Teresa has been in daily contact answering any questions & has supported every step of the way to make this move as stress free as possible. I can’t thank her enough.
Dave the day manager is the kindest person from the minute we met him & every time we visited he has been friendly & put my mind at ease, he’d answered questions before I’d asked them.
From the 1st step into Clothier Manor we knew it was the right place.
The location is perfect, great transport links & Marks & Spencer as your corner shop.
The furnishings in the communal areas are lovely, feels like you’re in a hotel, the atmosphere is friendly & relaxed.
Looking forward to mam spending a happy life there.

We’ve had a really positive experience with Fee Cartwright, the House Manager in charge of my mother’s retirement home in Sale, over the past two and a half years. She has been a great source of information, advice, and support throughout, always approachable and willing to help with any questions or concerns.
Fee is incredibly empathetic and patient, which makes a real difference—especially in situations where extra understanding is needed. Her support has been particularly valuable given her knowledge and advocacy around dementia, which has been both reassuring and beneficial for our family.
She also goes above and beyond to create a welcoming and engaging environment for residents, regularly organising social events and entertainment that bring the residents together.

Our experience staying at McCarthy & Stone's John Percyvale Court , Macclesfield has always been fabulous.
They have a wonderful team , Sharon , Lynn, Selina, Shilean, Megan, Rachel. In fact , all of the team without exception always go all out to make us feel very welcome, comfortable and well informed . More importantly , my parents who moved into their apartment in October ,are so happy to have become part of the growing community and look forward to meeting up with their new friends every day. The facilities are extremely good, well maintained , very clean and everything is carefully organised for the well being of all the residents and their guests and families when visiting. All the staff from the domestic to senior management couldn't be more helpful. They genuinely care about mum and have been nothing but supportive. The communal areas are welcoming and well presented with lots of activities for residents to join in with if they want too. Lancer House, Colchester.
My Mum has lived in her apartment at Lancer House, Colchester for 4 years in May. She is so happy there, has made lovely friends and feels safe & secure.
She enjoys eating the delicious food in the Bistro, socialises with others and is helped by the waitresses if needed.
All of the Staff are amazing!
Jenny, the Senior House Manager and her Team work so efficiently to make everything run smoothly. They are kind, considerate and welcoming to the Residents, their Families and Visitors.
Jenny listened and was proactive with my suggestion of having a canopy over the back door to keep visitors dry whilst waiting to enter. This idea has been ok'd by Management and will be fitted in the future.
Jenny also provided and helped me set up a remote control for the door entry. This enables Mum to speak and open the main door to visitors without having to rush to the speaker unit. Thank you, Jenny.
Kerry, a House Manager, has been so efficient and attentive when Mum had fallen and had pressed her emergency buzzer, a life-line.
She was immediately at Mums apartment, attended to her with so much care, then contacted me.
This puts Me and my Family at ease, knowing that although Mum has her independence, there is always someone on hand if needed!

Staying in the guest room at Booth…
Staying in the guest room at Booth Court whilst visiting is always a pleasure. Room is always clean and well stocked. Staff are friendly and tolerant and understanding of our occasional late arrival. Occasional events (BBQ, outdoor brass performances) are great fun and the garden is beautifully kept.

Jasmine, in the sales office went above and beyond, helping me get my parents into an apartment. A thank you to our House Manager Tori Pallant
I last posted a review in May 2024 following my move to Thomas Wolsey Place (TWP) Ipswich to praise the help and support of McCarthy Stones staff, both Sales and our House Manager, in making my move and settling in as stress free as possible.
2 years on and I feel I must use this platform again to thank and publicly acknowledge our wonderful House Manager Tori Pallant and all the work she does to enhance our community living.
Nothing is too much trouble for Tori who always has our best interests at heart.
This has been evident over the last year particularly as we have had certain issues at TWP. These are finally being resolved but Tori's tenacity and dedication to achieve positive results endorses my view that she cares deeply for the wellbeing of all the residents here. I wanted to acknowledge this.
Tori is very proactive and always keeps us updated at weekly coffee mornings and via her monthly newsletters of events, activities and information completely embracing and delivering the concept of community living.
She also puts in her own time and effort into arranging regular lunches and other events herself to bring residents together socially.
Tori's door is always open. She is approachable, caring, compassionate, helpful and a good listener. She will always give you time and do her absolute best to problem solve within the realms of her remit.
I am so thankful to have Tori as our House Manager both for her professionalism and also her friendship. I consider her to be a huge part of our community "family", in fact the very heart of it.
I was and still am happy with my decision to move to TWP but having Tori as our wonderful House Manager is quite simply the icing on the cake.

I moved into Jacob Place
I moved into Jacob Place, Saffron Walden 5 months ago. We have a very energetic and helpful manager who helped me to settle in. I enjoy having my own flat and the opportunity to join in with the organised activities if I wish to. I particularly enjoy lunches in the Bistro when the conversation flows. There is a very happy atmosphere.

From our first contact with Deborah {Sales Manager} Jacob Place, Saffron Walden in late September to our moving in in early December we experienced nothing but friendly, professional and welcomed help throughoutn the whole process. The staff at Jacob Place have proved to be equally helpfull. friendly and caring meaning that we settled in very quickly and soon were able to call Jacob Place home. We were attracted to Jacob Place because it had space around it, was newly built and did not look like an institution but had avariety of styles both outside and in. We have subsequently found all the resdents to be friendly but unintrusive and the variety of activities available extensive. We are very pleased with our move.
