I was directed to this lot by Openreach/BT after they, or their contractors, erroneously demolished 10 or 15m of 25 year old, 2m high hedge. After filling in claim forms, providing photographs, and proof of my ID, I have heard nothing after 5 weeks, Today I learned that the BT claims have been transferred to Keoghs in Leeds.. I wonder why.

Currently going through legal process with their client Direct Line. DWF have consistently missed deadlines, gave inaccurate information and purposefully delayed correspondence as often as possible. Looking forward to getting to put this to them in person in court next month.

I pity anybody who has to deal with this shower.
DWF must be financially incentivised to avoid settling claims and making payment. DWF made things as difficult as possible with the aim of frustrating me hoping I would give up and disappear.
I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with these clowns following an incident with an Openreach van driver.
I must have had to contact DWF well over 15 times, despite messages left nobody returned my calls.
Somehow they even managed to never receive my email, how is that possible. Nobody takes ownership or shows any interest.
Matters only got resolved because I had to be proactive and take ownership. The only way things got resolved was by me “taking the bull by the horns”
Totally unprofessional, uncaring and awkward.

Despite having my claim reference BTP115013, please don’t give your standard response of saying you will investigate matters. Based on my unpleasant experience I have no confidence in your investigation.
Truly hope I never have to deal with these clowns again.

Absolute rubbish. Recieved an email from this company in my junk, contact telephone number on there. Rang multiple times on different days trying to find out what was going on, no answer, nobody returned my call. Ccj claim entered in the meantime so they were obviously at work and just ignorant. Now saying I have to pay the court fee even though the balance was paid before. Shocking. Wouldn't recommend. Also the company who I originally had the total outstanding haven't been paid by them as they keep sending me a reminder 😂 shocking.

DWP successfully helped us evict a difficult tennant.

I first became involved with DWF.Law in the summer of 2022 when they started legal proceedings to evict the tenants of a rental flat which I wanted to sell. The tenants eventually vacated the flat in April 2023, but left it in a terrible state, so we then had to attempt to reclaim the costs incurred in getting it back to its original condition. Up until this point Sloane had been my contact at DWF, and I always felt she was very professional and also approachable, responding quickly to my emails. From September 23 to July 25 I was passed between three different Dispute Resolution Paralegals to trace the tenants, issue court papers to claim the expenses, and when successful actually get the money. Although this started well, I felt in this period that I needed to chase before any action was taken. I have no experience of how long these things take, so I may be being unfair. However, in July 25 Sloane was back on my case and she has just informed me that the tenants have paid my claim in full. I am of course delighted, and actually quite surprised, as I had really given up hope of ever seeing the money. So over all, I am extremely satisfied with the way DWF (and especially Sloane) handled my case, especially given the result, but have deducted one star for the 22 months of slow progress.

DWF were very supportive over a long period trying to obtain tenant eviction, non-payment of rent, damage and replacement of missing items.
They finally managed to obtain an agreed settlement figure, which avoided court proceedings.

After a dreadful experience with 2 other legal firms, the DWF team were fantastic. The team were extremely professional and knowledgable and provided excellent guidance throughout the litigation process leading to a successful outcome. Communication was exemplary and a lesson to other law firms. I would have no hesitation in recommending the DWF team to any prospective client. 5 star service and especially in communication throughout - would have given 6 stars if it were possible. DWF Law were appointed by my insurers to deal with an end of tenancy dispute with my former landlord. I have been making regular monthly payments to DWF Law on the understanding that these funds would be passed on to my creditor, in line with the agreement. However, I have recently been advised by my creditor that they have not been receiving the payments, and as a result I have been incorrectly recorded as being in breach of my payment agreement. By doing so DWF Law have breached legal ethics and as a result the FCA and the SRA have been contacted.

I am so very grateful for the super excellent service from the day LEAH JONES of DWF took my claim over which had been dragging on for 18mnths elsewhere.

Avoid. Concerns include essential Data Protection.
An inept solicitor wrecked my personal online claim account by entering specific essential information into forms incorrectly. She called me in a terrible state of upset, desperately asking me to rectify the error. This was a shock for me, and it was an unprofessional, inappropriate thing to do. The same individual was permitted to conduct the case, and the next thing to happen was another unprofessional approach to saving essential data. Even after I closed the Claim, considering its foundation was now too rocky, it seems the solicitor simply could not understand the time frames and process. This individual is vexatious and the firm refuses to take responsibility for the personal offence, lack of expertise with data protection, and harm they caused. The Complaints team is pugnacious and unethical.

Please read until the end as the one member of staff deserves recognition for his work . We were passed onto this company via our insurance over 3 years ago , we have been passed about to a number of members of staff over this time , messed about and given other clients case information by mistake via emails , you name it they did it , until a guy called James Douglas took over and what a breath of fresh air and a credit to any company, he was efficient, thorough, he listened and gave us great advice, if I was scoring him alone he would get 5* the rest of the company we delt with let him down , we can't thank James enough for his hard work and great service .regards Dean

I had a car accident in October 2021 and the other side wanted to go to court. Nearly four years later on 12 August 2025 we arrived at court to discover that my witness statement was not submitted to the court. The decision was awarded to the other side.

I also can't believe that such a large insurance company would use such dreadful solicitors.

Would have given no stars if it was possible. They don't even acknowledge emails. Total incompetents. Sent me the most ridiculous letter and it was clear their 'investigations' were no such thing.
