Would have given no stars if it was possible. They don't even acknowledge emails. Total incompetents. Sent me the most ridiculous letter and it was clear their 'investigations' were no such thing.

DWF were appointed by our insurers and they were good to work with. I dealt with several people at DWF at different levels of the business, and they always dealt with me professionally and resolved issues and queries in a timely manner.

After 18 months, DWF came up with their final offer, this was only if I accepted it within 21 days! This felt like blackmail and if it is legal, it is surely is unethical.
I have asked several times for the full security video of the accident, but all I have received is a short edited version. Why! This should suely be kept whilst the claim is on going.
I am still under treatment for deafening Tinnitus, dizziness and shoulder damage and find the offer, not in line with the damage caused to myself.
I find it hard to believe there is no Ombudsman covering this company, but they say not!
My advice to everyone involved with a claim, is to find a no-one, no-fee solicitor and not deal with DWF directly.

Useless, their Glasgow Office never picks up the phone when you call them, even if you try all the different departments, and even the operator, and when you leave a message to get back to you as a matter of urgency, they never return the call.

Aviva let them handle the claim A drunk driver drove into my wall. The wall itself was had a public footpath next to it. So the wall was unsafe, DWF Was informed of this, but it still took a long time in dealing with my claim
I got the quotes they asked for, but then they turned around and said to me that the bricks which the drunk drive had crashed into could be cleaned up and reused which is an absurd idea. I spoke to my builders who gave me the quotes and they said it would be more cost With no degree of certainty how many bricks they could save which would result in extra costs than what they have first quoted for when I spoke to DWF they were still adamant the bricks be cleaned up and reused.
They are not very good at answering emails or picking up the telephone and I had to keep going for a aviva To tie and get my messages through to them it was embarrassing to say the least for a company to act like this
When I finally did get an offer it was £900 less than the lowest quote I refused then had to wait another week for them to offer me a goodwill gesture Which again I refused as they were adamant you could clean the bricks up. This whole experience has been stressful
If I could give them less than one star, I would’ve done

Not recommended for anyone

Replies to emails take several days. In fact, they have moved to being non-existent, which tallies with other reviews of affected individuals.
Glaciers move faster than this claims assistant.
Or perhaps this glacial pace is actually deliberate within your company?

I recently had the pleasure of working with Dan Kelly from DWF Law LLP regarding a legal matter, and I can't recommend him enough. Appalling company. Shockingly poorly written letters made us believe their demands for money were actually written by scammers, not a professional legal company. Their staff or "solicitors" forged e-mails to a defendant in response to a subject access request. The SAR was also responded to after the 28 days statutory time allowed (to reduce the time for the defendant to respond to an urgent legal claim against them). Their incompetence meant that their solicitors did not try to make reasonable contact with the defendant. To protect themselves they forged 2 e-mails pretending to have made contact. This means their demand for money had to be paid with no time for form N244 to be completed to defend the claim for moneys. This company has actually actively denied justice and perverted the course of justice.
Absolutely shocking and this will be reported, with appropriate evidence, to the SRA and will result in a civil claim against this company to recoup all of our costs.

Katie Ashton has been very helpful on a tenant dispute. I have rented my tiny Cabin in Devon to a person who has not paid other than her first months rent. Katie is very experienced on this however I think she is very snowed under with work. I wish you good luck Katie in trying to find this awful tenant in order to recoup my rent.
