I ordered a divan base and it stated…
I ordered a divan base and it stated that it would arrive in 3-10 working days. Therefore I ordered the base working out the latest date it would arrive. Customer service is shocking when I rang and asked why my delivery was late. They said it was in the warehouse waiting for scanning. Six days later no follow up regarding my delivery. I rang again this morning the phone just kept ringing when I finally spoke to an advisor to ask about the delivery of the divan base he just put me on hold after 20 mins I gave up.
My pregnant daughter was visiting and she had to sleep on the mattress on the floor. Not great! Do not plan for a delivery by a certain date as it’s likely the courier won’t deliver on time. I rang the company many times last week and sent them an email but no response. Dreadful!They should at least respond to my request regarding the delivery.

Regarding the delay itself, unfortunately there was an issue with the item being scanned into the courier's system, which is something that was outside of our direct control. We completely understand how frustrating it is to have planned around a delivery window, and we're sorry that on this occasion things didn't run as smoothly as they should have.
In relation to your comments about our customer service, we have to be honest and say that the experience you've described does not reflect the standard we hold ourselves to or the feedback we consistently receive from our customers. We have no record of things unfolding in the way you've described, and we would genuinely welcome the opportunity to look into this further if you'd like to reach out to us directly.
With regard to your daughter, we are sorry to hear she was inconvenienced during her visit. We do want to note that this wasn't something that was raised with us at the time, and had it been, we would of course have done everything we could to help. We aren't able to account for circumstances we weren't made aware of, but we do take all feedback seriously.
We are glad your order has since been delivered, and we hope you are settling in with your new base. We always encourage customers to come to us directly with any concerns, as we genuinely want every experience to be a positive one from start to finish. Disappointed but DBD has redressed with more inconveniences
Not happy at all with the service. I placed an order on 28/3/26 and they delivered on after 10 days but in damaged condition and asked me to accept it with damaged condition and to be exchanged in week time but has not delivered yet! They have now keep changing the scheduled delivery every other day and it’s so frustrating and annoying! Also other two items of the same order delivered after 25 days but at wrong address. Also main ottoman bed and headboard yet to be delivered.. an unexplained experience!
To add further the damaged/ faulty divan was scheduled to deliver on 23/4 , then they rescheduled to 24/04 and again they cancelled at last minute while I was waiting for them and then rescheduled to 25/04 and I made myself available at home by cancelling other commitments but they ( Furdeco) cancelled it again .. this has been so traumatic and painful since 28/03 and still ongoing… at Furdeco all agent keep misleading and lying about this over the phone .. I had requested call back 10 times from their manager but hasn’t heard anything!.. Divan based direct company chosen Furdeco to deliver my goods and saying that they can’t do anything about it!
21/05/2026 : Adding further my experience has been improved and I believe they had tried all possible ways to help and delay the good but unfortunately third party delivery partner has caused much delay!
So I now changed my reviews and given 3 stars as they deserve to receive it!

Unfortunately I got wrong impressions by believing in DBD but they’re not learning from their mistakes but they’re are meant for causing inconvenience deliberately to the customers! To redress my disappointment and long long delays in getting my products they offered ottoman box which was a rouged after few weeks but this box was cushioned entirely and has caused us injuries when any of my family member bumped then they get injured! I reputed to DBD but they only apologised and also offered some extra cushioning materials which never arrived since 16th a June but Mr J at DBD keep lies and misleading me that this will arrive next week and so on… I have all proofs if what I said above … please beware if this fake company who always lies and mislead people! If there was a way to give more lower ratings I would have done!! I will also this review on google where many people read my reviews! And DBD asked me to change the review, I said why , give me a good reason why I should change it?

From our side, your order has been progressing throughout, and your initial item was delivered within the expected timeframe. When a minor issue was raised, a replacement was arranged straight away and has been in progress with the delivery team since.
We completely understand how frustrating the changing delivery dates have been. These have unfortunately been due to repeated rescheduling from the courier, which we have been actively following up. We’ve shared updates whenever new information has been provided to us.
All items on your order are made to order rather than held in stock, which can sometimes affect timeframes depending on manufacturing and logistics. There were some delays in this instance, but the remaining items have been dispatched and are moving through the delivery process.
Regarding the delivery location, the order was processed and shipped using the details provided at checkout, and tracking information was shared so progress could be followed.
Your main ottoman bed and headboard are now on their way to you and should be with you shortly. We also accommodated the requested change to your order during the process without any issue.
We do appreciate your patience while this is being resolved and are continuing to monitor everything closely with the delivery team to ensure the order is completed as expected.

So so happy
I'd honestly never heard of Divan Base Direct, until my husband showed me the website, we were in desperate need of a new base, after ours gave up on us from years of use, to say I was impressed with the whole transaction from ordering our base to delivery is an understatement, I'm far beyond impressed!
The quality of the base is superb, I was skeptical when I realised how light the two pieces were, but that soon disappeared, we've already decided that in the future when any of the beds bases need upgrading we will definitely be looking here first.
Prices are fantastic too, which "joking apart" in this day and age is always good.

Good selection online, once I had ordered a follow up the day after to confirm delivery. Excellent communication from the delivery team, friendly and respectful of our apartment. Even delivered on a bank holiday. The base and ottoman are well made, sturdy and look lovely. Great job by all!

Really happy with my new divan
Really happy with my new divan. I had been checking the website for expected delivery dates as I needed it delivering on a specific day. When I placed the order I received a phone call with the expected delivery date but it was longer than expected. Explained my situation and the lady said she would try and rush things through. I chased it up a few days later and then received a notification to say its on its way. I was a bit concerned that it might not arrive on time but all was perfect and the delivery men took their shoes off at the door without being asked. 5* service thanks

Absolutely shocking
Absolutely shocking. Delivered broken, damaged, i paid for reinforced and it has none.
So cheap and lightweight i carried it upstairs alone. Cheap plastic feet supplied without rubber bottoms.
Corner of materials baggy, stitching terrible quality. Quite honestly my worst purchase yet

We’re unable to locate any contact from you regarding these concerns, and we’re always happy to help when issues are raised directly so they can be looked into properly.
In terms of delivery, no issues were noted at the time, which is usually when any concerns can be identified and addressed quickly.
The reinforced option relates to additional support within the base of the bed, which isn’t externally visible. All of our beds are manufactured using solid timber and are designed to be both durable and practical for handling and assembly.
The feet supplied are standard and include floor protection, and are consistent with what is commonly used across similar products.
All of our items are hand-finished and checked prior to dispatch. As we haven’t been provided with any images or further details, it’s difficult to comment specifically on the points raised.
We’ve been trading for over 15 years and process a high volume of orders each week, and situations like this are very uncommon.

Points to think about if self assembling.
Once assembled (by us) we were very pleased with the colour and quality. It fits our King size mattress perfectly. The drawers are spacious and come ready made up and in place.
We chose self assembly because we considered the prices quoted for assembly and even removing the thick plastic 'bags' and disposal of same to be on the pricy side.
The only snag we had was trying to fit the bars provided for fitting the bases together. Even with the metal clips provided to hold the two bases together whilst doing this kept dropping out. We got round this by actually screwing the bases together which has solved the problem and is working perfectly.
Overall a good product and recommended.

Fantastic! Headboard is high quality at a very reasonable price. The material we wanted was out of stock (confirmed after we placed the order) but customer services offered us a close alternative or to wait. We chose to wait until the fabric was back in stock and they kept us updated along the way. Highly recommend for customer service, value for money and the premium product itself. Delivery smooth, too.

Bed fine but wouldn’t buy again
Bed is good though messily made, which considering I paid extra for the better quality one is annoying. It arrived in filthy plastic which the delivery guys smeared all over my new carpets and walls, and is marked. I noted this when signing to receive it as asked, but had heard nothing from the company since.
Be aware the beds come with no build instructions, and take the maximum amount of time to make as is advertised.
All in all, wouldn’t order again.

A warning before you buy
Update: In response to what the company claim in their reply to this review - it was definitely Divan Base Direct. Their denial and refusal to take responsibility is typical of the dishonest way they operate.
The mattress we received differed considerably from the mattress pictured on the website.
Even the materials described on the mattress itself differ from the website description.
The company just fudged and denied - and communication was slow, vague, and at times disingenuous.
They insisted that the internal materials were the same - presumably safe in the knowledge that the only way for us to test this was to slice open the mattress.
Our efforts to arrange a refund were met with a demand for a 50% cancellation fee and a £60 collection charge.
Tired of the company’s attitude - and without a mattress - we accepted our bad decision and started using the product that was delivered.
The mattress that we now have has already started sinking - and in our opinion doesn’t appear to be of good quality at all.
We deeply regret this purchase.
