Comptoir Libanais Omdömen 

Ik kom hier al meerdere jaren vol tevredenheid maar gisteren sloeg in als een bom. Chagrijnig personeel. Een uur op ons eten moeten wachten. De mezze schotel die ik altijd neem was niet te bestellen want de ingrediënten waren er niet allemaal. Het ging allemaal zo vreemd nog nooit meegemaakt. Ik ga er even over nadenken of ik hier ooit nog wil eten! Zooo jammer!!

FESTIVAL TERRACE South Bank -Main meals chicken with green olive and cuscous was very poor. Small, a couple of pieces of chicken, no olives looked like a small bowl of gruel !! also Chicken salad very poor with little meat and awful salad mainly lettuce.
Two stars given for pleasant staff and nice desert (orange/almond cake)
I would not go there to eat again.

Great under £10 deal; Lamb kofta wrap with fries, garlic dip. Choice of drink; Apple, Mint and ginger separate purchase Very well prepared.

Lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious

The food was tasteless and our waiter was super rude to us and to the next table as well. I’d avoid mainly because of the poor treatment going somewhere I feel respected

I had a really upsetting experience at Comptoir Libanais (Stansted branch) yesterday. I had left my baby for the first time and after a very busy day I sat down for a meal and began to assemble my breast pump. I was about to attach it when the manager (Florin) appeared over my shoulder and told me that “this was not the place for that!” He continued “that is why we have family rooms” [in the airport]. I was so taken aback but I managed to say something along the lines of I am allowed to do this in public, to which he responded that he personally didn’t want to see it-it was not the place and would put the other diners off their food! I felt so humiliated and angry. As a breastfeeding mom, I have never encountered this treatment before. I am incredibly disappointed. I left the restaurant and cried.

Breastfeeding is a beautiful, natural gift that I am blessed to give to my children. I should not be made to feel like I am doing something indecent! It is my prerogative whether I would like to use the family room or not. That’s my choice, not Florin’s.

What happened here is illegal. Do better!

This is a must go whenever my friends and family visit me. Awa is one of the chefs there. Her presence, her vibe, her big smile, her positivity, and her savoir-faire are only a few on the list that I could feel and taste at the restaurant.
I went to three of them (Sloane Square, London Bridge, and Gloucester Road) in London. They are all beautifully decorated, with a warm and colourful atmosphere, very nice and friendly service, a good variety on the menu (for kids too) and the price is affordable. The dishes are well presented, tasty, and colourful but I will admit that the cocktails are weak.

We bought wine by app in November whilst deciding what to eat - was told then by server (In Exeter) that they didn't have the expensive wine we ordered but we could have the house and apply to HQ for a refund as they could not process it. 3 emails and 5 calls later and HQ still have not responded

Lively ambiance, food was ok but arrived tepid, lukewarm at best. Although most of what we went there for was off the menu - even Humous was not available!! Server was not very attentive, we had one drink that lasted 1 1/2 hours and it took ages to get served in the first place. The bill however, arrived at the speed of light! Don't bother with the cocktails they are a waist of time, weak and no flavour. The gin tasted a bit weird too! So altogether not a great experience on the food and drink side. Atmosphere lively and suited our event. Would we go again? Would not rush back.

We had a quick lunch at Stansted airport in this restaurant with kids. Their seating is very comfortable, staff seems to know what they are doing. One if the item had some meat not cooked to our normal taste, which the lady was happy to replace on a short notice. Very good service given that everyone is in a rush.
Baba ghanoush and kids meal was very tasty.

This is the branch in Blue Water. Outstanding service. Better still was every single plate of food we tried. Flavour over load. So much better than bland food everywhere else.

Food was okay .Charged me so much extra and their prices aren't cheap anyway. Disappointed

Good god, give me something bland. 4 out of 6 ordered a tagine, if you’ve been lucky enough to go somewhere Middle Eastern, don’t dwell as you can forget your Middle Eastern experience, a little bowl of meatballs arrived (no tagine) with your choice of couscous of quinoa. At £18 surely you inject some flavour even if artificial.

I forgot to have breakfast before donating blood at Westfield. No restaurants were open at 8:30 in the morning, vendors were setting up. Shahid at Comptoir Libanais showed me unimaginable humanity, he prepared me a dish of humus, even though they weren't open. He also offered to support me during my blood donation, going above and beyond the call of duty. I am a life long customer because of the way Shahid treated me.

Ooit eens een cursus in Utrecht gevolgd, waar we voor lunch hier mee naartoe werden genomen. Vandaag moest ik weer in Utrecht Hoog Cathrijne zijn en kwam ik er weer voor lunch; werd vriendelijk ontvangen door een lieve jongedame en heb een heerlijke falafel salade gegeten. Het enige dat ik minder vond is dat het eten sneller voor m’n neus stond dan de koffie die ik had besteld (die had ik graag tijdens het wachten op mijn lunch gedronken i.p.v. lauw erna). Kleinigheidje, wellicht kunnen jullie er iets mee.

We had lunch at Comptoir Libanais restaurant in Southbank (my husband and two guests) and I was utterly shocked at how unprofessional the staff were. The service was extremely slow and also the quality of food was unacceptable. I ordered the lamb kofta tangine and it was dry and tasteless.
When we asked the waitress for more information regarding ingredients in a dish (due to an allergy) she did not know what B-road beans were or whether the dish contained them. She did not even try and find out. We ordered a jug of sangria and water and having waited a long time for the glasses to be brought to the table, the waitress only brought four glasses to the table, assuming that these glasses would be used for both water and sangria.
Lastly having specifically requested a special table we were placed by both the toilet and kitchen which was far from what we imagined for a special occasion.
Unfortunately we had a really dissapointing meal and we would not recommend this place to others.

Lovely experience at Shepherd’s Bush. Ahmed Ali was charming and very courteous. The food delicious as always and were very happy with our lunch.

Went here last night after a previous great experience but sadly disappointed. Felt really awkward ordering a drink when the person serving us didn't seem know know what was on the drinks menu. Order the set mezze menu. Starter was brilliant and tasty but they came to tell us our mains where ready when we were only half way through. Asked for more time and got a really shirty look. Main course was then thoroughly disappointing. Didn't match the high quality of the starter. Chicken was dry to the point of inedible. After rushing us initially it took a while to clear and then got so late that we had to leave without having the tea and desert included in the set price. So ended up being £60 per head for poor service and not great main course. Kind of wished I had said something at the time but didn't want to make fuss. Won't be going back.

Following my son's graduation ceremony during the day, we visited the Birmingham branch in Grand Central. The restaurant wasn't busy and seats were available right at the entrance or at the back. Not comfortable with the suggestion of being seated at the front we requested to sit near the back of the restaurant. This was met with a grumpy shrug by the waitress. Following this awkward start, we were then left to a much friendlier waitress, who admitted to not comprehending certain behaviours within the establishment.

The meal was tasty and portions were generous. Bar a traditional tea my son ordered. It wasn't quite to his liking and he couldn't drink it. The ambience was a delight and we were genuinely enjoying our experience. We also discussed returning in the future with friends.

Unfortunately, this sentiment didn't last long. Near the end of our meal, my son decided he would like to order another drink. It suddenly seemed impossible to get the attention of anyone. Having forcibly stopped two waitresses as they walked past our table and requested the drink, we found 10 minutes later and no drink. I walked up to the bar and queried where the drink had got to. At first I was ignored then the barman rudely replied he has other drinks to do for other customers. So I turned to the waitress, who was just hanging around the bar. She made reference to a large group who are expected any moment and flatly told me they cannot serve us another drink. What?! We had spent a considerable amount on our order thus far, clearly it meant nothing.

When I requested the bill they came to our table within seconds! The originally friendly waitress, took payment and I made a comment about the treatment we had received and disappointingly her demeanour followed suit with her colleagues.

Totally perplexed as to the attitude of the people in this restaurant. What a shame. Needless to say that we will not be returning or recommending to anyone!
