Terrible Customer Services
The Product itself works quite well, however the app isn't great. I needed some new bags, so clicked on the how to on the app, got directed to the website and the bags. Unfortunately, the link directed me to the wrong bags for my unit even though they are fundamentally identical ( it doesn't recognize the bag). I contacted customer services and highlighted the issue and requested they send replacement bags. They refused saying I'd need to return the bags purchased and kind of intimated that it was my fault for buying the wring bags! They still haven't fixed the link in the app and I'm dreading if the unit actually has an issue as the CS is slow and unhelpful! My advice is to stay clear and buy a Shark!

Bought an 205 robot in april 2026 there is no one day that i tried to use the robot without encountering issues, the robot just stopped working randomly, shows 37% charge even when charging on the dock, gets noisy like a car when is overheating and do not able to operate with Google assistant, reset it two times already and worked for a day and went back to not responding again, I contacted I robot several times and they keep asking same questions, I sent all they ask for with videos but after the send emails asking the same all over again, the phone help is just as bad as the email help. I’m on the que on the phone as I’m writing this review for 27 minutes now, I would not recommend this company as if problems arrived they just keep playing with you in circles!
Update: phone call the lady told me they have not received my emails or videos but on my phone showed as sent!
Evasive customer service…
The vacuums are prone to not following instructions and can either sit there, stuck but wheels still turning damaging your floor & carpet. Their customer service is deliberately evasive, they keep sending you in circles with their lines of questioning, repeatedly over a period of months as it takes so long to get a response. Constantly asking the same questions, serial numbers, date of incident, photos etc. All of which they already have. It's a deliberate attempt to tire you out so you give up.
The robot was great value for money
The robot was great value for money. Delivered on time and does a good job

I am absolutely appalled by my experience with iRobot and their so‑called customer service.
I bought a Roomba in July 2025, spending hundreds of pounds on what I thought was a premium product. Within months it became faulty and has been effectively unusable for a long time. Six weeks ago I contacted iRobot, well within the warranty period, expecting a prompt and practical resolution.
Instead, I have had no meaningful help whatsoever. I’ve been asked repetitive and irrelevant questions, and despite following all instructions, the robot still does not work. I’ve had no repair, no replacement and certainly no refund. The end result is that I am stuck with a very expensive product that simply doesn’t function, and a company that appears entirely unwilling to rectify the situation.
For a £500 device, this level of service is completely unacceptable. I would strongly discourage anyone from buying from iRobot until they start honouring their warranties and taking responsibility for faulty products.

Defective product, misleading support, and zero accountability — avoid unless you're willing to fight for a refund
We purchased an iRobot device and it failed on the very first use — it simply would not clean, displaying a persistent "bin full" error despite normal conditions. This wasn't a case of getting used to a new product; it was clearly defective out of the box.
We reported the fault immediately through the iRobot app, assuming this was the right way to raise a support issue. What followed was deeply disappointing: the app responded with generic FAQ replies and no actual support, effectively stalling us past the 28-day return window. This feels deliberately designed to exhaust customers before they can exercise their right to a return. By the time we realised no real help was coming, our return window had closed.
We have since attempted to resolve this through multiple channels — direct communication with iRobot has been evasive, inconsistent, and frankly exhausting. The only time we received any meaningful response was after posting a public review. That speaks volumes about how much they value private customer complaints versus their public reputation.
We have now escalated to our bank to pursue a chargeback, and iRobot has still not engaged constructively — leaving us with a defective product we cannot use and a company that will not collect it. Legal action may be the only remaining option.
Warning to prospective buyers
If you buy an iRobot product and experience any issue at all, bypass the app entirely and initiate a return immediately — you have 28 days and the clock is ticking. Do not trust the in-app support system to resolve your issue in time. If you miss that window, getting resolution becomes an uphill battle.

Does not hoover very well. Leaves bits all over the floor. Floor excessively wet when mopping. Not satisfactory at all.

Roomba Mini - Frustrating Setup
A very frustrating initial setup. This is not for people who cannot setup a dedicated WiFi SSIDs for it.
Virtually all modern devices including IoT (Internet of things), are able to associate with dual 2.4/5GHz WiFi band steering WiFi with WPA2/3. The Roomba Mini will not (this was confirmed when support eventually emailed me back). If the perspective buyer uses, for example, a Sky router - you are out of luck. I was fortunate that my APs allow multiple SSIDs and I could setup a dedicated SSID - 2.4GHz, WPA2 ONLY.
I work in IT - do not rely on support to guide you through setting up a WiFi router.
Just also had a frustrating time with first line support - Mini would not resume intensive cleaning after charging properly - no idea.
Cannot setup new routine on iPhone app - have to use an iPad.
It does work reasonably well, just extremely poorly executed with an obvious lack of user acceptance testing.

before purchasing I spoke to the customer service team to help me choose a product. They said that if I wasn't happy with my purchase I would be able to return it within 30 days so I went ahead and bought a Roomba Max 705 Combo robot+Autowash dock. I was excited for my order to arrive as I had been looking at getting one for a while. When it arrived I was very disappointed as it came without a UK plug. I got in touch with an agent fairly quickly and they sent out the correct plug. Upon using the vacuum and mop for a few days, the vacuum has got blocked and the eror code took lots of attempts to clear on the dock, it has mopped the whole rug in my hallway, scratched my kitchen barstool bases, rubbed along my 5 month old 100% wool living room rug and now I can see threads on the sides along with mopping the edges from when it leaves the tiles to the rug, leaves great big clumps of fluff all over the place every time it vacuums, and theres a message on the app that says my Roomba needs a fix and to click on a link to confirm my address for what I presume is a spare part - the link does not work. Needless to say I am not happy. I have tried to email, online chat (advisors pickup the chat and as soon as I say I want to return the product they instantly leave) and currently I'm on a call where I've been waiting for 40 minutes to speak with an advisor.
DONT buy this robot. the customer service is absolutely shocking.
Do not buy an iRobot product
Do not buy an iRobot product, they are dreadful and their customer service is abysmal. Our vacuum constantly needs resetting, continually needs to empty itself even though it is far from full and gets stuck in open space.
When you contact customer service they do everything they can to stall and frustrate. They ask the same questions over and over, ask for photos and videos and then blame you for the location of the docking station.
CRAP, CRAP, CRAP. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

Zero stars. They sent me a faulty unit to replace a faulty unit. It's now been over seven months since I asked to return the faulty unit replacement and CS have been a nightmare of false promises and failure to follow procedure. I was their biggest fan for years this is disgusting treatment over a unit that cost me almost £1K and I am likely to take them to court --- AVOID THEM.

I purchased Roomba® 105 Combo Robot + AutoEmpty™ Dock and for a while it was a great addition to the house, however, it randomly developed a lidar issue and gradually just stopped working. To say getting in touch with customer service was a nightmare would be an understatement. Their contact number does not work, they take ages to respond to the emails and even though I responded to them in a timely manner, they said otherwise and closed the matter!I have been trying to resolve this issue with them since early Feb and they’re still requesting pointless things and just delaying matters. PLEASE REFUND MY MONEY AND TAKE YOUR PRODUCT OR REPLACE MY MACHINE!!

The Customer Service maybe the worst in the UK, ordered on Saturday, they closed at the weekend so I called on Monday at 9am to try to cancel the order and get a better more expensive one, the person told me is not possible to cancel the order and get the newer model, even the order is not processed yet. Ordered a dreame and will return the IRobot when they dispatch and deliver. 😡😡😡

iRobot 505 Combo
I bought an iRobot 505 Combo less than six months ago and started having problems within the first few weeks. It never connected properly to the app. From the beginning, it kept flashing that the dustbin needed emptying error, even when it was empty. I replaced the dustbag, but the problem continued.
Then the robot started malfunctioning during mopping and left my floors soaking wet. Unfortunately, I left it running overnight once, and this caused damage to my wooden floor, so I stopped using the mopping function and only used it for vacuuming.
About a week later, one of the mop pads came off and the robot stopped working properly altogether. Since then, it has basically been unusable and has just been sitting in the room.
I reported these issues months ago and escalated the complaint, hoping for a refund or replacement. Instead, the process has been extremely slow and frustrating. Customer service is often out of reach, and when they do answer, they ask for more details and photos. Then I hear nothing for weeks. When they finally respond, they often ask for more pictures again. This has been going on for months with no resolution.
After reading other reviews, I can see that many people have had very similar problems with both this robot and the company’s customer service. I wish I had read the reviews beforehand and done more research before buying this product.
I’m very disappointed, both with the quality of the product and, even more, with the level of customer service. At this point I feel stuck with a faulty robot and no clear solution. If you are reading this review, I would strongly recommend looking into other options.

I’m extremely disappointed with my iRobot Roomba J7. It’s not even 4 years old and has already stopped working completely due to a “technical error 65.” For a product at this price point, I expected far better reliability and longevity.
After struggling to get through to customer support, I was told the device is out of warranty—so essentially, tough luck. Their solution? Buy a new one. As a “gesture,” they offered me a 5% discount because I’ve been a loyal customer. Honestly, that felt more insulting than helpful.
No real attempt to troubleshoot, no goodwill repair, no meaningful support—just a push to spend more money. If your product can’t last even 4 years and this is how you treat repeat customers, I see no reason to ever buy from iRobot again.
Very poor experience all around.
