DO NOT hire this company!
I've never had such a terrible experience with a company – we had paid for an entrance for 5 people with a tour guide included (which was not cheap at all).
We were completely fooled by this company, as they had confirmed everything and we already had tickets with a specific date and time. When we got to the door, we found that our order did not even exist – after around 20 minutes of trying to contact them about our case (their customer service was not useful at all and did not give any help), we had to leave without getting into the visit or our money back.
We were told to send an email to the general customer service to ask about the reimbursement, as by phone noone could help us. After doing this, we got no assurance that we would get our money back.
This is a complete disgrace and it ruined a main part of my family's trip – I will make sure this comment appears in as many platforms as possible to show this company is a complete scam and to prevent other people from making the same mistake.
If we do not get our money back, we will carry out legal actions against this company. A company like this should not exist.

As a response, I must say that it was my mistake to believe the entrance included a tour guide -- the tickets were purchased by my father, and as they were much more expensive than the actual ticket, I guessed it must've included a tour guide. I should've imagined that it was just another way for this company to take more money from the consumer.
However, I will not accept this company making me (as well as the other customers who have reviewed the company equally) look as if this issue was our mistake and not theirs. As a travel company, it was your responsibility to hire the service or notify the client about the cancellation, and you did nothing. I will not continue fighting with this company because it has been proved to be useless, but I hope this at least will save other people from hiring their service or at least looking more in depth before considering hiring it.

Hello, as you can easily verify online our service does not include a guided tour nor a meeting point and all our contacts are stated online too (since you have emailed us twice and called us once). Also the confirmation policy is indicated online, which says that the visit was subject to reconfirmation by the museum. We are sorry for the inconvenience occurred to your visit and we already have asked "Reserve with Google" (the platform you have used to reserve and pay the service) to fully refund you, as immediately told you by email. thanks for your feedback: we remind you that we are an online agency and our fee is part of the amount you paid as customer; of course you were totally free to not accept the final price we gave you choosing another way to reserve your visit. We're responsible for not giving you a service worth 25 years of work in this sector and for that reason we have immediately started the full refund process - as normal when we do not respect our high level standard of work, but we definitely are not responsible if a customer misunderstood the info.

terrible experience. I booked and payed tickets for Rome, but upon arrival, the tickets did not work. So I want my money back, They do not even answer a proper mail. Do not go to this company!!!!!!!

Poor! They are ignoring us.

Poor! Failed to send voucher. Failed to return attempts to contact them. In Oct, under my wife's name, we ordered tickets for the Sistine Chapel. Got the confirmation email but not vouchers. Sent email to them for help with no response. Called them but they were closed over the weekend. A month later never heard back and had to cancel the charge on the credit card.

A great tour

Federica our guide was very good and she was really living the history of Palazzio Vecchio.
It was very nice to have her explanation about life in the place.

Vorsicht überteuerte Karten

Ich habe 2 Eintrittkarten für die Uffizien in Florenz für den 25.09.2019 vorreserviert und auch problemlos erhalten. Während wir am Einlass zur Galerie dann doch anstanden fiel uns ein großes Plakat auf in dem die Galerie zur Vorsicht beim Kauf von Eintrittskarten über Drttanbieter mahnt. Die Karte kostet offiziell 20€ + 4€ Vorreservierungsgebühr. Ich habe für die beiden Karten 57,50€ bezahlt, was eine "Bearbeitungsgebühr" von 9,50€ ergibt. Das halte ich für absolut unangemessen.

Zugang zu den Uffizen - Stand September 2019
Ein Zugang mit elektronischem Ticket ist nicht möglich. Diese müssen am Schalter 3 (mit Warteschlange davor) in ganz reguläre „Papiertickets“ umgetauscht werden! Selbige kosten z. Z. 20€/Erwachsener.
Vorgang:
Über „Booking.com“ bei „Weekend in Italy“ Tickets für 2 Erwachsene geordert. (Kosten 28,75€/Erwachsener) Sehr schnell Email von „Booking.com“ mit PDF als Anlage erhalten. Dort die dicke Überschrift: „Ihre Tickets – Eintritt ohne Anstehen in den Uffizien“ Eine Irreführung! Wie sich später herausstellte ist dies weder ein Ticket und man muß sich sehr wohl in die Schlange vor Schalter 3 anstellen.
Unter der dicken Überschrift die Buchungsbestätigung und darunter in einem Rahmen ein QR-Code mit Beschriftung „Gruppenticket“ gefolgt von Datum/Uhrzeit des Besuches. Zusätzlich der Preis. So sieht in der Regel ein elektronisches Ticket aus, wie man es kennt!
Darunter eine Bestätigungsnummer und ein PIN-Code für den Kundenservice.
Darunter in deutlich kleinerer Schrift:
„Wichtige Informationen
Der Betreiber wird Sie kontaktieren, um Ihnen die offizielle Eintrittskarte per E-Mail zukommen zu lassen. Ein Zugang ohne die offizielle Eintrittskarte ist nicht möglich.

Der Betreiber hat tatsächlich eine Email gesendet, die so aufgemacht war, daß sie im „Unbekannt-Ordner“ landete und dort übersehen wurde!

Die ganze Aufmachung wirkt wie ein elektronisches Ticket, auch wenn im „Kleingedruckten“ was anderes steht. Für mich ist dieses Vorgehen eine bewußte Täuschung in betrügerischer Absicht. Juristen mögen dies anders sehen. Hoffentlich kümmert sich mal der Verbraucherschutz darum.

Vor Ort haben wir erfahren, daß in letzter Zeit häufig Besucher mit diesen „ungültigen Tickets“ erschienen sind.

Zusammenfassung:
Auf „Booking.com“ werden Tickets für die Uffizien angeboten und beworben, mit denen ein Anstehen vor den Verkaufsschaltern überflüssig sein soll. Aufpreis = 43,75%!
Diese Tickets müssen vor Ort in normale Tickets umgetauscht werden. Dazu steht man in einer anderen Schlange an.
Nach Bezahlung erhält von „Booking.com“ eine Mail mit einem PDF-Anhang. Dieser ist aufgemacht wie ein elektronisches Ticket und zusätzlich mit „Gruppenticket“ bezeichnet.
Im Kleintext der Mail steht dann, daß man noch vom Betreiber kontaktiert wird. Dessen Mail mit der man ein reguläres Ticket erwerben könnte, landet im Unbekannt-Ordner und sieht wie eine Spam-Mail aus.
"Booking.com" verweigert eine Rückerstattung!

hello, as many times told and wrote you, you received the voucher for your visit several days in advance. the confirmed hour was different from the requested one for 90 minutes (accordingly with the terms of sale you specifically approved before buying). you didn't open the voucher you received and discovered of the difference just in the morning of the visit: we hardly understand how we could be responsible if you didn't check the voucher in advance. however, we refunded you the price of the ticket

Make sure you read the fine print. I have asked to have my booking put a day later and mind you this is a month away and due to their strict policy they do not alter or refund. Well that was a big fat waste of money. I only booked it last night. So angry. What kind of company can not change a date for you. Just lazy

Don't book tickets with this company…

Don't book tickets with this company (Weekend In Italy / Weekend a Firenze). They could mess up your schedule. They promised to send tickets within 3 business days but I didn't get my tickets until the day before my tour. I booked a tour to Vatican and Colosseum at 9:00 AM on May 29.
I got conflict tickets of 3 PM and 5:45 PM. I had to stay in the long line and pay for the Colosseum ticket again at the window.

Weekend in Italy Scam don't use this company.

I booked a tour for the colosseum to visit in June. I booked it in April. I am still waiting for confirmation and the voucher. I booked early to insure that I would get the date and time I wish to visit. This is not the only tour I plan to take in Rome. I regret booking with Weekend in Italy. They do not reply to emails and they do not confirm in a timely manner. Their customer service is non existent. This is a scam. Do not book with this company.

Terrible company.

Terrible company.

I booked the ticket for uffizi museum in advance on 6th May to go there on 14th.
But after payment, they sent me a mail that the date and time was not available.
And they suggested another date and time but I didn't satisfy that. So I told them other day.
Then there's no more answer!!
Now I can't see uffizi gallery and I don't know how I can refund my money.
Because they never reply for my question!
They took my money.
If the company see my review, please just get my money back.

Awful customer service and unreliable

We booked tickets for the Colosseum with Weekend in Italy (through Expedia) weeks before our trip and received an email saying our trip had been booked and confirmed. However a few weeks later, we received a message from Weekend in Italy saying that they actually were sold out that day, despite the fact that they had already taken our money.

I informed them we only had one day that we were able to see the Colosseum, to which there was no sympathy just them stating they would refund us (which we still have not received).

We are visiting on Easter Sunday, hence why we booked so far in advance to ensure we could see this amazing site. Now everything is fully booked. Hugely disappointed, we have very limited time in Rome and now will be either spending hours queuing or have to forfeit seeing this amazing site.

Bad value Grande Museo del Duomo

Conditions of 72-hr pass to visit Florence’s cathederal and associated sites very poorly explained. Customer not able to trigger the start of the 3-day period after all, by initiating a visit to one if the five sites. Response from the “help” email was anything but. Best AVOIDED. Same pass available cheaper, directly from the cathedral ticket office with no need to queue. This website doesn’t offer any added value, and takes the tourist’s money without offering any service.
