I had recently rented a property in Lincoln and Patricia from UK student houses was to show me round the property. She did a fabulous job by guiding me throughout every corner of the house, sending me the forms right on time even outside of her working hours. Great service team.

She explained every detail to us. Though we had a lot of silly doubts she just never irritated and gave her best to us.

The staff at UKSH and Patricia have been very nice and amazing to deal with. From answering general enquiries to viewings catered to my time to working around their contracts and requirements around my comfort are a breath of fresh air to see in in this new landscape of Student Accommodations. Usually when dealing with Student Accoms, there's a sense a corporate existence that taken root, makes you kinda suffocated but not at UKSH. It felt like I was renting a home rather than the cold outlook I usually get from other Student Accoms. With excellent communication and nice cheery attitude from the staff, it's a no brainer I signed with them. You shouldn't hesitate as well give them a call.

We Are Kin property is located in one of the best locations in Leicester. Less than 48 hours after my first inquiry, I received my tenancy confirmation and paid my deposit. Even before my visit, the administration staff impressed me with their promptness and friendliness in handling the inquiry. Excellent team and a fantastic property!

Phoebe was very knowledgeable and had answers too all of my many questions.

Do not rent with this place. Just dont.

Would not even rate half a star mg daughter moved in sep 2023 and has had mice mould in the house lost lots of items due to this situation and, has, affected her studies due to lack of sleep and, anxiety i have called at least 6 times sent alot emails and still situation is not been sorted and no one seems to have a direct contact for a manager for a complaint. I feel very sorry for anyone who has to deal with this company and i wont be leaving it untill my daughter has got what she is owed for her losses.

Absolutely horrific company that lied stating the property would be re-done prior to our moving date only for us to move in and have a plethora of issues. They place student homes in dangerous parts of the city with no regard for student safety. Their app to unlock your house is faulty and fails constantly making it so you cannot enter the property. Maintenance turn up with no warning and after viewings bedroom doors and front doors have been left opened. Overall worst house I’ve ever stayed in with a terrible company and customer service.

moved into our house, looked entirly different from our viewings as it was “renovated” over summer

this “renovation” left us with no working cooker and a moldy fridge with broken shelving, lights hanging off of the wall, and a maintenance team that would enter the property when they wanted without warning…

THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO ANYTHING, and complaints about wellbeing, livability, anything broken… nothing

our house didnt even get finished with renovations we where told would be done within the first few weeks of moving in…

they clearly hdnt started until we got there, and maintenance was in and out if the house until after christmas!!!!

We still have UNFINISHED and BROKEN parts of the house nobody has checked

Lately, our fire alarm system broke and goes off 3-4 times a day… everytime they say someone is coming to view it, no one shows up

The maintenance team at We Are Kim were great with resolving a pest issue and ensuring it remained an issue no longer, in very short notice. Chris specifically was amazing help in making sure my room was safe and protected again, and was willing to help as much as was needed.

Joe from maintenance was a great help and was patient with me and helped solve my problems in a respectful way.

Where do I even begin… WeAreKin is undoubtedly the worst letting agency that I/ We have had the pure displeasure of renting from.
On moving in we already faced a multitude of issues, including broken light bulbs and extractor fan that might as well not be there, which clearly had been the reason for the vile amount of mould around the ceiling and bathtub, which has continued to grow due to the lack of attention after reporting. Speaking of mould, there was a concerning amount of mould on my bedroom window, which I don’t hesitate to state is right next to the head of the bed, obviously being the reason I had a chest infection and multiple illnesses that wouldn’t seem to go away! In addition to this, my bedroom was also victim to damp and water stains, which eventually after 3-4 months of persistent reporting and a visit from my chartered surveyor, who informed both them and me that there was undoubtedly a leak within the toilet waste drainage system that ran through my room working its way down into the carpet on the floor, they decided to investigate. This ‘investigation’ led to them finding a contractor who was then ripped out 2/3 of my bedroom and found dry rot creeping its way through the plasterboards, infesting the whole bedroom and making it uninhabitable until renovations had been done and the walls were treated and replaced. However, WeAreKin yet again let me down, what a surprise, after not being in my room for 2 months due to its inhabitability they offered me a flat both by myself and a drive away from my friends and housemates, adding to my anxiety about being in a new city and starting my university course.
shower, causing damp and water stains on the walls in yet another WeAreKin property, meaning I was unable to shower in the property they gave me forcing me to move back into my original house and back into sharing a bedroom and bed with my housemate.

Another unbelievable experience which is inexcusable and shows the pure incompetence of their maintenance team is the mice problem which began in November 2023 and is continuing to affect us as I am writing this. WeAreKin obviously believes it is acceptable for us to live alongside unwanted rodent roommates, even after multiple reports with still no end to the problem in sight. We have come face to face with multiple rodents running around not only the communal areas of the house but also in the bedrooms, making not one room in the house pest-free and safe to be in, as well as being forced to clean up their faeces and dead bodies when they curl up and die under our beds!

To continue on, our back gate broke in one of the storms at the end of 2023, revealing our back garden and back door to the whole of Kensington, which isn’t most well known for being the safest area in Liverpool, and who knows what else, this problem has been reported on multiple occasions and is still yet to be fixed by the now obnoxiously useless maintenance team.

And to make the situation even more stressful and immoral on WeAreKin’s behalf their so called ‘kin keeper’ will let themselves into your property without notice and without announcing themselves and maybe if you’re lucky they’ll walk into your bedroom while you’re half awake at 9am like they have done to us to ‘fix’ a reported issue!

To top it all off, they make sure not to provide any emergency contact information, leaving us feeling helpless in the face of these never ending issues, not forgetting to mention the countless times that we have been locked out of the house due to poor iLOQ systems and have had to wait for another housemate to wake up or get back. We have also ended up locked in our rooms due to the inability of the kin keepers and staff to fix door handles or god forbid spend the money to replace them.

Even while all of this was happening the profit driven company was still booking viewings for new prospect tenants as there was no way in hell we were signing another tenancy for this mice and mould ridden den. Seems like they’re just another company trying to con naive and unaware young adults so they can charge extortionate prices for not even the bare minimum, law required housing.

Oh and beware, if you want to make a formal complaint about your experience, don’t even bother because it won’t be passed on to the hire up, it will be ignored for months until yet another employee leaves the sneaky and conniving company then it will be made another employees problem which they will fail to take seriously and try and offer you a lousy £250 off your rent!

In summary, if you value your sanity and basic standards of living, steer clear of WeAreKin, the money grabbing useless agency, at all costs! They are the epitome of incompetence and neglect, and no tenant deserves to endure the nightmare that is renting from them!

Possibly the worst company to rent with at all! Unresponsive landlords who left many people with no heating all the way through winter, they tried to resolve this by giving me a dirty electric heater which had smoke coming out of it the second I turned it on, when mentioning this I was told I must’ve got it wet which I didn’t. people constantly letting themselves into my flat for maintenance unannounced whilst I was in bed and allowing people to view my property without even telling me. Any maintenance issues are flagged as being sorted when they never are, I asked for my tc to be fixed and instead they took my microwave? The main front door was open for months and not once did they come to fix it,leaving a massive safety risk for us all, the only emails they send back are about your upcoming rent, genuinely the worst company ever you’d be better off homeless, they are currently threatening me with a CCJ as I left the property even though they never finished off my contract and where going to leave me with no property from the end of June, truly appalling please DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY
