Useful platform for connecting with students and communicating with them.

VIPTutors has been very helpful and has given me lots of opportunities with new students that I would’ve never come into contact with! I really appreciate their support.
I have a few areas of feedback. The first is that whenever I email VIPTutors operations, I never get a response. I understand that most of the communication is done on the platform, but when I have a question or concern that doesn’t involve a student or assignment, I expect someone to be able to help me with it.
The second is that I think we should be a little more upfront with students on the expectations of tutors with editing assignments. A tutor should never be expected to write or completely rewrite someone’s written work. The clients should understand that their written work should reflect what they want to write, how they write, and their own information. The tutor can help rewrite sentences to improve structure and offer guidance with the content, but it is very dishonest for the tutor to be asked to write something completely new for a client, especially without knowing the client’s background, interests, etc. VIPTutors should refrain from putting tutors in this position and tell the client that it is not morally right to pay tutors to write an assignment and allow clients to put their name on that work

I really enjoy working for VIP Tutors. They are very clear at communicating, provide me with lots of job opportunities, and the pay is very reasonable. It is also very exciting to have the opportunity to work with students from other cultures. The only issue is the website takes a little bit of time to get used to. But once I got the hang of it, it was easy.

I've had an amazing experience with VIP Tutors - they are responsive, caring, and considerate. I highly recommend this special opportunity for anyone who enjoys making a difference in the lives of fellow students.

I have had an unpleasant incident with VIPtutors as a tutor myself; they had a referral scheme for a while and I recommended my friend, however they never gave me the bonus I was promised (she ended up working for them - many assignments). I kept chasing them for almost 3 months, having occasionally been ghosted. After receiving my last instalment, I decided to end my collaboration with them. Very low transparency or support in this!
Another thing they could improve on is the pool of clients (i.e. students). I had assignments where I was helping students go to Oxbridge, but most of the times (more than 2/3) they didn't know the basic concepts on the subject they were applying to, or why they wanted to study it in the first place! I often asked about having them screened before hand and never got a reply (not even to say "no").

The VIPTutors team is truly amazing! They are always cognizant of time differences and try their best to accommodate and reply to any questions/comments/concerns that may arise as time progresses. They always try their best to be the “middlemen” to ensure the satisfaction of both the tutors as well as the clients. The reason why I put down a 4* rating as opposed to a 5* is because there would be times where information is lost in our group-chat for correspondence, or perhaps where messages are misconstrued passing it from tutor to student or vice versa.

VIPTutors handles all the boring, undesirable adminstrative aspects of tutoring, meaning I benefit from engaging in the most enjoyable parts: the teaching itself!

By writing this review I'm making myself identifiable to the company, but I feel it's important to voice this.

When I signed up as a tutor, the only assignments they sent me were writing essays for students to submit under their names. This is academic misconduct and plagiarism. I emailed several times asking why they thought this was acceptable, and while they were quick to apologise for sending me assignments that I found unsuitable, they never once explained why they faciliate plagiarism or apologised for hosting this type of assignment at all. Clearly, they don't care about ethical conduct or else they would have swiftly apologised and promised not to accept requests for essay writing. It's not good enough that they just won't send me those jobs - they shouldn't have them at all.

As a result, I've terminated my relationship with VIPTtutors. If you are a tutor who values professionalism and has a moral compass, do not work for them. Even if you don't engage in academic misconduct personally, you're risking your reputation by working for a company that does.

I've been freelancing for VIPTutors for going on seven months now and it has been superb. All the scheduling duties have been smoothly handled by the remote team, leaving me able to focus on engagement with some really bright, driven, and passionate students. It sometimes feels just like studying with a friend! Payment has always come swiftly and accurately. I would most heartily recommend VIPTutors to both students or prospective tutors.

From the tutor perspective, VIP Tutors has been one of the most impressively organized platforms I've worked with. Other platforms rely on random strands of emails and messages. VIP communicates clearly and quickly through consistent channels. They also are flexible with rates, courses, and workload.
