My kitchen floor flooded this morning one call was excellent with understanding but the follow up is plumber very poor not very urgent expected better

** Saddlers Chase, Doncaster 16th September Update **

After a previous home fell through due to damp, problems with the roof and other costly issues I decided to go down the shared ownership route.

As a first time buyer the houses on the market didnt seem like places I could move into straight away without having loads of problems I cant afford to fix! Plus much smaller and not much space to grow into for a family in the future.

The process with Vico Homes so far has been straight forward, quick and Rachael Hills is quick to answer any questions, arrange further viewings and so on. It has been a breath of fresh air and has really taken away a lot of stress about the whole buying process. The house was reserved quickly and a £200 fee paid to secure the house. We're not at the end of the process yet, so will keep this updated but so far so good.

Was skeptical about using Metro Finance (their broker) but found their service invaluable too as they know which lenders are best for shared ownership and your circumstances. They placed me within an hour for a AIP, so if youre umming and arring whether to then I'd reccommend them. They work with people with good credit too, so a broker isnt just for poor credit which I originally thought.

We have yet to move into our new home, but when we do ill update this review 😊

Are the housing managers/estate officers blind or purely ignorant, about a year ago when they came round the water ingress issue & movement of the walls/ceiling was verbally reported, nothing no follow up was done

I contacted Vico Homes because I had a bad smell coming from around my sink and washing machine and asked for someone to come out and investigate where the smell was coming from. A man attended, took one or two of the pipes apart, put bleach down them and then put everything back together. Unfortunately, this did not solve the smell at all.

I then ended up with a leak and had to try to sort the problem myself. I have two children, so I had to wait until they had gone to sleep before I could properly deal with it. When I took everything apart, I found that some of the parts underneath the sink were rotted and needed replacing.

I’m extremely disappointed because this should have been picked up when someone came out in the first place. Instead, the problem was not properly investigated or fixed, and I was left with an additional leak and had to try and sort it myself late at night.

It feels like Vico Homes are more interested in budging jobs along and getting them ticked off rather than actually solving the problem properly. I shouldn’t have to dismantle my own plumbing to find out that parts are rotten and need replacing.

I have two children and enough to deal with without being left to sort out problems that should have been properly dealt with by the repairs team. I would expect Vico Homes to properly investigate the cause of a problem, replace any damaged or rotten parts and make sure the repair is left safe and secure.

Jobs shouldn’t just be ticked off — the actual problem needs to be fixed properly.

Trades people never use over shoe protectors and walk all over carpets with outdoor shoes

This company is doing well in providing shelter to everyone who needs accomodation and not only that, it responds to calls for repairs and all that is needed for a person to live comfortably. We are proud to be Vico tenants. THANK YOU VICO HOMES
