Huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders!
I would highly recommend ‘UK Virtual School’.
My 2 girls age 6 and 7 years old have been with them since October 2020. And they absolutely love it!
They wake up everyday looking forward to their daily routine they have with the school.
The teachers have been wonderful and very patient. They allow the children to express their feelings. Which gives them confidence to speak up if they don’t understand a topic.
I’m quite impressed on how the teachers can communicate with the children on different levels.
The lessons do feel like my children are walking into a classroom each day but instead it’s in their own comfort of their living room wearing whatever they want.
We love how small the classes are so the teacher can actually focus on each child’s needs.
They currently do Maths, English and a few social club sessions with UK virtual School. Arts, crafts and public speaking. They love doing them all.
We love how the school is different, in the way you get the last week off every month. So we can plan and do something as a family without us worrying about their schooling.
The admin team have been amazing. I signed up my girls quiet late in the month but they still managed to get them all registered just in time for the new month.
They are really quick in responding to your enquiries.
Thank you UKVS for being affordable and offering a service where we don’t need to compromise our children education. All the best 👍

My daughters has been with Uk virtual school for 8 months. She really looks forward to her lessons. The tutors have all been amazing in helping her progress.

Impossible can be possible,
Homeschooling for my daughter with Uk virtual school was an awesome experience. They deal with individual differently although they are working in a group. Their skills to make it real even in virtual environments is commendable. Looking forward for more session for my daughter in future.

You have nothing to loose & everything to gain
We had a trial month for our daughter age 11. She has been with another online school for a little over 2 years but once Covid hit the school became so big and overwhelming. UK Virtual School are so so different. There she is a person known by name and not just a number. They are very understanding of her needs and most importantly of all she is happy and really enjoying it. It really was the best move we made for her. All kids are different with different ways of learning that work for them but if you are reading this you must be a little interested so I’d say definately find out more.

UK Virtual School helped us tradition into life as a Home Ed Family
During the second Lockdown at the start of 2021 we decided to enrol our three boys (13,10 & 9) into UK Virtual School. I was concerned that our boys hadn't had consistent schooling due to the pandemic for nearly a year and felt we needed to create stability as soon as we could.
The onboarding process was swift and affordable and within 2 days we had the logins for live zoom lessons for the core subjects (English, Maths & Science) for boy. The online platform was easy to navigate and the homework simple to download. The boys very quickly settled into their new online school life. We started with daily live lessons for the primary age so they did maths/english every day and science once a week. This was great to get us started during lockdown. As things have eased and we can go to in-person Home Ed activities we have changed to the 1 x week 1 hour lessons for the core subjects which can be watched on demand too. This has been a great addition to our Home Ed curriculum.
Our eldest son (13, Y8) had some extra tutoring in Maths because after an assessment we noticed some gaps in learning from Y7 (first lockdown). He does English & Maths 2 x a week online (1 hour each lesson) and 1 x for each science (Chemistry, Biology & Physics). He is in a mixed class with Y9s and I feel his attention and application of work has thoroughly improved since joining UK Virtual School.
The younger two have also joined some social clubs online which allowed the boys to really get to know the other students.
Overall we have found our experience of UK virtual school a very positive one. The boys look forward to their lessons, they never complain and are attentive for the duration of the time. The admin team are quick at responding to any queries and Syd, the Founder is warm, engaging and a real authority on how to do online school well.
The three week rotation with one week off each month is genius. We now plan our holidays around this instead of following the school terms. This means we dont have the long stretches of holidays (although we will take the whole of August off). This is great for me as a parent running my own business as I plan my working life around 3 weeks on & 1 week off. No longer needing to pay a fortune for childcare during long school holidays.
We were brand new to being a Home Ed family and I found UK virtual school to be a fantastic support and resource as we transitioned out of the traditional school environment.
We do supplement our learning with other resources and activities but knowing we have the core curriculum being taught by professionals takes the pressure of my shoulders. The teachers are great at giving feedback and I really appreciate the small classes and how much they know about how my boys think & work.
I am really proud to have my family part of UK Virtual School & I'm in awe of how Syd created a whole infrastructure to service families during a national crisis.
