We have been attending UK virtual school for almost a year now. We came to the school a little lost with Education and we were given reassurance and support from the very first enquiry. Syd, founder and head, is a caring dedicated lady and her staff echo that with their profession and nurturing presence.

This school is a real find. Educating kiddies and supporting their growth.

I found this school while looking for the alternative educational options because the school was not a right place for my child.
We tried the Science Week first, and what we experienced left us wanting more. My child loved everything about it: the teachers, students, activities, atmosphere, inclusion and the sense of belonging that never left him since day 1 of Science Week. So, I enrolled him on a Fast Track course that started in January 2025. By the end of the academic year, he has fully caught up with the school’s program.
I was a bit sceptical at first about how is it possible to teach a child over the internet. I can now testify that the teachers are very competent at doing it and that their lessons are very engaging. The access to the recorded lessons is hugely helpful. The lessons are broken down into smaller steps - something that we appreciate a lot. There is also a recorded homework explanation and an option to contact a teacher if more help is needed.
I like the flexibility around the ways of learning - recorded lessons, live, or a mixture of both; I like the 3 week cycle as it allows time for reflection and rest. In addition, it is possible to choose the right year group if necessary.
UKVS transparency and dealing with the problems are next-level. The virtual school is very student and family oriented. The friendships are also possible! I’m glad we found this school - I can not think of a better place.

We joined UKVS in year 9, with our daughter lacking in confidence and belief in herself. Fast forward to year 11 and she’s a completely different child - I cannot tell you how grateful we are to have found UKVS. Her teachers are wonderful, the support for families is next level. My daughter is thriving and reaching way beyond her old physical school predicted grades. We pay for live lessons and she gets on so well with her teachers and peers. We’ve also benefited from some 1-2-1 lessons. A great bonus is that we can access the lessons afterwards via a recording if she needs to go over anything. I can’t recommend UKVS highly enough. (From a mum who had no idea how to navigate home schooling 2 years ago!)

The best schooling experience I and my child have ever experienced. Started y6 through to y11.
Teaching standards are 1st class. Teachers are enthusiastic, fun, happy, kind, and a pleasure to learn from. The head of the school is an amazing entrepreneur with a passion for education and the kindest heart I can’t recommend this school enough, they go above and beyond for their students and families giving a private school quality education in a world school environment with flexible lessons accessible for everyone from everywhere be it home, holiday, travelling.

Choosing this school has been genuinely life changing for my daughter. She is thriving in a way I never believed possible.

Her academic progress has been outstanding, with strong mock results that truly reflect her ability. More importantly, her confidence and self-belief have grown enormously. She is happy, motivated, and proud of herself something she never thought she would feel about education. The school has completely unlocked what she is capable of, and they do so with care, patience, and genuine belief in their students.

The teachers are outstanding. Their passion is evident in everything they do, and they consistently go the extra mile to ensure students don’t just learn the content, but truly understand it. The teaching here is exceptional.

If my daughter had remained in mainstream school, I honestly don’t believe she would be the happy, confident young person she is today. I was initially worried that home schooling might make her more withdrawn, particularly as she struggled with social anxiety. Instead, the opposite has happened. Because she is succeeding, her confidence has flourished, and she has developed her own tools to manage and overcome her anxiety.

We found this school online after exhausting all other options, and taking that chance has paid off beyond measure. I am incredibly grateful to everyone at UKVS, and I would especially like to thank Ebraheim, her Physics teacher. Physics was her weakest subject, yet through consistent support and regular knowledge checks to embed learning, he is transforming her understanding. It is very clear that the teachers here want students not only to learn, but to understand, enjoy, and thrive.

Elizabeth, my daughter’s English teacher, has unlocked a real passion for the subject. It is now without question her favourite, and I am so incredibly grateful for the support, encouragement, and enthusiasm she brings to every lesson.

While my daughter doesn’t take part in all of the enrichment opportunities, I am simply grateful that she will leave with five strong GCSEs. This is something I fear she would not have achieved in a mainstream setting, where she felt invisible and valued more for statistics than for who she was as a person.

This school has given my daughter confidence, achievement, and a belief in herself that will stay with her for life. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

My sons age ten and thirteen have been attending UKVS for one and half years.
The teachers email every term to update me on the boys progress and what they need to work on.
They are professional and caring and the boys love them.
since joining UKVS i have seen my boys excel in their academic learning and confidence.
If the children miss class they have the recording of each lesson so they never miss out on the lessons.
I have homeschooled my children for almost five years.
It’s been a huge relief for me since they joined UKVS as i was struggling to keep up with their studies.

Everything about this school is great. My son is incredibly happy. The teachers are amazing, kind and actually teach. My son is learning much more than he ever learnt at his busy secondary school. No stress ... Fun, engaging lessons. Very caring and professional admin staff. Very efficient. Not a single complaint or worry. We started in August 2025.. only wish we had started sooner. Our daughter had been with UKVS for a year now and there honestly aren’t enough words to express how grateful we are.

We wanted to home educate but needed support to ensure she got the best education and to also take some pressure off of us a little. And boy did we find it in UKVS.

We were honoured to be invited as a family to the annual graduation in support - a week away in historic and stunning Scotland. It was a memorable trip bursting to the seems with love, laughter and joy. Syd and her staff blew me away. As did the students and their parents. So affable and inspiring. It’s not often I wish for my holiday to continue, but such was the company. An excellent school with super talented teachers and students that enrich so many. If you’re looking for alternative provisions for your children’s education - look no further. UKVS is ace.

Very professional and innovative approach. The staff is brilliant and supportive. Our son was going though changes (moving from the UK to another country) and this school was the only constant for him that kept him going. He met wonderful classmates as the small number of pupils in class allows for deeper and more meaningful connections. Also, the small classes allow for the quality interaction with the teacher for progress and comprehension. We are grateful for this school as not only did it allow our son to “survive” the move, but it built his confidence in his studies and communication skills with peers and teachers.

The last 2 years with UKVS have been noting but close to perfect. It has been a God sent and what it's done for Chloe, and even myself, and being able to see her personality shine through on a daily basis has been incredible. You've helped bring back her confidence in ways I don't think she even realises, but are so obvious to me.

She is definitely going to miss UKVS, this wasn't an easy choice, and who knows, she may decide to come back, and if you have space, well, then we'll be back on board.

My son (year 5)really enjoyed his time at UKVS. Our circumstance changed which means we're having to leave UKVS. The big stand out were the teachers especially English and Maths and the multiple additional subjects on offer such as programming or learning a foreign language such as Arabic, which you don't get in traditional schools or even independent schools at this age. I thank the staff at the school and highly recommend it to anyone wishing to begin a journey of home education

Our son really enjoys learning with UKVS. He loves his teachers and is excited for every lesson. I was impressed with how easily and quickly he learned to read in English - and that's on his phonics teacher! :) Currently, his favourite subject is Art - it's a super creative and fun class. We're definitely staying with UKVS for next year!

This school has genuinely changed our lives. We went from having a child that could not find her place in school; she was unhappy, had experienced bullying which crippled her confidence and had retreated into herself because of her experiences. Now, after almost a year of being in UK Virtual School, she is thriving! Her confidence has come back in herself, she’s very happy, she loves the work, and the teachers. All I can say is, I am so thankful this school exists!

UKVS has been a great experience for our daughter who cannot attend her mainstream setting. The staff are exceptional! The teachers are very friendly and accommodating to a child’s needs and made our daughter feel comfortable straight away. Syd is great and the admin staff are very responsive and have dealt with any query very quickly and efficiently. The flexibility of being able to choose the number of subjects is great and fits with our needs perfectly. The small class sizes are fantastic and really help our daughter to engage and participate in lessons. We would highly recommend UKVS! We did the taster week to start with and our daughter wanted to start immediately after!

We've had a very positive experience with UK Virtual School. The live, interactive lessons and small class sizes have been a great fit for our child.
