We would be lost without UKVS. It has brought so much ease into our homeschooling without "giving up" on the homeschooling. UKVS is unlike any other online school. You have the professional experience of teachers blended with so much joy and warmth which is lacking in physical schools.

The flexibility is unlike any other we have tried. The best thing.... my children are learning and love learning with their teachers. They have connected and made friends with children from around the world. I have been homeschooling for 14 years and have found nothing like UKVS. It's brilliant.

A great alternative to mainstream school. My son really enjoyed his time here. The teachers and Syd the founder are all really approachable. Lessons were delivered online and really engaging. They also have fun short courses in a variety of subjects. I highly recommend UKVS.

Since our 13 year old son joined the school he has progressed in so many ways. He loves this way of learning. The teachers are all fantastic, they bring the best out in the children. There are short courses which are great fun, a common room where the children can get together and make new friends and lunch clubs.
The founder Syd, is really switched on and very approachable. All the staff are very helpful and get back to any enquiries quickly. We love this school and highly recommend it.

Since enrolling my daughter in September in to year 9 we’ve had a fantastic experience with UK Virtual School. The hybrid course format has worked exceptionally well for us—having the flexibility of recorded lessons combined with one live lesson per week strikes the perfect balance between structure and independence for our daughter. It allows her to work at her own pace while still benefiting from regular interaction and guidance plus accountability.

UK Virtual School has small class sizes and cameras are on for the live lessons. This has really helped my daughter form good relationships with her teachers. The teachers are engaging and take the time to understand each student as an individual and she is now becoming more comfortable in asking for help.

Another highlight is the founder Syd. She is incredibly hands-on and approachable—you can truly see that she cares about the school and every student’s experience.

Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our choice.

My two children have really re engaged with learning, they love the whole package which is a combination of live lessons, 1:1’s and recorded content.

As a parent it is important to be able to have open and honest conversations with staff members who are teaching your children. This happens at UK Virtual Schools, and when improvements can be made on feedback given they strive to make changes. We are looking forward to the new software platform for September 2025. After a turbulent time jumping between Elective Home Education and mainstream school, struggling to homeschool our daughter we reached out to UKVS and subsequently enrolled our Daughter in October 2024.

I can honestly say that it is by far the best decision that we have made regarding our daughters education, I only wish we had done it sooner. She is now settled in a routine, working towards her GCSE's at home but within a classroom environment.

The teachers are great, taking time to explain, giving students individual attention when needed. And Syd, the boss lady, is really approachable, providing solutions to our individual needs. Thanks UKVS.

We have been at UKVS for 9 months now and we love it. Our daughter is 12 and was struggling to attend school due to her anxiety.

It really is a school that thinks differently and we love the teaching and the content. It is engaging, fun and nurturing. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Syd and the teachers really want the children to flourish.

The highlight of our year has to be the Greece Residential Trip. I think it has to be one of my top holidays. Everything was arranged meticulously. It was like traveling with family. We made some wonderful friendships adults and kids alike.

It was a wonderful fusion of culture, my two favourites being the Culture Hunters Escape Athens challenge and seeing the Acropolis. We then did some wonderful sightseeing and had time to relax in Santorini. Climbing a volcano, seeing the beautiful town of Oia, and swimming in the hot springs. Cannot wait to hear about future trips…

It was also so lovely to meet Syd, Andromachi and Elizabeth. It really felt as though we had know them for years. Our son attends mainstream school locally and they were so welcoming to him and treated him like part of the UKVS family.

What an amazing school. We are new to home schooling and we don’t really know what the expect. Blown away by the support and the teaching offered to our 14 year old. We are really excited to see how well she does with the school - my prediction is she will achieve far more and be happier at UKVS than in her last school.

My experience with UKVS was amazing! The staff, administration, and funder of the school, Syd and the teachers are one of a kind. I have been in UKVS for two years with my three children, primary and secondary, and the details of the school's investment in education are very admirable. The teachers are my favourite teachers so far. My son is studying at a tennis academy and it makes keeping up with his school work extremely challenging but Syd and her team have done all they could to help advise and accommodate and I am thrilled with our experience with UK virtual school so far

I would like to leave a review about our school where my daughter has been studying since 2021, now she is in fourth grade. The first remark concerns the level of teaching and the depth of knowledge acquired. English teacher Helen uses excellent academic English, her lessons are easy for her daughter to master, and the volume corresponds to the British curriculum. I like the way she teaches the child and her approaches. The math, science and art classes my daughter takes are different from the same subjects she takes in national school. It is very important to me that she studies within the British curriculum, because in a few years she will have to take GCSE exams. She is interested in studying these subjects at United Kngdom Virtual School and she asks me to buy these courses for her every year. An absolutely amazing course in Positive Psychology, probably it was even more important and interesting for me than for my daughter at 9 years old. She and I constantly return to the materials of this course. And finally about the price. In Kazakhstan, studying in such an online school costs twice as much. In other online schools in the UK, I was not satisfied with the timing of classes, the inflexibility of the schedule and the inability to choose the right subjects or the large number of students in the class.

Absolutely brilliant school, game changing lesson about things that will actually help my children in later life, plus a great way to halt bullying and misbehaviour, the staff are wonderful, caring and helpful, love this so much

Absolutely love this school. The teachers are lovely: engaging, enthusiastic and very skilled at fostering warm, professional relationships despite the ‘virtual’ nature of the classroom. You can opt for as many or as few subjects as you like/need and the pricing makes it excellent value for money. We’re having to leave for now (with a very heavy heart) but I won’t hesitate to enrol my daughter again, should circumstances allow.

UKVS was exactly what we were looking for. Even though we are living as expats in a totally different time zone, the one-way classes are perfect for us. It allows us to fix our own schedule while still having the support and feedback from teachers when we need it. My daughter LOVES the classes especially the worldviews which has taught her so much about the world, including geography, history, culture, religion and traditions. The 3-week-on-1-week-off routine means we have that extra week to catch up and then take a couple of days off either for travelling, enjoying hobbies or diving in to some home projects. UKVS is a tailor made class which follows your child’s ability, not age, which means the classes are always interesting and engaging. Can you tell I am happy with the process? Haha. 5/5, 10/10!

My son loves his teachers and classes. He is homeschooled and has had several teachers over the years but with UKVS is the first time he actually looks forward to every class. I highly recommend!

This school has quite literally changed our lives! Our son was really struggling in mainstream school and was not learning anything. He lost all confidence and his anxiety was affecting his physical health too. UKVS fosters a culture of acceptance, a sense of community and positivity in everything they do. Lessons can be ability appropriate rather than age appropriate if that suits your child's needs. ( It did for us!). The class sizes are kept small. The staff are all warm and friendly and communication is excellent. My son is excited to learn because the lessons are fun and engaging. This school is superb value for money and there are lots of options if you are a home schooling family.We cannot thank Syd and her wonderful team enough. Everyday is a happy day now and as a parent you can't ask for anything more!

UKVS have been hugely helpful in supporting my son to access some education while he's not been able to access school for health reasons. They have a much more flexible offer than their competitors making them a great choice for families such as ourselves or those looking to support home education.

We joined with UKVS is June this year and I’m so glad we did! My daughter had been struggling with mainstream school for a while so I eventually took her out in January 23. We tried a few different websites etc for lessons but after a few months realised she needed more structure. My daughter had a Google and that’s when we found UKVS. From our first conversation with Syd we knew this was the right choice for my daughter. Communication with all staff is fantastic and they actually seem to care and listen to what you say. My daughter is now enjoying her English and maths lessons which I never thought would happen! Thank you all😊
