I had a terrible experience with this company, still ongoing and can’t seem to find anyone reasonable to talk to, and I can't stress enough how disappointed I am. They took our owned linen for cleaning and never returned it. To make matters worse, they charged us for workwear that we never received. Their customer service is lacking, and it's nearly impossible to get any resolution. I strongly recommend that everyone stays well clear of this joke of a company. Save your time and money!

Si mon avis peut vraiment influencer votre décision, j'aurai servi à quelque chose.Ne signez aucun engagement avec Elis, ils mentent pour vous faire signer, omettent de vous dire des informations importantes sur le contrat, car force la signature immédiate car ils vous promettent des arrangements et promesses qu'ils ne tiennent pas ensuite, alors que nous ne voulions pas signer car trop contraignant, mais les solutions proposées étaient satisfaisant es, mais ils ne les ont jamais appliqué es. Annonce des passages, alors qu'ils ne viennent pas. Et dans les échanges ensuite ne respectent même pas leurs écrits, contournent toujours, ils ont toujours une excuse ( non valable bien sûr - vacances, maladie) et nous par contre, nos raisons à leurs yeux ne sont pas justifiées. Comme le technicien qui ne descend pas de son camion, sous prétexte qu'il n'y a pas de lumières, donc déduit qu'il n'y a personne, ne se dit pas je vais descendre et frapper ou sonner.Un grand regret, ne pas avoir lu les avis GOOGLE avant sur cette société. I nearly got hit by one of your drivers (DC23 OES). The guy is a danger on the road. When I asked him why - he said he didn't care and wished he had hit me. He then went onto say he didn't care if he lost his job. Do everyone a favour and get rid of him.

We have been using Elis for 2.5 years now. We have had no issues with them. If they have to change a delivery/collection they will let us know in advance. The drivers are friendly and know what they are doing on site.

I posted last week on the treatment received after being involved in a traffic accident whilst driving for Elis. A reply was quickly posted by Elis "we are so sorry for your experience but our HR team are aware and dealing with your case"
I have been off work with accident related issues since 02/01/2025 I am now receiving no money of any sort and have a 22 week wait for an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon. I am being financially ruined because this "EMPLOYER OF CHOICE" does not have adequate insurance cover for anyone driving their vehicles and they certainly do not have any sort of morals.
Great Service & Value. Our account manager Hayley is brilliant in maintaining the account and keeping things on track. So impressed we are happy to agree our workwear contract for the next 2 years.
Signing a contract with Elis is quick but. Once the paperwork was done with their rep, Stephen, he disappeared – never to be seen again (only every emails never calls). When issues arise, Elis don’t try to resolve them fairly. Instead, they act as judge, jury, and executioner, slapping you with surcharges rather than working with you.
The contradiction is staggering: they say it’s impossible to check everything they send out, yet claim they can 100% identify every single item you return and insist that every piece is checked. If that were true, why did they try to charge us last month for another hotel’s laundry misusage? Clearly their system isn’t as flawless as they claim.
Overall, the service is poor, the support is non-existent, and the customer is always the one who pays.
Oh well, not much a little hotel can do.

Hayley is an absolute gem—proactive, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything runs smoothly. No request is ever too much trouble, and her communication is always clear, friendly, and fast. She’s made a real difference to our operations and is a credit to the Elis team.
If you're looking for a workwear provider that combines top-tier products with world-class customer service, Elis—and Hayley—are the gold standard. Highly recommended!
The Elis Merton branch provides an excellent service! Deliveries are always on time, and the service team – especially Angela and Paul – are super helpful. Our account manager, Liam, is friendly, responsive, and always makes sure everything runs smoothly. He has also helped improve the quality of linen and reduce rejects. Overall, very reliable and professional.

All good never ever issues would recommend all day long
Horrible company. They incentivised us to sign a 3 year contract promising cheaper rates and a better service. Unfortunately I lost my business and they continued charging me for months even though I wasn’t using their service. I had to pay over £2,000 for exit charges as well as residual charges. Disgusting company.

I would never recommend Elis Laundry Services in Wakefield.
Signed a contract 4 years ago, and for the first year I never received invoices, despite contacting my account manager numerous times, however nobody ever got back to me. By the end of the year they issued me a full year’s bill, expecting immediate payment. As a small business this was far from ideal but I paid large amount in, instead of the monthly invoices I should have paid.
The year after this appeared to be happening again, and after several months it was discovered that my invoices were being issued to a completely different resturant. To which I only found this out after the other restaurant got in touch with me to inform me they had been getting my invoices for the last 18 months. Extremely frustrated I called my account manager, who was very apologetic, so I decided to stay with Elis. Big mistake!
A year later they were missing both deliveries and pick ups, yet charging me full price for services. After 100s of phone calls and emails, my account manager provided me with up to date invoices for a year, which I paid in full, and advised them I wanted to terminate all services with immediate effect and have the keys to my premises returned. I still don’t have confirmation of contract termination or my keys returned, and this has been the case since the beginning of the year. Elis don’t appear to be able to figure out who is doing what to terminate services/contract in order to return my keys.
I have never seen such an incompetent company and I don’t understand how they can run a business this way.
I would not recommend getting involved with Elis, Wakefield in any way

Elis Durham have supplied our workwear for about 3 years now and we have just renewed with them for another 18 months.
Deliveries are always spot on and if we have any issues or queries; both our driver Stu and our account manager Daniel are easy to get hold of and happy to help.
The quality and pricing are perfect for what we require and the repair process lets our guys on the shop floor keep their overalls safe and useable for longer.
5 star review for our lovely delivery driver Mark (who covers the North Cumbria area). He’s absolutely fantastic - we’re gutted that he’s going to be moving to another area with Elis shortly, thank you so much for all your brilliant service.
