Terrible Customer Service
We have ordered dresses from this company for our daughters’ school events and recitals, never requiring a return. I have recommended this company as a result of my experiences purchasing dresses and not requiring any further service.
Due to these very basic orders, I continued to purchase from Trish Scully by buying my eldest daughter’s communion dress from there. Having read the notice from Trish Scully that this particular dress we were interested in purchasing could take 4-6 weeks to ship to us, we purchased it a month and a half before the communion. We checked the size chart to make sure it was the appropriate size for our daughter, and placed the order.
We tried it on our daughter a couple weeks before her May communion and noticed that it was a little large. The next weekend, when we finally had a free moment, we took it to the seamstress to see what could be done. Given the material and design of the dress, she said, we could not make the alterations necessary to make the dress fit my daughter appropriately. Because of this, I ended up rushing an order from Trish Scully for the same dress in the smaller size.
I am a mother and educator working during the pandemic and was lucky enough to have had a moment to figure this all out before her communion. May and a couple weeks of June passed before my school year ended and, immediately, I emailed Trish Scully to let them know that I had the dress, unworn and still with its tags and original packaging, and that I wanted to know how I might return it.
I was told that I could not, given that the return policy was 15 days. I explained that the sizing was off; I even purchased and rushed a smaller-sized one from their same store. I reminded them that we were still in the middle of a pandemic and that we were so busy; but that I understood and would take store credit, especially because my youngest daughter will have her first recital and communion next year. I also mentioned that the only reason I ordered so early was because of the potential 4-6 week delay in arrival date.
We exchanged emails and the store said they would not complete any kind of return, regardless of anything I said.
This store may try to tout a luxury product and experience, but their customer service is anything but that. Despite being a loyal customer, the fact that I had bought the same dress from them, that this was an insanely busy year to be a parent and educator, and that they are STILL selling the SAME dress AND I had our first dress in completely perfect shape and untouched, they would not work with me - not even for store credit.
Beware of this company, especially if you may need any type of return. It’s obviously ok for them to not send a dress for potentially a month and a half, but you will only be offered a strict 15-day return policy.
(Even though they said, if you had tried to return it in March - when we ordered it - or April - before her even in May - they would have allowed for a return. Ridiculous, unsympathetic, and simply, poor customer service.)
Very disappointed
Super disappointed in this company. I specifically requested that the dress be shipped before my daughter's birthday and ordered it about 10-11 days in advance. They shipped it quickly, and I was hopeful it would arrive on time. I kept tracking it and saw that it had been sitting in FedEx warehouses all over PA, etc., and it arrived the very next day after my daughter's party! It was a theme party for which I was specifically hoping to get the matching dress. I haven't even opened the package yet because of how disappointed I was but it's fair to say - I'll never be shopping here again.

Buyer Beware! Zero Stars!
My delivery NEVER arrived, yet Trish Scully refuses to help in tracking down the "lost" shipment. They have kept my $135 and I have a sobbing 5 year old. Their products may or may not be worth the money, but they will not see any more of mine! I should have checked this company's Better Business Bureau reviews...of 35 reviews in the last 2 years 34 are 1 star, with everyone complaining about "lost" packages that customer service refuses to help with or make right. BEWARE!!! Don't do business with this company!

Shop elsewhere. I bought a dress, headband, and suit on 1/29/21 - three months before my children’s first communion. None have arrived despite the fact that I was told that certain items were being shipped via Fed Ex express or would be shipped shortly. My order still states “awaiting fulfillment.” I understand that items tend to run late during COVID, but they never gave a straight answer or tracking information.
When I posted about my experience on their Facebook page, they called me a liar, touted their excellent customer service, and said I didn’t have an order with them (I did under my married name). I couldn’t respond because they then deleted my comment and blocked me from posting (READ the reviews - they do this frequently!). Completely unprofessional to defame your customers. You’d think you’d know better after 23 years of being in business.
This company is a scam
This company is a scam. I purchased a dress online and when it came it did not look anything like what was advertised . The belt was hot glued together . Hot glued !!!! Someone sowed across the zipper so you couldn’t zip it up. It looked like something a first year student put together who was leant into to sow. It’s awful. The reviews seemed good on there site until I realized they write them or only keep the 5 stars. I wrote a negative review about our dress and it’s never been posted . After review I realized I’m not the only one . I have asked numerous times for a return label so I can return the item for a full refund and they have refused . After multiple emails and calls they said I can return the item for a restocking fee but they will only give me store credit why would I want store credit for junk. No I want my money back so I can go to a real store and buy a dress for my daughters first holy communion .
Beautiful products
After reading these reviews I was so scared I would never see my order but in the middle of the pandemic it took 8 weeks to get to me which is understandable and the items I ordered where BEAUTIFUL, outstanding! Amazing quality (I purchased two crowns) i ordered from Australia. I’m a very happy customer and I couldn’t find anything like these crowns in the entire country.
I love this company and their dresses
I love this company and their dresses! They've recently started posting more on their Instagram page and giving us a little glimpse of their business which I really appreciated! I ordered the charlotte dress + a tiara and unfortunately, my rose pinned was squished so I reached out to their customer service email and they sent me a new one right away! These bad reviews confuse me! Maybe they were trying to get a prompt response from a small family-run business during their peak seasons... parents perspective please!!

Buyer beware
Buyer beware. Their standard prices are never real - they basically jack up the price and always have it on sale to deceive customers that they are receiving a higher price item than in reality. Also they do not offer exchanges - so make sure you child is comfortable wearing something that doesn't fit right if the size isn't perfect because if you choose a refund, you will be out of pocket $30 ($10 initial shipping, $10 to ship back, and $10 restock fee). CRAZY! Given we live in a world of shipping now. This is the last dress I plan on buying from them!

I have 7 total dresses and two headbands/crowns from the Trish Scully site out of California. I absolutely love all the dresses and my daughter loves them even more. I received the first two as gifts and thought the quality was great and my daughter absolutely loved the dresses, so I personally ordered 7 additional dresses (2 dresses I gave her for her birthday and 5 dresses I am saving for Christmas and her birthday next year) and two crowns/tiaras. I feel all the dresses and crowns are of great quality. My daughter has been wearing two of the dresses for months and they are still in great condition. Two of the dresses were given to my daughter more recently but they still appear to be a great condition. I just wanted to give my review because I am not sure why there are so many bad reviews on this site. These dresses really are quite beautiful and well made. Additionally, I felt I experienced a very smooth delivery. I received an email shortly after I ordered indicating they would be shipping out and then I received the package a few days afterwards. Great purchase and experience all around. I really encourage people whom are interested to purchase a dress from Trish Scully (California).

I just received the gorgeous dress I ordered for my little one to wear as a flower girl . I ordered it less than a couple weeks ago and it’s beautiful! I also ordered with it a crown that looks very real and super heavy duty , not flimsy. I will write a new review after the wedding on how the dress holds up :) thank you !!i will certainly be ordering again
This company has great dresses
This company has great, soft dresses for children. The dresses come flattened in a plastic bag and it seems that the quality is less so than it was a year or so ago. They are a great quality item for the price point in the US. Less so in Canada. Customer service has been responsive each time I’ve contacted them. I’ll shop here again. As for the reviews about late shipping- don’t order something you need during a pandemic online, it may not come in time and that is simply not the retailers fault.
Great dress but bad shipping choice
I order 4 dresses from this website and was completely satisfied with the dresses. I purchased 4 of the "Bella Rafaela Dress". Three in white and the other in butterscotch (which is a tan color). I was super pleased that the dress was just like in the pictures. The fabric does feel a little cheap for the price it's being sold at but over all I'm happy with the dresses. Costumer service was great, the only real way to get in contact with them is via email or through their live chat. They changed my first order I had placed for the Bella Rafaela gown (I had order the wrong dress at first). They were able to cancel it and place the order for the dress instead without much trouble. The only thing that prevents me from giving them the 5 stars is the shipping. Two dresses were shipped with FedEx but the other two were sent with UPS which took 2 and half weeks to arrive!!! Because of the delay I had to reschedule my three daughters first communion (it was so embarrassing). "Thanks" to covid I could reschedule because receptions aren't allowed yet in the state I live in, so I only had to inform my closest family members that the mass had to be rescheduled due to the fact that dress was still in transit (from CA all the way to VA). If they would have sent out all of the dresses with FedEx I wouldn't have had to wait and reschedule. Overall I had a great experience with this business.
