The driver of the 2 heading towards Ilkeston just sailed past the stop and was unapologetic, rude and implied the walk would do me good (I’m 71 with an arthritic hip). I’m v angry!

Their buses are dirty, outdated, dusty and uncomfortable. The seats look at least 20-30 years old and are so uncomfortable. Most of the drivers seem to hate their jobs and are rude to passengers.

Two stars.

What time do they actually turn up?

I’ve been using their service for multiple years and I don’t think a service has ever arrived on time.

I’ve waited numerous times for over an hour plus over expected arrival time for service that has travelled 8 miles from start point.

Without government subsidies, TrentBarton would fail.

They cannot provide the service they claim to deliver.

If I could, I’d rather hop than use Trent Barton.

Yet again the 6.2 service is conspicuous by its absence and no reasons or excuses are given. Over the years I've sworn by Trent (later TrentBarton) buses: now I spend most of my time swearing at them!

Unreliable buses due to poor maintenance. Not going to waste my time going on i just want trent barton to know i will be reporting them to the dvsa as unfit for public transportation and when they dont like what they see and they wont. I want you to know. Its me eho cost you you operating license

The drivers think it’s funny when you press the bell and then speed up and slam the brakes on at the stop to send you flying. It must be a competition with them. NCT are different again.

Bus i4 leaving market square 16.10 pm. Bus no 132. Driver needs to go for customer service training.i asked him if the bus will be leaving soon. He ignored me. I felt embarrassed for that.

The V1 from derby to Burton at 4.45 is consistently late by half an hour, almost every day I use it I'm stuck in derby bus station waiting for ages.

The Nines.
I went to catch the 22.05 bus at Swanwich Church going towards Alfreton. That bus arrived at 21.59 six minutes early. If the bus is early it should wait at Ripley Market Place until its alloted time of 22.00 it therefore appears that Trent Barton have perfected warp drive and can arrive at its destinaton before it leaves its starting place. I just wish that its time tables showed it had perfected time travel.
What a waste of time as a bus company, but fantastic for travel between planets and time. How can we get rid of this company

I am really starting to dislike Trentbarton. Red Arrow is my biggest problem. It is ridiculously too expensive and there is just no purpose for it at all!

This morning I waited for my bus that was nearly 30 minutes late in the freezing and icy cold. The driver hardly said a word to me, didn't apologise, and was as miserable as sin!

On my way back home, I boarded the next bus. The driver asked me where I was going and simply told me he wasn't going there in a whiny voice. When it was clearly the right bus! Leaving me in the dark and cold! I had to make other arrangements! It's absolutely disgusting!

Absolutely ridiculous, there’s multiple occasions from week to week where buses are either delayed or cancelled it’s absolutely ridiculous, I don’t know how Trent Barton calls themselves the good bus company when they can’t grasp the simple dynamic of punctuality. I think I could walk to my destinations faster than Trent Barton buses can get there. Clearly if they’re late this often you need better drivers.

I love the service it gets me where I need to be. But the drivers are always so weird with me when I ask for a zig zag plus. Some even asking why I want it. I find it really off putting because if I need a zig zag plus then that’s MY business. I work late at my bar job in Long Eaton and need the bus home past midnight but I shouldn’t have to explain myself when I ask for a ticket you offer. The driver today looked at me like she just couldn’t be bothered with me.

Always unreliable, late and slow.

Hardly ever on time, one bus i get comes every 12mins yet I had to wait 35mins for it, another bus i get at 7 did not turn up and it had no indication thst it wasnt so I had to wait an hour fo the next one, buses are normaly. Around 20mis late

Stood at Derby bus station,18:25 Swift bus pulled up, let people off and then disappeared without anyone being allowed to board !! How can a bus company advertise a bus and then it disappears without even a single word. Total joke. Trent Barton you are disrespectful and you should be ashamed.

The bus was scheduled for half three, I was there at 1520 and the bus wound up coming at 4pm. I had just moved to Derby, needless to say this was my first day at work 🥺🥺way to go!

The i4 buses in Nottingham have become a joke at this point. What is the point of having a bus stop, waving your hand, being clearly visible — and the driver still flies past like you’re not even there? This isn’t a one-off mistake. It has happened to me ten times now.

I show up on time. I stand at the stop. I wave. They ignore me. Every single time it makes me late for work and puts unnecessary stress on my day. How is a bus supposed to help people get to places when it literally refuses to pick people up?

It’s genuinely messed up. Sort this out.

The comet is the worst bus ever it's always late then they don't even say sorry just so bad they honestly shuld take it off cause it's useless

Worst to date. Went out to catch bus on Wednesday 3rd Dec 2025 in Mickleover. App said buses due as normal (never to be believed!!) No bus. Eventually we started to walk. Walked for 40 minutes to reach the Royal Hospital and still no bus. Whilst walking along Uttoxeter road towards the hospital NO LESS THAN 6 Mickleover buses headed towards Mickleover over a few minutes. Waited for bus at hospital and then 3 came along together with another a minute later. You coundn't make this up. Utter, utter shambles. Sadly this is what we expect on Mickleover buses.
