Shit

Hardly ever on time, one bus i get comes every 12mins yet I had to wait 35mins for it, another bus i get at 7 did not turn up and it had no indication thst it wasnt so I had to wait an hour fo the next one, buses are normaly. Around 20mis late

Stood at Derby bus station,18:25 Swift bus pulled up, let people off and then disappeared without anyone being allowed to board !! How can a bus company advertise a bus and then it disappears without even a single word. Total joke. Trent Barton you are disrespectful and you should be ashamed.

Extremely late

The bus was scheduled for half three, I was there at 1520 and the bus wound up coming at 4pm. I had just moved to Derby, needless to say this was my first day at work 🥺🥺way to go!

If I could give this service negative stars, I would..

The i4 buses in Nottingham have become a joke at this point. What is the point of having a bus stop, waving your hand, being clearly visible — and the driver still flies past like you’re not even there? This isn’t a one-off mistake. It has happened to me ten times now.

I show up on time. I stand at the stop. I wave. They ignore me. Every single time it makes me late for work and puts unnecessary stress on my day. How is a bus supposed to help people get to places when it literally refuses to pick people up?

It’s genuinely messed up. Sort this out.

Worst to date EVER!!!

Worst to date. Went out to catch bus on Wednesday 3rd Dec 2025 in Mickleover. App said buses due as normal (never to be believed!!) No bus. Eventually we started to walk. Walked for 40 minutes to reach the Royal Hospital and still no bus. Whilst walking along Uttoxeter road towards the hospital NO LESS THAN 6 Mickleover buses headed towards Mickleover over a few minutes. Waited for bus at hospital and then 3 came along together with another a minute later. You coundn't make this up. Utter, utter shambles. Sadly this is what we expect on Mickleover buses.

Utter crap

Utter crap. The buses are ALWAYS late. Half the bus shelters aren't up to standard do if your stood waiting while it's raining you're getting soaking wet.

Vanishing buses

Sat here once again after work in the dark at Beeston Interchange waiting for the indigo bus that keeps disappearing from the departures screen

Where do I start?!

Where do I start?!

Your marketing is the really reliable bus company. Put UN in front of that strapline and branding on the bus that hardly ever turns up.

You've overpromised and under delivered. I try to take your bus the least I can. Today, for example, I had to wait, playing cat and mouse, hopping to the different stops on the route.

My son relies on this route to get to work, really early in the morning. His wages are getting docked because he's consistently late.

I'm told by your customer service people at Derby Bus Station that you have no vehicles because "one blew up" and one was in an accident and you can't borrow any more vehicles.

Not good enough.

I understand about lack of vehicles because I worked in transport communications.

But why don't you use some of the Flyers, Allestree, Mickleover or Sixes, that are every 10/15/20 mins, as substitutes.

It's a rubbish argument that if you put a branded service on people won't get on because they think they're on the wrong route.

Any bus that comes this way, - Derby to Ashbourne - - really has one bus. Any passenger would stop the bus and ask where is it going? Don't buy the defence.

Sort it out. It's getting really tedious.

I feel so sorry for your drivers, who on this route are great, but are getting the heat from passengers, and your customer service team. It's not fair. They are human and doing their jobs. Defending what management/ operations don't seem to be able to sort out.

The Saturday 8.30 Indigo bus finally arrived…

The Saturday 8.30 bus finally arrived at 8.48. No apology, no smile. Quite possibly the worst bus service available. Sometimes they turn up, sometimes they are late, sometimes they don't turn up at all.
Buy several cheap cars and leave them scattered about rather than trust this shambles of a service. Expensive and bad for the environment, but worth not having to play will the buss turn up bingo.

Absolutely rubbish service

Absolutely rubbish service! We get to the bus stop and they are never on time, always early. It’s such a joke that we get to the bus stop early only for the bus to be driving past because it’s early. We got to the bus stop for 5:13 to get the 5:16 bus yet both buses into Nottingham town had gone. Why they can’t wait 3 mins at the bus stop until the designated time is beyond me.

All the threes drivers are amazing

All the threes drivers are amazing . Great example just now as I’m on the 3C to Nottingham Victoria centre , stopping in hucknall an old lass struggling to board the bus with her frame… lovely driver got off the bus, helped her on telling her ‘no worry as there is no rush on my bus’ totally putting her at ease … this is just one of thousands of examples I’ve witnessed of the kindness of these drivers. They also usually wait until you are seated before driving off which to a mobility challenged person like myself is a god send as some drivers of other companies start driving as soon as you have paid leaving you to bounce and bang down the aisle to your seat . Many thanks to all of the wonderful threes bus drivers

Lost rucksack…

cannot praise Layton at the Trent Barton Broadmarsh office and his team for their help in locating and returning my rucksack when I left it on the bus. All involved went above and beyond, so we were able to continue our journey and go on our holiday. A big thanks to them all for their help.

Worse bus company Why does the bus…

Worse bus company Why does the bus driver on the rainbow one stop every 3-5 minutes at every stop coming out of Langley mill and Eastwood? If he’s early for the stop then surely it would make him late for the next stops if he’s stopping at EVERY bus stop for 5 minutes no? Oh and I’m waiting for a refund for a uber from the other day seeing as it deemed impossible to catch the bus in the morning on that day which caused me to lose half a day wages and my time. not worth the stress avoid this company 0/5

SKYLINK...East Midlands to Nottingham…

SKYLINK...East Midlands to Nottingham via Long Eaton, On Monday 13/10/2025 at around 17:15 I got onto the bus at EMA driven by a young driver named Dan, who couldn't have been more helpful. He was very polite and obliging by helping everyone with their cases.
Just an overall impressive young man who should be congratulated and is an absolute asset to the company.

Worst experience I ever had.

Worst experience I ever had.
Late for pick Up 30mim, late for drop of 1h. Driver did not know how to read a road , dumbest driver I ever drove with. If you can,swap him for someone with IQ and Bus dutys experience. Next bus x38 even chatch Us and drove pass... and still driver of our bus Not making any adjustments...

I have had enough!!

I have had enough!!! The bus never shows up on time!!!!!! When the bus is late it doesn’t tell you in advance so you end up being stranded for another half an hour until the other bus decides to show up another 10 minutes late!!!!! The MD Mr Morgan needs to up his game!!!!

I’m glad we have Trent Barton here…

In my experience, most Trent Barton drivers are thoroughly professional and helpful – including the guy on the Keyworth this morning who had to make another diversion following more roadworks in the village that he said they hadn’t been made aware of. Sure, it's never great when things go wrong. The test is how the company responds and I have always found the customer service staff helpful and willing to address problems. The buses are clean and most timetable issues appear to be down to issues such as congestion and a creaking roads system that the drivers can't control. It's a stressful job for them much of the time and I don't underestimate how difficult it is providing a public transport service in the Internet age. I don't criticise those who have legitimate complaints and it's right to expect those to be resolved. I also think it's important to recognise when things go right because people appear to go online rarely to say something positive.

Absolutely shocking service especially the comet bus.. always late or never turns up no information to say its cancelled.. to say this company been running for over 90 years and all the buses they have they still cant provide a reliable bus service....

What’s Happened?

World’s most unreliable bus company! If you’re lucky for them to turn up, which is rare. I’ve had 3 buses cancelled in a day, particularly on the sixes route. There’s no communication for the fact that they’ve been cancelled, just have to ring and find out. They’ll overcharge you a lot, often ill be charged on my mango and my card, I know someone who was sent into 20 pounds of overdraft when they wasn’t even in the country by this company! Disgusting, sort it out. Drivers don’t know what’s happening with the machines, they’ll say your cards declined and kick you off the bus, but you’ll be charged later on!
