After an initial hiccup over whether to have a diesel or petrol car, we were advised, in view of our yearly low mileage, to buy a petrol car. This we did and we have been extremely pleased with our 2016 Vauxhall Mokka. Thank you Trade Cars for your patience and helpful advice.

Buying cars is my absolute least favourite activity, and I had quite a few bad experiences searching for this car before I found these guys. Scott made the whole experience utterly painless. Great range of cars, no aggressive selling, just friendly and informative service from everybody I dealt with. It was worth the drive to Essex to get exactly the car I wanted for a reasonable price....it is how things should be!! Other dealers take note!

The service with trade price cars was very good. Stuart the salesman did everything in his power to get a good deal for me and for that I thank him very much! Delivery driver was brilliant and the overall condition of the car is fab. Hit a little bump when a warning light came on on delivery day but it was sorted within a week with a full replacement of a sensor and also a full tank of fuel was given as courtesy. Would recommend!

Look overall the experience was ok. 5 stars no.
Viewing the car they was great.
Purchased a car completed paperwork was offered a drink while this was all done and set up to collect the day after after a MOT and some body work scratches was to be worked on. Arrived at agreed time car was dirty inside with crumbs/debris on the seats and in centre console. Body paint wasn’t even done. They called the body work guy over who stated he wasn’t told about it and that why they wasnt done and got to work on dealing with the scratches straight away. The car was then “recleaned” inside. It then transpired they needed to go to the post office to sort the tax out for the vehicle as there was no V5C document and I couldn’t go anywhere until that was done.
All in all I was there nearly 2 hours and I even had to ask for a drink (it’s the small things) as one wasn’t offered while I waited 2 hours nearly to pick the car up and all of it it could have been done before I went to collect.
My wife left with the kids as they was getting bored and started to become restless. We was meant to be going elsewhere after but the delays prevented this.
A month later I’ve found out from dvla there is a problem with the tax as sort code was incorrect for DD. This being ether the post office fault or the dealer so I can’t place blame there but we’ve been driving with no tax for 4 weeks with no idea all because no v5c was present bare in mind I had no control of this the dealer went to the post office. .

What I will say is when I phoned up to sort it the man was gonna let me know what they was gonna do as I can’t now drive the vehicle. I’ve had to chase them up and turned out he was called to a meeting but apparently someone was sent again to post office. It would have be nice to be kept informed of that as I was expecting a phone within minutes, not 30-45 mins later.
2 hours after first phone call I was told it was now sorted and everything was double checked this time with the post office

Overall the experience at pick up was frustrating and should have been dealt with before I got there and while I can’t place blame all on them for the tax issue it overall leads to a frustrating/stressful buying experience for the money we spent.
The £149 buyers fee for the exceptional experience and preparation just didn’t deliver.

Great customer service and the cars on offer are a cut above any other used car garage I looked at

I've known of trade price cars for a long while and have heard fantastic reviews about them so i decided to purchase a car from them. I'm so happy I did as the salesman peter was really nice to talk to and deal with.
Even when I went to pick up the car today when Peter was busy another college signed off all the paperwork with me who was again really nice to speak to. They're not pushy at all when it comes to the extras or anything.

It was honestly the best experience I've had in buying a new car. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.
