Good mecharnic

Brakes done at my home for a very reasonable price , turned up when they said and done the job professionally.

Great service good communication. Good value

It would have been 5 stars but when I booked the service I was told payment would not be taken until the service was completed,it was taken two days before.It didn't make any difference to me but some people are on a tight budget

Booked a Fault Finder service for £99 on Saturday after the engine fault light came on on my way to my daughter’s. Long journey hone next day and was worried about doing it without a diagnostic check first. I didn’t know any local garages so was very relieved I could book this service with the AA (especially as a breakdown customer). They were due to come out between 1-8pm. They phoned at 5pm to cancel because the mechanic had an emergency. So 3 hours before the time-slot expired their one mechanic had an emergency that would last at least 3 hours. Left me in the lurch completely because at that time I couldn’t book an alternative! The new slot was Tuesday so had to request the refund option. Extremely disappointed and now have to wait up to 24 days for a refund. Found a local garage service to come on Sunday luckily, only £60 and I didn’t have to pay them in advance. Would never try AA service again as can’t be relied on to keep bookings made and paid for in advance and in full.

Easy to book, appointment with 2 days at a very reasonable price. The technician called to say they were on the way and kept me informed through the work, which took just under 2 hours. The vehicle was test driven to ensure working properly and the technician explained what to do if further problems became apparent. Very professional service.

The man who came out to carry out the service on my car was really really lovely! He was there on time and did all the work and not to mention my car now feels as good as new! He really is an asset to the AA!
The booking process was easy, the price was even better as I had a discount and the fact that they can to the house is an added bonus!

Not happy with paying £99 for your mobile mechanic to basically tell me the exact same thing your roadside assistant told me,your web site led me to believe he would be able to repair the problem on the spot, instead I now have to book the car in to a garage,which I would have done first if your website directed me to that option when I requested it instead of directing me to the mobile engineer option which on this occasion was not the best option

In the lead up to the mechanic coming out to my car they kept me well informed of when they would arrive via email and text. The mechanic (Niall) was friendly and really helpful. Thank you Niall!

The service was very good the mechanic was very thorough and knowledgable and informative and overall great value

Great price. Called before arrival. Work completed in the time predicted. No mess. No arranging lifts, just able to get on with my day.

The mechanic was great very professional, the only downside was your final payment possesse with the 1p addition programme which caused a problem, ie the final payment wouldn't go through, i had to ring up a human to talk too, is why you only get 4 stars instead of 5,,,,,

I would give the mechanic who serviced my care 5 stars without hesitation.

Unfortunately, the report that was then issued lacked any of the detailed information and advisories that the mechanic had told me about, but which I would have liked to have on record.

When I tried to contact the AA via their official email address to ask about this information, my email was instantly bounced back as spam. So I'm not actually able to easily contact them to ask a question.

I regard this as utterly unproffessional and discourteous. I have never had emails bounce from any other organisation ever and would not recommend them again for this reason.

I booked AA Smart care for mobile brake pad change. The online booking process was simple and the price was excellent!
In the day Mick called me within the expected slot to advise he was 15mins away.
He was a highly experienced mechanic, and a really genuinely nice and friendly guy, he got to work on the brakes and was done in no time.
The whole process was minimum effort, fuss or impact. How great having a reputable company mechanic come to your home to complete the work and it cost less than the inconvenience of booking into a garage.. I’d definitely recommend and will definitely do again as and when needed.

So easy to have my car serviced at home. No having to drive to my local garage to drop off and then return to collect.

Travis called ahead of time and kept in communication about the time of his arrival. He took responsibility of an issue which he solved to enable him to carry out the scheduled work. Travis was friendly and professional. Easy to book, competitive price and great service.

Lee the mechanic was on time very helpful in explaining what he was doing. Would highly recommend.
