Service to my Nissan completed by Phil Francis who I found to be very friendly, polite and courteous throughout. The service came with a detailed report on the work carried out and other vehicle checks which I found very helpful as the car is due MOT very soon so I can now book the test with confidence. The service was completed at home which I found very beneficial as I didn't have the inconvenience of having the car in a garage for hours or the travelling to / from a garage. The service was completed with the minimum fuss and no mess whatsoever. This is my second home service with the RAC, (both completed by Phil), and I will definitely book again next year, and heartily recommend the service to anyone thinking about it. The booking process was very simple and straightforward - even for an older non tech person like myself.

Female on holiday and car packs up I was so pleased with the mechanic that attended he was very kind and helpful which I appreciate d please pass my thanks on to him although I did thank him at the time

Kevin Grimwood called today to service our BMW X3 M Sport which is now 7 years old. He arrived on time and carried out the service in a professional manner. He was very courteous and friendly and quoted for any work which required attention in the future.

Do not book an at home service. I have always previously left positive reviews for the RAC and had positive interactions so I thought I’d book an at home service, since it seemed convenient and RAC have always been friendly despite the slightly higher price. This was my error, stick to the breakdowns.
I had a service booked, checked that it was confirmed through enquiries as i had missed the call so as instructed on the text i had text back my confirmation. enquiries confirmed I was booked in, I also got an automatic confirmation email and text and the day before appointment I got another text confirming they would be in touch prior to arriving.

I waited home all day. I answered lots of scam calls thinking it might be the mechanic as I had turned my call screening off specifically to make myself available for the mechanic to contact me, but nobody turned up. Not even a call, text or email to say nobody intended to show up. the RAC did not value my time.

I made contact to ask what happened, and the enquiries team informed me that as I had not answered the call (despite me having responded to the text, just as I had been prompted and checking with the enquiry team) they ‘decided’ to cancel. Seemingly they also ‘decided’ not to let me know.

I had already struggled with making the booking online and requested the mechanic who fitted my new battery do it for me, which the system wouldn’t give him a quote for. they’ve now informed me if I still require the service I should go through the booking process again.

How do I know that if i waste my time making the booking again that i won’t also be wasting my time waiting home all day for a service that won’t show up!

I work full time and have a side business so having that kind of time taken away from me for the “convenience” of having it at home is not worth it, especially taking into account the extra money it costs for this “convenience”.

I’ve requested the complaints procedure and haven’t received a copy nor response as of yet.

Michael arrived on time and worked efficiently in servicing my vehicle.
He was polite, friendly and informative.
All jobs were carried out very well. Test drive was done and new windscreen wipers attached as pre-requested.
All paperwork was sent through to me straight away.
All in all, excellent work.

I would give -5 stars if it were possible.

I booked an RAC mobile mechanic appointment two weeks in advance, only for it to be cancelled on the day. After rearranging, the mechanic arrived during the final hour of the appointment window carrying the wrong parts.

Over the next three hours, there was constant back-and-forth trying to resolve the issue, but ultimately the repair could not be completed. As a result, my family was left stranded without a working car, and an entire day was wasted.

I want to be clear that Andy, the mechanic, was excellent. He was professional, helpful, and did everything he could to get the job done. Unfortunately, RAC completely failed him by not supplying the correct parts and putting him in an impossible position.

To make matters worse, I have received no apology, no follow-up email, and no acknowledgement of the inconvenience caused.

Very disappointing experience and a complete failure of customer service and communication from RAC. I would not recommend this service based on my experience.

Was kept up to date about arrival, Connor was pleasant and talked me through the repair. Ease of booking and would use again.

The guy that turned up to do the service was brilliant, polite, helpful, and did his job well (as far as I know lol)

John phoned to say he was on his way and arrived when he said he would. His explanation of work to be carried out was easy to understand and very informative. He pointed out an issue he had found which we would not have otherwise known about.
