Lorraine has been so helpful and went the extra mile to resolve complex issues.
Great customer service. The company is very supportive if we have any questions/queries. We have a dedicated representative (Lorraine) who is always willing to support us whether it be by email, phone or a visit to our school in person.
Customer service is non existent. Very frustrating that there is no telephone number to call and that they don’t honour their response time of three days.
My sons school has just moved to sQuid. Nothing but issues, there’s now £35 in limbo. Still no money displaying on his spending account.

An awful, untrustworthy company. My school decided not to use them anymore and switch to a new provider. Squid closed my account, leaving me no way to reclaim my money. They gave no warning of this, no email, and no automatic refund on account closure. When I finally got through to them they told there would be a £10 admin charge in order to provide my refund!!! Disgusting, thieving and absolutely outrageous service. THEY ARE UNREGULATED BY ANY FINANCIAL SERVICE CONDUCT AUTHORITY DO NOT USE!!!
I was asked to update my card payments as it had expired. I followed all their instructions but kept getting an error message saying ‘something has gone wrong’ followed by a code. I am unable to click on tabs such as settings to update my card details and it just chucks me out with the same message. I am 2 days away from missing payment deadlines and frustrated as Squid are slow at responding. I don’t know what else to do and can’t top up my daughter’s account or purchase things. I have tried on numerous devices but are still unable to top up or change card details.
It worked well at first but once the account is to be closed we weren’t able to receive the refund and not willing to resolve problems

The team are quick to fulfil requests, providing the requested information. Very helpful.
Squid decided to run a massive overhaul a month before the summer holidays which resulted in my son being refused food by canteen staff. My account hasn’t worked using any of their suggestions or avenues. Every time I try to load money, the online account shows an error code and I can’t get any further even though they’ve told me they’ve fixed the error. I have even sent money by bank transfer which 4 working days later, had still not cleared in the account. This is an unacceptable level of service.

Louis is an asset to your team. Throughout the last 36 hours, my issues with sQuid Pay have been handled professionally, sympathetically and quickly by him. Despite my frustrated tone (at an upgrade being scheduled a week before school breaks up for summer!!) Louis has worked so hard to resolve the issue and has called me several times today to update me on the progress. Thank you Louis.
Gary was so super helpful! All documents and information i asked for, he provided, even completing the task for me (when i could have easily done it myself) but he kindly offered.

I had requested money to be refunded to my account. It only makes sense for Squid to refund me via the account I paid the money, but no! Squid not only paid me back using different accounts but paid me in instalments which is quite absurd. I was really confused and wasted my time as I had to keep track if they had refunded me the correct amount. Furthermore, it has been weeks since I asked to be refunded another set of money and that still hasn't come! Very disappointed and annoyed!!

The calls are always answered promptly and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They always manage to resolve any issues we might have. Sometimes they have to refer to a colleague but will always follow it up for us.
Gary Muringapasi went over and above to help me with some registration letters that were needed urgently.
Awful system. My son receives free school meals but my squid account is showing arrears on the account when all my son has had is the free school meal.
I phoned the school and she said it does not show any arrears on her screen but I have squid emailing me telling me I am in debt and to top up
I have emailed them regarding this matter and received an automated email explaining I should not expect any help with this for a long time as they are very busy.

Have bumped to 3 stars thanks to John from squid as the issue has been fixed after reading my review.
I am left wondering how long this would have taken if I was just to rely on the email support.
I am still not realy keen on this system as my son can order items even when there is no money on the card. I believe the amount has a daily cap of around £2.80 I just don’t appreciate a system that would put me in debt

Initially I lost my login details and found it very hard to make a new account because the application is not very user friendly. However today I managed to locate my original account and all is fine now.

Absolute nightmare...topping up my daughter account for lunch is a nightmare...been trying to top up this time for 2 days ready for school tomorrow and as soon as you hit checkout it's just a blank screen! I have nothing in to make her a lunch ti take and the school is cashless. Looks like she's got no lunch tomorrow!
When it all works it’s fine. But getting in contact to find out where a payment has gone is almost impossible. I’ve filled out both their online contact form, and emailed customer support, with nothing back in over 2 weeks. Support is woeful.

The company kept taking money from my daughters lunch account. I emailed them several times. The school emailed them several times. No one replied. After a month I noticed her account had been resolved but still no communication. Then a week.later an email saying case is closed. The worst customer care I've ever experienced.

Another company that hides their phone number so they can hide away and ignore people.
