Superb Experience
Communications with Irish were friendly, prompt & helpfull.
MDF Direct contacted me asking to confirm one of the measurements. Ensuring it was in MM & not CM. This was reassuring hat the order was going to be 100% correct.
Delivery details were precise & the delivery guy was extremely polite & helpful.
The MDF was stacked very securely in the wagon within its own storage area. The corners of the MDF were protected and it was wrapped ensuring it was delivered in perfect condition.
I would definitly use MDF Direct again.

At Last a Company truly providing a fantastic service!
What a breath of fresh air in a world obsessed with image instead of quality. MDF Direct processed my 'small' order and it was delivered within 3 days! The quality of workmanship was superb, and in addition, each board (I had several sizes some within mm of each other) was clearly labelled with the cut size. Additionally there was a note from Brian wishing me well with my project and giving me a number to call if anything was wrong...which nothing was.
Wonderful service, cannot recommend MDF Direct highly enough.

Absolutely shocking customer service and totally unrealiable. Do not think that you will receive your order in 2-3 days as stated on their website!!! Only order if you are not in a hurry or expect them to deliver as per their stated delivery times.

Absolute garbage company
Absolute garbage company.
I am a carpenter / joiner and deal with companies/ suppliers all the time and these are completely useless.
I couldn’t get a very particular board colour from my usual supplier so use these. They are expensive but I thought as a one off I’d use them as they had the board. Delivery time sent out to me was longer than they have on their website (which they only send you once you have ordered) but it was after Christmas so I thought it was fair enough. But then Monday delivery turned to Tuesday then day by day to Friday.
It eventually turned up at 8.30pm (thank god I sent it to my home address and not the workshop) it turned up without protection on most of it and damaged in one corner. It was for a central panel on a media unit so had to be in good condition. The driver said they gave it I’m that way and showed me on his phone they only responded with a sad face when he addressed the damaged with them.
I contacted them about a partial discount as I was going to have to get free that to the customer and they have blanked me after originally saying they would get back to me.
I’d avoid this company. Not sure how they got so many good reviews but I find it hard to believe they do.

First Class Service
I ordered just before Christmas. I wasn't in a rush and was fully aware the holidays would delay delivery.
The company have been first class. A customer service representative, Sonnie, has kept me informed at every step off the process. She was polite and friendly and I was always aware of where my order was in the system.
I was given plenty of warning of when my delivery would arrive, even to the point where I arranged to be at home then had a short notice medical appointment to get my wife to, she advised me of the time window of the delivery so I knew I had the time to get home to receive it.
The driver Damien was very pleasant, and though I could easily handle the panel myself he offered to carry it right into my house and put it where I needed it.
The panel itself is first class, exactly what I needed and a great match with the other furniture in the room.
I do not hesitate to recommend MDF Direct, and I also will not hesitate to return if I need more of the same.
Gold Star and a Pay Rise for Sonnie please.

Wouldn't trust
After ordering on the 11th December 2024, I am still yet to receive a full delivery of the items ordered. 12/01/2025
I received a delay notification on 16/12/2024 due to an unforeseen incident
another notification on 19/12/2024 due to a delay in delivery operations
I then received the delivery on Christmas eve morning - only to find out that only half of the delivery has been made.
The delivery was then re-arranged for 04/01/2024 and then again cancelled and had to be re-arranged again due to an issue with the warehouse staff having a key issue and not being able to access the warehouse.
I then received a notification that the delivery driver was on the way and would be arriving to deliver the goods 06/01/2025 at 10PM - which is too late as is my customers home and can not be expected to take in delivery at this time, therefore I asked the delivery driver to deliver in the morning in which he said was ok. Only for me to find out that he didn't attempt delivery at all the next day and decided to turn around!
Now another attempted delivery on 13/01/2025 which is tomorrows date, one whole month after an order was made from a company with a 2-3 day lead time stated on the homepage of their website.
The amount of frustration this has caused and upset to my customer has been beyond belief and unhappy with the service is an understatement.

All in all a good service / business idea.
All in all, a good service. Easy(ish) website to order panels, regular email updates, very good helpful delivery driver (Allan). But not suitable if needing boards 'the next day' (or 2-5 days come to that). You just need to be organised and order in good time. Oh, and text messages about 'you need to help unload' are sent even if you only a matchbox sized delivery...(so a bit unecessary)
