I ordered 6 shelves at current lengths for a cupboard. Reasonably priced, cut to my specifications and undercoated which made it much easier when painting. Saved time, effort and money on undercoat.

This is the 2nd time I’ve used MDF Direct and like the first time they were excellent!
From start to finish the service received was impeccable - firstly checking the sizes I ordered were correct before processing, keeping me updated on when they would make the delivery, and the product received was EXACTLY the sizes I requested and no damage to any as they were very well packaged, plus the delivery driver was very friendly and arrived in the time specified. I would 100% recommend MDF Direct, and will certainly use them again for any of my MDF needs - thank you!

Quick delivery, quality product. Needed some matte boards asap for client displays and MDF Direct advertised a quick turnaround. They actually delivered a full day earlier than their earliest estimate and kept me informed throughout the delivery process.

Delivery well communicated and efficient

The MDF was packaged carefully to reduce damage to the corners of the planks. The edges were straight, angles 90 degrees and cut to sub millimetre precision. Would recommend.

I initially had a positive experience with MFC Direct / MDF Direct when ordering samples, which arrived promptly (Delivered by a third party courier). However, my actual main order has been extremely frustrating and costly due to multiple issues with their poor operations, customer service & delivery process.

The delivery and lead times provided on the website were vague, and my order ultimately arrived a day late from these. When it did arrive, the driver — who I must commend for his professionalism — pointed out that two of the three custom-cut panels I had ordered were missing. He mentioned this was not an isolated incident, as he had faced a similar issue earlier that day in Newcastle.

I contacted customer support to resolve the issue and arrange delivery of the missing panels. Unfortunately, their customer support team, based overseas, while polite, lacked the authority to make decisions directly. This resulted in a frustrating back-and-forth process as they had to repeatedly consult their warehouse team (whom customers cannot contact directly).

I was then assured the missing items would arrive the following day, but they didn’t. I received a text confirming delivery for the next day after that, only to be told shortly after that it had in-fact been delayed again until the day after.

This entire experience has been unacceptable. I’ve incurred additional costs of £140 for a joiner whose time was wasted due to these delays, not to mention the time and stress involved in chasing updates.

I expect a call from someone in the UK with the authority to make adequate compensation decisions and provide a proper explanation for this poor service. The director, Brian Bluett, speaks openly about his commitment to solving these common industry ordering issues on their websites, yet my experience reflects exactly the kind of problems he claims to eliminate.

I’m extremely disappointed with how this has been handled and expect appropriate action to be taken.

My entire experience, from the ease of forming my initial cutting list, getting an instant quote, excellent follow-up communication with prompt and courteous delivery, was first class.
As a carpenter with only a small workshop; to be able to source accurately cut to order MDF makes it possible for me to take on larger jobs and complete them far quicker.
I’m absolutely delighted and am already planning future projects I wouldn’t have previously considered.

Excellent customer service, reasonably priced goods and prompt delivery. I was contacted very soon after submitting my bespoke order, to verify a couple of measurements. They could have just cut to my request, but I liked the fact that they made the effort to check.

The delivery driver was a cheerful and helpful, despite a late evening delivery and many more miles still to do.

Absolute exact cutting to accuracy less than a mm. Good quality veneer facing. Excellent communications post order and pre cutting (to confirm dimensions needed and veneer spec) and post cutting pre-delivery. Very helpful, cheerful, delivery driver.
Can’t really fault the product or service at all.
